Yay! Sounds fun! Kind of a long walk from California to Utah though."
I'd love to do something like that sometime. Did you ever read A Walk Across America?

I have not. A friend from my youth did this sort of thing, as I referenced above. Here is a short piece he wrote about one of his experiences:http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/2...
Last night, to first base. Four straight pitches.
Getting up earlier and earlier for my 5K walk every morning ... 81 degrees at 5:00 a.m. todayThe seven months of summer are not the best time to live in AZ.
I like a dry heat as long as there is a cool breeze. Moist heat, like in the south has more aroma and sound to it. More flavor, if you will.
tuesday, I walked about 5 or 6 miles, and then suffered heat exhaustion due to dyhydration... teach me to walk that far without enough water. So yesterday I cabbaged and rehydrated.
I usually walk up to my local library to pick up/drop off my books. And then there is the usual walking around to shop! ;)
We are considering a move to a house where I will be able to walk to my new job. Hurrah! I was SO AFRAID that moving to Colorado Springs meant I would have to commute a half hour to work.
Yes, Lg, I'm changing jobs again. Suck it. I deserve the BEST school ever.
And Larry, Lg, I hid the job search and move from the entire internet. You guys are nearly the first to know.

I have an hour 1/2 commute each way for work for 3.5 years now. When I am good and public transport it I read much more than the weeks where I am lazy and drive.I walked around the Rememberance Shrine yesterday. Peaceful.
How can we stalk you effectively if you keep withholding important information? Now Jim has to make last-second adjustments to his schedule, which is quite inconvenient.

Not much walking yesterday, but I did ride 32 miles. I usually do closer to 50 but I needed to get home so I could see "Brave" with my family.

It was as predictable as any other Disney production, but I thought it was fun. There were some moments that made me giggle, and some that almost brought a tear.Nice to see a Disney feature character with two living parents (unlike Bambi, Snow White, Cinderella, etc., etc.).
