Orianna looked down to her hands awkwardly. How did her day go? "Um, well... It's an okay day I suppose." She was trying to forget half of it, but she didn't want to say that out-loud. That would really make Ash suspicious. Or would it? He was so drunk right now that Orianna didn't know if he would even process half of what she could say.

Ash smiled. "That's good," he said. "Good days are good. I remember having good days..." He suddenly became distant, caught up with remembering his happier days. But then his smile vanished, and his eyes darkened, remembering when those days ended.
Catching the change in his mood, Orianna came a little closer and sat down on her own sleeping bag, facing him still. "What happened...?" She knew she probably shouldn't prod for answers while he was in this state of mind, but her curiosity was winning out over her sense. She couldn't help but want to know about Ash's past. Really, Orianna didn't know that much about him, just that he was a hunter and Sam's human. That was it.
He looked at Orianna for a moment. It was an odd question; What happened? It meant different things for different people. But Ash had a pretty good idea what she was asking about. And so he began his story; “I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I lived my parents, my brother, my grandparents, my aunts, uncles and cousins. We were all werewolf hunters – we were the best in the business. I also had a girlfriend. Her name was Alicia...” he drifted off a little. He shook his head and continued. “We - we all decided to go hunting in the Appalachian region. The whole family. I took Alicia, too. But, uh,” he coughed, “werewolves ambushed us.”
Orianna listened intently as he described the first half of his tale. Judging by the way Ash kept drifting off, she knew it most likely wouldn't be a pleasant story. But then again, no one's past was ever really good. She stayed quiet and nodded a little bit, trying to show that she was listening.
“It was the biggest pack I’ve ever seen,” Ash said. “We hadn’t a chance. With every werewolf we took down, five of us were killed. I watched everyone die. My mom, my dad, my brother, my grandfather, Alicia... I tried to protect them, but I couldn’t. They were torn to shreds, every last one of them.” He took a shaky breath at the recollection. He remembered how the ground was covered in blood, the stench that was in the air, the pain he felt. He remembered it all. “I killed as many as I could on my own, but I knew it was only a matter of time. Just as a werewolf was about to pounce behind my back, Sam came. He helped me kill some of them off – but the others fled. Sam told me that I could avenge my family by destroying this academy, along with all the werewolves in it. I agreed, and I’ve been here ever since,” he looked over at her, his eyes slightly glassy, and gave a sad grin. “The end,” he finished off.
Once Ash was finished, Orianna's eyes shot down to the floor. She felt incredibly guilty and selfish. Here she was, saddened by the fact that she'd have to stay away from Henry when Ash had lost all the things close to him. At least Henry was still alive and well and all Orianna had to do was keep away. Ash's Alicia had died. He couldn't see her even if he wanted to. "I'm so sorry Ash..." Orianna spoke, knowing it wouldn't help at all to apologize. Sorry didn't make anything right.
Ash reached down to the pocket in his pants, and took out a flask. He unscrewed the top and pressed it to his lips, throwing his head back and swallowing the drink inside. When he was finished, he put it into his pocket again. “I don’t want yer sympathy,” he murmured, hate burning in his next words. “I want those animals dead.”
"Oh..." Orianna sighed, a tad startled by his harsh words. She knew he despised werewolves but what about all the other supernaturals in the world? Did he hate those too? Orianna figured she might as well ask, "What do you think of the other supernaturals then? I mean, do you hate them too?"
Ash looked at her, his eyebrow raised. “Are you jokin’?” he asked, then leaned closer. His voice was only a whisper. “Those supernaturals kill thousands upon thousands of humans a day. They kill innocent people just because they could. Of course I hate them. Because million other humans have been hurt by these creatures. And I intend to stop it. And besides,” he shrugged away. “Don’t you know what your boyfriend does? If so; do you agree with it?” He waited for her answer.
"H-he's not my boyfriend..." Orianna stated quietly, not looking up. She knew how humans died every day because of supernaturals but Orianna was just thinking about all the supernaturals that were killed because of humans. What if they weren't so different? Henry wasn't a bad person, even if there were some things that he'd done wrong in the past. She didn't know about all of them, but she imagined some had to be pretty awful. Still though, he wouldn't hurt anyone without reason, right? Were all the hunters like that? Would they kill a supernatural just for being who they were? She thought that they would. Ash seemed like he would. Orianna finally glanced up into his eyes, "I was just curious was all..." She knew that she completely dodged his question. Orianna was just hoping he didn't notice. The chances of that happening though were bar-none.
