message 73: by Teri (new)

Teri (fotoshark) | 5 comments Literally just finished the 2nd book in a series. It was a random one I found on the shelf at chapters while looking for something else that ended up in me going back to find the rest in the series lol. I'm usually not a huge fan of "series" books as I hate waiting, when i'm on a reading roll I don't want or like to stop. And some times the series books the middle books are a complete waste and could've been summed up in one or possibly 2 books.
Anyways this series is called Partials. (Book 2 Fragments and book 3 Ruins). It is your average Half human half biosynth/robot created by man rebel to war with the humans and the world ends to a flu virus called RM that we don't know which side created or released that has killed all but about 30k humans and left them infected and unable to birth a child that survives more than 3 days. The "partials" (half human) are also now dying off with a so called "expiration date" so you see both sides are fighting to find a way to survive. That's a lot to take in but believe it or not these books I personally found awesome! Book 2 was even better. And unfortunately I am waiting for book 3 to be released so I can finish the series lol

Also on my shelf which I will start reading today is a book called "The book of neophyte" my cousin recommended it to me and told me the author is also a local. It's another post apocalyptic type book as well so we will see how it goes. :)

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) I am about a third of the way through The Coffee Trader by David Liss. So far it's pretty good, but not excellent. I will be finishing it, and will likely try another book by the same author in the near future.
