Eton yawned, laying on the ground of the research floor, Casey beside him loyally. It was far less crowded; later in the night most hunters were gone out hunting. He leaned upwards, deciding to get out of the place and take Casey for a walk.
He was safe; he brought a simply pistol and a knife under his pant leg, equipped with Casey and her leash. He opened the large door, making his way down the street. Lae nodded to him when he left, but there was something in her eyes he didn't like. Like she knew something he didn't. He shrugged it off, used to the feeling, shoving his hand into his pocket as he set off, Casey leading the way eagerly.

As Axel entered the HQ, he felt Vee start to go limp beside him. His hand reached out to grasp a nearby wall, trying to steady the both of them as well as he could. "Hang on." He told her, "I'll figure something out." Axel had no plans though. He couldn't carry her - his ankle prevented that - and he didn't want to call for help. He wanted to help her out on his own but judging from the situation at hand, he'd have to attract attention to them sooner or later.----------
((And a wild Orianna appeared!))
Orianna, who had just been about to collapse in the tent, heard someone come into the HQ. She wasn't sure exactly how she'd heard it - she'd been up on the top floor - but she had. Maybe its some new cool angel power... Orianna thought to herself excitedly, but knew deep down that it wasn't. She'd just gotten lucky.
She slipped out of the tent quietly, trying hard not to wake up the sleeping Ash, and walked silently down the stairs. When she reached the bottom, she noticed a black haired guy and the hunter girl she'd talked to earlier: Vee. The two looked in awful condition - the boy leaning on Vee, obviously in pain, and Vee barely holding on to consciousness - so Orianna's heart called out to them. She couldn't just let them suffer. Rushing over, she approached Vee, "What happened?" Her eyes were alight with concern and worry for her new found friend. She was even slightly worried about the guy even though she had no clue who he was or what he was doing here. Maybe he was a hunter or something.
Samael fluttered into existence, looking far more upset than usual. A fine layer of dripping blood covered his jacket, pants, and hands. It was still fresh.
He didn't bother washing it off, or even just using his Angel powers to clean himself. Instead he sat down slowly on one of the couches on the second floor, receiving awkward glances from other hunters. He felt slightly sick, and he looked around helplessly for another Angel, one he would be familiar with. None of his close friends had arrived at HQ. Besides Orianna, of course, and Ash. But they wouldn't be able to talk about it.

"Oh," Orianna nodded, looking into Vee's eyes. "Okay." She didn't even think to ask what exactly had gone wrong or what the job even was and just went to looking at what was wrong. Vee appeared to be just physically exhausted and the boy seemed to be having ankle problems. I wonder how that happened... She thought to herself but didn't dare ask for fear of invading their privacy or getting yelled at. This boy didn't seem like one to be called out on. "I can help." She told them both, her eyes flickering between their's.-------
Axel entire body was tense as he waited for Vee to spill everything she'd promised to keep a secret. When she didn't, he sighed in relief and made a silent deal with himself not to break anymore of his promises to her. She hadn't done it to him so he couldn't do that to her. But still, Axel didn't want the help of the angel that had approached them. "We don't need your help. We're fine." He hissed. He knew that they really did need her help, but he wasn't about to take it. Axel was stubborn like that.

Orianna bit her lips, her eyes flickering back and forth between Vee and the boy. "Um, I don't think it should." She smiled a little, trying to make the mood lighter, "Just a little bit of pressure I think. Nothing major." Her eyes finally rested on the boy's ankle. She hoped it wouldn't hurt, but really she had no way of knowing. Orianna had never mended a broken bone before and hadn't even healed herself yet. She'd have to add that to her to do list so she knew what the person was going through when she healed them. "I won't heal you if you don't want me to."---------
Axel felt Vee's hand on his waist and wanted to move away but couldn't. He sighed in frustration before nodding in defeat. What else was he going to do? It would take a week at least to let his ankle heal naturally and he didn't have the time or patience for that. "Just get it over with." He waited as the girl kneeled by him and used her magic stuff, whatever it was to fix up his ankle. She'd been right about the pain part: there was mostly only a shoot of pressure as it snapped back into place and the bone mended.
"There." The angel girl said in her sunny voice, "All better."
Axel pushed himself off the wall, slowly putting all his weight on his ankle again. It felt like new. "Okay, now go away." He told her sternly.
Instead of getting upset for not getting a thank you or even an acknowledgement, the angel just nodded, "You're welcome." And with that, she headed back up the stairs, a little bit of a skip in her step. Angels are weird... Axel thought to himself, turning to Vee. "You need help getting up the stairs?" He asked, no hint of concern coming through his voice. He was concerned though, even if it didn't show.