And her chances were very much correct."So you don't agree with it," he said, noticing her silence on his question. He gestured to her as he said, "There you go."
Orianna just shook her head and remained quiet. She felt so conflicted as always, not knowing which side of herself to agree with. On one hand, she agreed with Ash: supernaturals shouldn't be able to run rabid like. Humans did die every day because of them and that was one thing that Orianna didn't like in the slightest. After all, she was 'human' just a little while ago. Losing her family like Ash had would have killed her. But... on the other hand, she didn't think supernaturals were evil. She just didn't. So, supposing that disagreeing with what Ash said wouldn't be a good idea, Orianna went with what he thought, "You're right." She smiled though she couldn't believe what she was saying, "They should be stopped." Orianna bit her lip, thinking of what exactly those words meant. Oh, if Daisy could hear her now...
Ash nodded. "Good," he said. It was settled then; Orianna was on there side. That was good enough for him. Finally feeling tiredness take hold, he lid back onto his sleeping bag. "Night," he murmured, and then fell fast into a nightmare plagued asleep.
Orianna didn't move from her spot until she was sure Ash was asleep. When she was positive, she stood and walked out of the tent, her hands held in front of her. I said what was right. She thought, hardly watching where she was walking. She shook her head, No, I said what I had to. Orianna sighed, not knowing what was right and what was wrong anymore. Somehow, she needed to make a decision, but she found she couldn't. Maybe she needed some fresh air in order to think straight. Her feet carried her outside as she looked up to the sky, watching as it darkened. Everything had seemed so simple a week ago; why couldn't it be like that now when she needed it to be?
((But I don't know what she'll do... You want her to jump up and scream "I LOVE HENRY!" From the top of her lungs?))
((That's what makes them romances ;) See, that's why I'm so ready for the war; she's all ready to switch sides and everything. I'd have one more thing to really push her over the edge but I was thinking of having the whole, you know, Henry battle thing be that.))
((Gah. Please, Tara and Tea - COME BACK. We need this war! Actually, a lot of people have stopped commenting. It's as if everything has frozen. You don't think...))
((Gosh, I hope not. I really really really really really really infinitely many reallys hope that isn't happening. I'd be beyond upset.))
((I know; all of this planning, anticipation and excitement, all for nothing. Do you think we should message one of them? Or would that seem to desperate?))
((I don't think it'd seem that desperate, but I don't know honestly. What would we say in the message anyways?))
((Hmm. You have a point there. Maybe I could say to Tea and Tara, "I posted on the Tunnel topic in SA. I'm just telling you if you didn't get the notification"?))
((So. I'll talk to you tomorrow - it's time for me to hit the hay. Night! (And I hope I didn't overwhelm you with all those songs.)))
((Alright! Goodnight! No, you didn't overwhelm me at all. I love finding new music. I'm almost done with the list :D ))
After a while of standing outside, Orianna decided to head back inside. She still hadn't decided which side of the war she truly felt she belonged to. She may have been on the hunter's and the angel's side, but that didn't mean she belonged there. But though she didn't know she belonged there, she felt she was still loyal to them. She couldn't be having doubts now. No matter what she thought or believed, she couldn't just turn her back on Sam and Ash, not after all they'd done for her.Orianna thought these thoughts as she walked up to the tent Ash slept in. She guessed that she might as well get some sleep while she could and crawled into the tent with him, zipping it shut behind her. She didn't want any other angels to see her acting so human. Crawling into her sleeping bag, she turned so that she was facing away from both Ash and the entrance of the tent. Her eyes fluttered shut, but she found she couldn't sleep yet; the millions of thoughts she had were still running wild through her head. It took just about a half an hour for Orianna to fall asleep and, when she finally did, she was plagued by horrid nightmares that would only be consider pleasant dreams to the likes of the hunters. To her though, they were awful.
In the morning, Ash's eye squinted open. Realizing where he was, he sat up to find himself on top of his sleeping bag, instead of in it. He stretched out his arms and legs before looking around him. Orianna was fast asleep, and Sam was nowhere in sight - as usual. The most annoying this about Ash Wate, was that he never got hangovers. He could have drunk for five men the night before, but would be as fresh as a daisy the next morning. But, there was a catch.
