Despite knowing all the things Vienna was thinking -- how he would never really get what he wanted of that it was impossible to see the person that he wanted to most -- Axel still let himself become wrapped up in the words she was using. He resisted the urge to succumb to the bleak thoughts that he was having and instead tried to focus on what she was saying. It was just... difficult. It was hard to forget that he was missing something that everyone else had and even harder to accept that he'd never get it back. It was hard to get over what Vee's friend had said to him that one day he'd never forget. Sometimes he just wished things would have turned out a little... well, better."I don't think I could get a hot blondie, Vee," Axel replied, testing out the joking manner with which she spoke. It was odd and foreign on his tongue, but he figured it was still worth a shot. If anything, he hoped it would at least take away from a bit of what he'd said. "I think you're stuck with me." As she leaned up to kiss his cheek and wrap her arms around him, Axel really hoped that was true. Stuck with each other -- that was definitely something he was content with. "Mexico..." Though it was a name that wouldn't have met much to anyone else, it meant a lot to the two of them. "I promise that after everything is over with, I'm taking you to Mexico. I swear on it."
No title
Vienna never suspected Love's words to have cut so deep. She thought Axel would have long forgotten. She would never know but she could see the gloom in those masked red eyes. Axel just has to live with not seeing the Oscar Award winning acting, the dazzling grin, the creative and colourful thoughts and style, the pretty face and the figure. Yes, the figure is important. Vee felt the need to push aside the topic of his blindness.
"Are you sure? The blondes might match you better!" she chuckled.
Axel was making quite an effort at the challenge of joking. She grinned at him, a flash of white teeth and raised an eyebrow.
"Well, might as well be stuck with you," she sighed dramatically with a mocking pout as she played with his hair.
At the mention of taking her to Mexico, Vienna pressed her body to his and grinned even wider.
"Well, you kind of have to," she murmured with a wink.
And then she had to make a promise.
"Well, I promise to..." she started, deep in thought. She was about to say something like "To go with you to Mexico after this is all over" but she decided to be serious about this.
"I promise to just be with you when this is all over," Vee finished with a loving smile.
What did that sentence even mean? It sounded like a suggestion to marriage. Hopefully, Axel will think outsidevthe box but not that far out. Was it love bites and moments every night she was suggesting? Only partially. She just wanted to, well, be with Axel as she said.
Suddenly, a strange thought shimmied into Vienna Longstone's mind.
"We should try dating," she stated.
Of course they have had a breakfast 'date' while not admitting to romantic feelings and a stroll before but...
Not now, maybe not now but what about later? Yes, it was crazy, it was completely ludacris. It was evident Axel was no romantic, dating type of man. He probably didn't even know how to give a love bite. But he was Axel and what else would you expect.
Though it may be hard to become accustomed to never experiencing such things again after a party induced teenage hood. No more of that. She has committed truly this time with a man who cannot do all that. And eventually, it'll work.

Axel didn't think that he would ever forget. It was impossible to forget something like that. Something that hit the core of your insecurities and rushed through your every thought like a bullet wasn't something that could just be hidden with some treatment and a smile. It cut deeper and would last a more bitter wound than the either of them would really like to have. But Axel didn't know how to get rid of it. He supposed that he was stuck with that memory for as long as he was living. The only thing was that he didn't really know who to blame for it. The logical conclusion that he should have come to was Love. She was the one that had made the remark in the first place, resurfacing the problem that had been weighing him down for a long while now. Only, that was the real issue. That wound had been there for a long time but with each dig and scratch that someone made against his defenses, the more severe it grew, right up to the point of infection. Now it seemed that it had reached that limit. Axel just didn't know how to cure it. It was just for the moment that Vienna seemed to be the closest to healing it.
Smiling at her words, Axel wondered how it was possible that someone like her could put up with him. On all accounts, she could have really had someone better if she wanted. Raking his thoughts, Axel didn't really know why she thought it was so worthwhile to stick around him. Hell, he'd almost gotten himself killed just a little while ago. If that wasn't a reason to give up on him, Axel didn't know what was. Maybe she was actually dedicated to all this, he thought for a moment before brushing it off as illogical. That wouldn't have made sense. There wasn't really anything to be committed to. And yet, she was still standing in front of him, her fingers in his hair and her body against his. And it was only a moment after all this registered that he heard her promise to be with him. Maybe there was something there to hang on to after all.
"Yeah," Axel answered, nodding his head. "Yeah, okay." Dating. He could do dating, right? Most normal people did that kind of stuff, yeah? They went out with each other and ate dinner and
((Jenny! I've gone crazy! I'm starting to imagine them married and what their kids would look like! XD Aaah!))