Axel nodded, accepting he'd have to break his number one rule: no entering other people's space. But he'd already broken that rule about five times today, so he didn't care so much about that. "Just stand still." Axel told her, not believing he was about to do what he was about to do. His arms swept under her legs, scooping her up into his arms. "You better hope I don't trip and fall down the stairs..." He said, starting toward the steps. "You weigh a freaking ton. You sure you need to go to Mexico and eat all that fattening food?" Axel was joking, but his tone was so serious that he realized once the words were out of his mouth that she might have taken it the wrong way. She wasn't really that heavy.

Smirking slightly, Axel just shook his head, "I said it before: you're a hunter, not a girl." He was kind of trying to convince himself of that too. He wasn't carrying a girl to her tent, he was helping out a partner. That was it. Axel reached the second floor and groaned. Another flight of stairs to go. "What would you do if I just dropped you?" He asked, only half joking. His arms felt like jello.

"I was just kidding." Axel said, frowning. He wouldn't really drop her. Consider it? Yes. Actually drop her? No. "I can handle it." He started up the second flight of stairs, figuring that if she wanted him to put her down, she'd start squirming or something. But if she did that, he really would drop her. "You thought I was serious..." Axel wasn't sure why he said it aloud, but he did. He wondered if she really thought he was that big of an inconsiderate jerk. Maybe he was though...

Axel shook his head, "No, I wasn't. I wouldn't drop you..." His arms started to shake, he reached the third floor. "Almost there." He said, trying to figure out which tent was hers. It took him nearly two minutes for him to finally find an empty one that wasn't Eton and his. Luckily, it was the right tent. Slowly and carefully, he entered the tent, trying hard not to knock the entire thing over. He had a tendency of doing that. "Here." Axel said, setting her down. His arms were still shaking though as if he couldn't control them. They just felt really weak for some reason; probably from lack of sleep or overworking his muscles. He was strong from wielding his sword around but the wreckage in the hallway hadn't really helped out with the whole in a good condition thing.

Hating that he'd even done something nice for her, Axel clenched his teeth, "Yeah. I should've." He didn't mean it though; they were just empty words. Turning around to go, he paused at the entrance of the tent. His eyes were shut tight, "Just let me... Just let me know if you need anything." Before she could get in a word, he stormed out of the tent, ready to head over to his own tent. Or at least, the tent he was sharing with Eton. It was weird that the guy wasn't back yet. Axel just figured it was some mission he was on though.

Heading to his tent, Axel ignored any other hunters he came across. None of them really approached him though so he was grateful for that at least. He opened the tent with his hand, pushing back the fabric to notice that Eton still wasn't back from wherever it was he had gone. Axel just decided then that he'd camp out on the floor of the tent. He didn't feel like using his sleeping bag again. So he laid down with his arm under his head and thought about what a weird day it'd been. He'd nearly gotten killed, kissed a girl, preformed CPR while crying, and broken his ankle only to have it fixed by a random angel. Definitely weird. It didn't take long for him to go tired of these weird thoughts and slip into a deep, dreamless sleep.((*Takes out black and white director's thingamajig that I can't remember the name of* And scene! Now what? ))

Samael frowned, sitting up. He decided he may as well talk to an Angel. It would have to be mentioned soon, before anything more came out of it.
He made it out into the cool night, a light breeze ruffling his hair. Lae stood solemnly beside the door, turning her head at Sam's presence.
"What did the boy want? The one who prayed to us?" She asked, green eyes curious.
"It was one of those damned demons. They killed him, Lae. Tortured him to death." Samael ran a hand through his hair.
Lae stood solemnly, and looked deep in thought. "We'll have to tell the other hunters to stick together from now on. And not to go onto school grounds." But that wasn't what was bothering Sam.
"He prayed to me, Lae. I was the only angel available. I should have gotten there in time to save him, but...." He cringed slightly, remembering the state of the two bodies.