He crawled over to Orianna. “Wake up,” he whispered, shaking her shoulder. “You need to tell me what happened last night.” Yes; Ash had no recollection of what happened last night. He could have been running around butt naked singing the national anthem for all he knew.
As he shook her, Orianna was slowly pulled from her slumber. "Wh-what?" She asked, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Her gaze fell on Ash. He looked urgent, intent on her telling him. But, jeez, Orianna could hardly remember herself. Yesterday was so long and so many other things had happened the she had a hard time remembering everything. "You... Were acting all drunk, I guess." She put her hand down and just told the rest, "And then you told me about your past." Orianna hoped that after he'd told her last night that he wouldn't regret it now.
If Ash did regret telling her about his past, he didn't show it. Of course, he did, but it was too late now to change anything. All he gave was a curt nod. "Right," he murmured, then collected some fresh clothes. Just as he exited the tent, he popped his head back in and said in a quite voice so no angel could hear, "You'll need to eat. I know a place - and don't worry, no angel of hunter sane enough would go in it." His head then disappeared.
Orianna nodded to his suggestion before following him out of the tent. Sunlight peaked out of the few shattered windows that were on the top floor, creating little patches of light here and there on the ground. Orianna's mind was on where he was thinking of eating. She didn't dare ask though. She just walked beside him. "If you want," She said quietly, looking up at his tall figure. "I could just fly us there. Unless you had any other way of getting there..."
Ash continued to walk to the more forested part of the HQ. "Unless you want every supernatural there to see you and more then likely kill you," he said, "I'd suggest we'd walk. Now please leave me alone to change." He held up his clothing as evidence, and disappeared into the forest for a few moments. He returned with his hat and new clothes on. He placed his old clothes somewhere so he could return and retrieve them later. "Ready?" he asked, still straightening his hat.
(view spoiler)Nodding to Ash's suggestion, Orianna supposed that it really wouldn't be the best idea to fly there. Not the best idea at all. Once he was changed, Orianna smiled, "Ready." She didn't think she needed to change. Though it would have been nice, these clothes were new and clean anyways. Besides, it wasn't like she had any clothes to change into anyways. Orianna started walking, looking over her shoulder to make sure Ash was coming.
(view spoiler)Ash walked with a brisk pace to catch up with Orianna. “Right then,” he said when he finally walked beside her. “Follow me.” And with that, both went to the restaurant.
As he trailed behind Vienna into the Hunters HQ, so many thoughts swirled around in Axel's head. Most of them, selfishly, were about himself. How he'd gotten here, what he was going to do now, how much he'd screwed up in the past. That was normal for Axel though; he always contemplated those sort of things. But it seemed that recently, he seemed to be down in the dumps more than usual. Perhaps it was because the things he'd done were finally starting to catch up to him. Even now, as he walked behind Vienna, it was obvious that something was wrong. Axel just didn't know what exactly it was. Catching up to her, Axel just asked quietly, "I'm going to sleep." Dejectedly, he added, "I don't feel well." It was the truth, but not for the reason she may have expected. He didn't feel physically sick, just emotionally and mentally. He didn't know what had gotten into him.
Vienna almost forgot about the acting promise she made as they entered the HQ. Were they still doing that? Well entering meant switching on that same acting switch.
Suddenly, her mouth went running as she grasped Axel by the arm. The bottom floor was empty so they were safe.
"Let's just get away from here. Let's go away. Away somewhere else," she declared quietly before realising what she just said. Quickly dropping her hand, Vienna mumbled "Never mind, night night..." and sprinted up the stairs.
Running over to her tent, Vienna unzipped the entrance flap and clambered in before zipping it again. Now, she swiftly changed into her sleep-wear and clambered into her sleeping bag. Turning on her side, she started her night-long adventure in her petty nightmares.

Axel hadn't known what to think when Vienna grabbed his arm. He'd just listened while she spoke, contemplating ever word that flowed out. She seemed so sure of herself in that moment, like she knew exactly how and where they might go. But Axel, on the other hand, didn't know what she was talking about. Go where? What else was there past this? There wasn't a life for him past this - not that there was much of a life for him here anyways but at least there was something. He had a duty to do, right? He was supposed to be slaying vampires and the other supernaturals that plagued his nightmares. He wasn't supposed to just leave like that. Listening as she walked away, relinquishing the hold on his arm, Axel stood for a while thinking. The ill feeling he'd had from before was still there, threatening to take hold of him any moment now. It was unknown to him why he was feeling such things - this uncontrollable confusion and anxiety that warred inside his being. All he knew was that it was foreign and... well, Axel just didn't know what to make of it.
Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Axel stood for a moment longer before walking sluggishly over to the wall across from him. His back slumped against it as he tried to reign back the small amount of control he'd had just the other day. That seemed like so long ago. There were a few people flooding into the HQ now and, admittedly, they were annoying him with their loud conversations of supernatural slaying. As they neared him, he found his voice and the choice words he wished to through at them but... he didn't. Instead, he just let them pass by without so much as an acknowledgement. The moment they were up the stairs though, Axel nearly cussed himself out. The confusion and rage was swelling in him and he had no one to point the finger at but himself. What he was doing wasn't known to him anymore; he'd yet to figure out his motive in this whole thing. His world was shattered and he couldn't find the pieces to put it back together again.
Ash peacefully sat in front of the tent he stayed in, trying to polish his gun with a cloth. He hadn’t gotten a chance to fetch the other one, but he’d live without it until later. He’d just wait until everything calmed down a bit at the restaurant. He had wondered where Orianna was at first, and how she was going to find her way back. Then he remembered that she could fly wherever she wanted, and let her at it. Besides, he guessed she might want to be alone for a while. He sure as hell did. Even if Samael came, Ash would more than likely bit his head off. He was certainly not in the mood to talk to anyone. So there he sat, alone, cleaning a gun.
Axel stayed slumped against the wall for a good half an hour before he finally decided to head upstairs. His head was aching and, though he knew not what for, he thought that perhaps getting some rest would be good for him. However, he was hardly tired at all. Instead, he was much more tired of his actions, tired of trying and failing, tired of himself. It seemed like a stupid, never ending cycle of try, fail, hate to him and he was getting sick of it. Nothing was going right and, even on the rare chance that it did, it turned around and smacked him upside the head a second later. He was just tired of it. Deciding that he better do something at least, Axel walked up the stairs to the third level of the HQ, buzzing with anger. Really, he was just angry at himself. He was especially upset that he'd let those hunters on the first floor get off without so much as a word. That frustrated him to no end. He didn't know why he hadn't said anything. The words were right there and he hadn't used them. What did that say about him? That he was weak? Strong? He didn't know at all. Axel was just confused with both himself and the world at the moment. In his confused state, he could only think to do one thing when he realized Ash was just sitting there. He didn't know why, but it made him angry. It shouldn't have, but it did. His feet carried him closer and he just stood there, boiling with rage. He wanted to start an argument just to prove that he could and get away with it. However, Ash probably wasn't the best candidate he could have chosen - not at all. "Hey, asshole. What the hell are you doing?" The answer was obvious, but Axel didn't care. He just wanted to be the one to get somebody riled up this time instead of it being the other way around.
(view spoiler)Ash looked up at the sound of the voice, to find Axel. His eyes pierced into his own, wearing a mask of rage on his face. His mouth was drawn in a dead straight line, showing he wasn’t impressed by the young hunter’s words. “Right now I’m thinking about shooting your foot,” he replied, his thick accent noticeable. “What’s wrong with you, boy? Your look grumpier than usual.” And that was saying something, since every time Ash saw him he had a scowl on his face. But today it seemed even worse. Must come with having a nut case for a girlfriend, he thought, vaguely remembering that girl in the bar.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
(view spoiler)Though he should have been unnerved by the comments, Axel wasn't. He didn't give a single crap about how he looked; why should he? He couldn't see himself anyways. However, had Ash said what he was thinking about Vienna, it definitely would have hit the fan. That was low. "And right now, I'm thinking about ripping your head off." Really, Axel was telling the complete and utter truth. Though it would have been incredibly stupid and would most likely get him kicked out of the HQ, Axel didn't care at all. He hated this hell hole anyways; better to get kicked out than hang around and do absolutely nothing like this jackoff was.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
(view spoiler) “Fine by me,” he said, throwing the cloth away and clicking the safety off his gun. Ash nodded towards the sheath holding Axel’s sword. “But just so you know; only an idiot brings a sword to a gun fight.” With one swift moment, he was onto his feet, ready for whatever this little twerp had. He started poking a stick at a bees nest, and now he was about to be stung.