Vienna couldn't help but ponder on the fact Axel seemed hurt when the topic of him not seeing her is brought up. Maybe it was Love. But no, they can't kill her now! Vee needed a shower. But maybe, when the right time comes, Love could be killed. The question was, despite her disliking the girl, would she be able to do it? To kill her? Love had openly insulted Axel but the reason behind it was wanting the best for Vee. It was complicated. But, if Axel decided to kill her, Vee would deny any involvement in the slaughter. It would always be Axel's side. That'll always be her choice, no matter what situation they were in. Even if it involves life or death. She'll trust Axel.
Vienna grinned happily at Axel. He had just agreed to the most normal relationship activity; Dating. But Vee really wasn't the expert at that. She went on highschool dating where she was basically asked to a shopping center. Then, she had partying dates then very few dinner dates. Sometimes it was simply a fast food restaurant. Vee usually had random make-out sessions with guys, strangers or not then declined the sexual requests. But how the hell will she and Axel date?
"Maybe when the chaos settles?" she suggested, 'chaos' meaning the constant fights and planning as well as the slaughtering every few minutes.
But, thinking about when the chaos ends, what will happen then. What will they do? Would they adjust to a normal lifestyle with a normal job? But...how? Vienna was missing the last years of secondary school. Will she ever go to university? And there's that big question...
It was possible that they'd move to opposite sides of the world or find someone else. It may seem impossible now but...later? Later it might all change.
Vienna may be starting to like being a huntress. She didn't like the thought of growing old and looking back remembering all this as history. She didn't want to be there with the grandchildren of another man, notAxel, telling stories of these days with "I remember that boy, I loved him,".
She wanted to keep the glossy hair, the looks and the figure. Maybe hunters will win and become famous by then. And they were lovers, Axel and Vienna. Would they get married and have children? Axel wasn't that type of man. He didn't look like he was for children. He'll be upset when he couldn't see them. Would it all change in the future was the question. They weren't normal now. Why the heck should their future be.
"So, Axel..." Vee started casually, "What do you think will happen in the future?"
She wanted Axel's thoughts on it. It would mean everything.
Then, a thought hit her. Hell, she didn't know Axel's second name.
"Axel, what's your surname?" she asked straight after the last question. Now she was throwing whatever questions that are in her head at Axel.

((Their kids would be adorkable >w< And don't worry. I do that all the time with the pairings I like.I wrote half of this and then it got deleted >:( *Rage* ))
Normal. That was kind of a funny word, wasn't it? It was conflicting and confusing, making everything a little more hectic than it had to be. Who was to say what was normal and what wasn't? Who was to say whether the two of them were normal? Compared to all the other hunters in the world, they just might be. Axel hadn't the slightest idea whether he was normal or not, unsure of whether he could ever be that way in the future as well. Wasn't he different from everyone else? Didn't he want to be? In reality, Axel didn't really think he did. What was the point in being different from the rest of the world? It might be better just to blend in and be normal. It seemed to work for everyone else thus far, so maybe it could work for him too.
Axel nodded his head. "Yeah, maybe." In the future, when the chaos settled, maybe everything would be okay. Maybe everything would work out and they could be happy just being... well, them. That could happen, right? It wasn't too far off to assume that maybe even hunters, the ones that hunted down the supernatural and lived with the blood of their fallen enemies staining there hands, could be happy. Maybe not everything would be the normal that it was supposed to be -- Axel didn't even know if it was possible for him to someday settle down and have a family -- but it might be able to be close. Not the same but close.
But Axel couldn't picture himself like that.
All those years spent by himself, wondering what would happen to him in the future didn't include a happy ending. They didn't include a girl or a family or somewhere that he could spend his days growing old. Instead, they were full of conflict and sacrifice, death and sorrow. He'd never really been much of an optimist, and you could say that he'd never been the happiest soul either. But with all the things that had gone wrong in seventeen short years, could you blame him? The only thing that he was realizing then was that he actually did have one of those things. By some miraculous stretch of the imagination, Axel had Vee. It didn't make sense and he didn't really know how it happened, but he had her. Perhaps that got him one step closer to 'normal'.
"The future?" Axel didn't really know how to answer that question, even though he could tell how much it would mean to her for him to give an answer. "I... I think everything will be okay." Did he really think that? Axel didn't know. It was more like a hope than anything, a promise that he'd try to make that happen. That was the least he could do for putting her through what he had. She deserved better than that.