By the time Orianna climbed up the two sets of stairs, she was exhausted. However, unless you really knew her, it wouldn't have shown. On the outside, she looked beyond happy, which in some ways she was. She'd just helped out another person that she didn't know and that made her feel really good about herself, but she was still feeling a little conflicted on what she was doing. Orianna felt awful for even having any doubts but she did. She tried to clear them when she stepped into the tent where Ash was, as if he could read her mind and know what she was thinking, but she couldn't. It was like they were stuck there. Because of this, she laid awake for a lot longer than she should have just thinking. After a long restless hour, her eyes finally began to flutter shut as she drifted off into a sleep plagued by nightmares.
Ingrid put her bag in the passenger seat of her car and drove off. She was headed who knows were, just away from the school, far away. (I roll not be using this character anymore and will be deleting her character sheet.)
Ash, hearing Orianna rustle in her sleeping bag, tossing and turning slightly. He frowned, wondering how long he had been asleep and when she came in. His eyes scanned the tent to find that Sam was nowhere to be seen. He sat up, brushing his jaw as he did, trying to wake himself up. He exited the tent, careful not to wake the sleeping girl.
He stood outside the tent. The air was cold, and he did nothing to protect himself from it. He stood there, for a while, staring blankly at nothing in particular.
Lae didn't comment, instead she pursed her lips slightly, staring at her brother with dead eyes. After a moment, she finally spoke.
"He was a human, Samael. Thousands die every day. You must not start getting attached to them. They live, and they die. Hardly any make an impact on the world, so why even care?"
Samael opened his mouth to speak, but Lae had fluttered away, he presumed to Heaven to check in. He looked around briefly, liking the cool air on his neck. He did feel a bit better after her words. He shouldn't care. It was the boys fault for going out there on his own anyways.

"I'm afraid to report that Eton and his dog have died. A demon killed the both of them. He had prayed to us to save him during the torturing sequence, but none of us could come in time." He said, sadness evident in his voice, though not on his face.
"His death shall be the first of many casualties during this time period. I would go so far as to get used to this sort of thing happening." He lowered his eyes, looking towards the ground.
"I would prefer it if we did not inform many people of this. He wasn't close to anyone, and had no friends. There is no need to announce a death of a single hunter to this large of a group; it'll only rile them up more." He advised, blue eyes fierce.

When Axel awoke in the morning, he was in the weirdest position imaginable. Instead of waking up with his back to the ground, he was on his stomach, his cheek pressed against the floor of the tent and his arms spread out. Once he had fully woken up, he flipped over and sat up straight. No one saw that, right? He thought, stretching out his senses. But there wasn't anyone in the tent with him, so he slumped back down. A groan escaped him as he lifted his hand to brush it against his jaw. Sleep was still eating at his consciousness. But even so, he knew it was time he got up. Opening the tent flap, he stepped out and slumped over like usual, running a hand through his hair. Needless to say, he was exhausted. Hopefully nothing really eventful happened today.

Vienna pulled on a pair of tracksuit shorts that were made of that airy material designed to soak up prespiration. They were white, tip-ex white. She clipped on her undergarmet and slipped on a black t-shirt. Once a goth, some tastes remain. She crawled out of her tent and crept down to brush her teeth.
Later, after finishing brushing her teeth, Vienna ran back up the stairs. She needed to grab something to eat. She saluted to two hunters who winked at her and made her way back to the tent. Was Axehead awake yet? She might ask him to go grab something with her.
Rubbing his eyes to blink out some sleep, Axel started to walk towards the stairs. Immediately he picked up Vee's presence. Memories from yesterday flooded back and he let out a sigh. He really didn't want to go through that again. Sending a prayer that she hadn't seen him, he turned on his heels and thought to himself, Nope, not today.

Axel's next few words focused on the last part of her speech; the dying part, "So does that mean you won't be able to bug me anymore?" He stuck his hands in his pockets, really not in the mood for this. Sidestepping her, he started off again, not really sure of where he was heading. He just did not want to be around people today. Even this small chat he'd just had with Vee was enough interaction with humans to last him a lifetime.

As he walked, Axel noticed her coming up beside him and stopped dead in his tracks. "No. I'm not." Once again, he was lying. And once again, it was really obvious. "So why don't you go bug someone else? Why does it have to be me?" He snapped, crossing his arms. In all actuality, there was a part of Axel that kind of liked that she was sticking to him. It sort of made him think that maybe he was important enough not to be given up on.

"No I'm not!" Axel shouted, hating that she'd ignored what he'd said, "I'm not hungry and even if I was, I wouldn't go anywhere with you of all people. I don't want to be bothered anymore, okay? I just want to be left alone so I can do what I want to do without anyone else getting in the way. So just back-" He cut off, realizing what she'd said, "Wait... what?" She liked him the... best? Axel didn't think he'd heard that right.

Axel was a little taken aback, but he tried not to let it show. "Then I'd say you're even crazier than I thought." He knew that he wasn't going to get anywhere with complaining but he could still try. He'd never been on a date before and he was actually a little worried deep down. What were you supposed to do on a date and why did she want to take him on one anyways?

Axel frowned, "This is unbelievable. You're unbelievable." He lifted his hand fiddled with his necklace out of habit. He took a deep breath before sighing, letting all the air he'd just gathered slip out. I can't believe I'm even considering this... "If I take you out to the bakery, will you stop bugging me?" Axel asked, hoping she said yes. Maybe he wanted her to agree because he wanted her to leave her alone. But it may have been for a different reason- No, Axel thought, hating that he'd even wondered about that, There is no other reason.