"Stanger," He replied, realizing, too, that he didn't really know as much about the one in front of him as he should. He knew her story but not her full name. Kind of ironic, wasn't it?
((*a wild fox appears*))While the two lovelorn hunters thought about how maybe the future would turn out well for them a prime example that while they were hunters the future was going to be bleak was walking towards them; hands in his pockets, cowboy hat perched on his head, and a toothpick in his mouth.
Ash Wate had spent the day doing a few duties, such as cleaning and replacing his weapons. At some point he went to the club. There, had one glass of brandy to loosen himself a little. The werewolf attack back at the Freedom Restaurant had him tense for the whole day, and by that point he was sick of it. The drink did its duty; he felt his mind and body relax. At the club he met up with a few other hunters, who were all drunker then he was. He had a particularly good time with a small blonde and a lanky guy. In fact he had just waved them off as they left his tent, their faces red with shame of what they had done and their shirts on the wrong way around. “You take care now!” he called to them, smirking as they went.
After that he dressed himself in new clothes and went out for a walk. He was just pondering about nothing specific nor interesting. Nothing stuck his interests, nothing caught his eyes – that is, until he saw Mr. Sightless himself, also known as Axel. And do you know who he was with?! You guessed it; that wacko chick of his. He rolled his eyes. Oh God, will they ever just go away? He could practically smell their disgusting, angst riddled romance. But then another thing captured his attentions. To his surprise, Orianna was there. She stood a little far off the couple, looking a little uncomfortable as she watched them. She looked a little dishevelled, but that was to be expected after the morning she had. Her hair knotted, her face weary, and...
Blood coated her hands.
Hold on here, he thought to himself. He looked around to see blood covering the ground. It was all over Axel and Vienna, too. He chuckled to himself. Shit just got interesting.
Ash’s hand reached to his lips, catching the toothpick in-between his figures and flicked it to the ground. “Well, well, well,” he said, sauntering up to the three. He gave a nod to the Nehalem. “Glad you found your way back. I was sure you were eaten by that friendly werewolf. I was even preparing my ‘She Ran Away’ speech for Sam.” He then turned to Axel and Vienna. His lips stretched into a wicked smile. “Ah Axel. Didn’t I tell you had to use a tampon when you had yer periods? Look at this mess.” The hunter gestured to the blood. He shook his head and tutted.
((They'll be Shirley Temple cute!!!!!
Oh, this post has reference to Vee's new history!!!))
She had once been normal, Vee, I mean. Well, abnormal in the world of normal. No one else in her school had a dad who worked as a drugdealer and a business man and a mum as a model. Not everyone else had a huge house that was close to a mansion in a modern style. Oh yeah, Vee was a drug addict, if you were wondering. She had this unhealthy group of friends and together, they partied, drank, smoked and did drugs. Vee was the one to steal them from her dad's warehouse. No one else apart from Vee knew it was her dad's. And later, her parents found out the cause to her unusual behavior. She was sent to rehab. In the end, she came clean of everything. Except for a drink now and then, of course.
That would all be counted as pretty normal compared to what she was doing now.
She only came here about 5 months ago and now, she was in love with a blind boy who slaughtered Supernaturals with her.
Could she go back to that normal lifestyle?
Vienna cracked another grin at Axel.
"Well, I'm already getting hot thinking about you in a suit," she teased flirtatiously before giving him a wink with matched intentions, tilting her head to the side. For that extra effect, she bit her bottom lip suggestively.
Might as well treat Axel like he could see. Or maybe he can sense her every movement
Was she really getting hot thinking about that, you ask? Boy, yes she was. Let's pretend we don't know that.
"Okay," Vienna murmured, Axel's reassurance not sounding so assuring.
She was still a girl. She had to worry about if she ever gets to wear a wedding dress. What would happen? If hunters win the war, maybe they would all get rich and run off having families. Wouldn't that be lovely? But then, some hunters wouldn't be very...accustomed to that lifestyle. 'Some hunters' meaning Axel.
But she was hoping Axel would make an effort to make something happen. Maybe she could weave her way into a more normal lifestyle.
"Stranger," she repeated, letting the name roll off her tongue smoothly, "Stranger..."
Vienna Irene Longwood Stranger?
Vienna Irene Stranger?
Vienna Stranger?
Mrs. Stranger?
No, she was not just thinking that.
"Sort o' suits you, you know?" she chuckled.
Well, if they were ever getting married, she'd have to take it, right?
"Longwood," she stated, matter of factly, "Vienna Irene Longwood."
Longwood...How...normal.
Her mother was of Russian descent. She wanted the second name of her child to be in some way Russian. Irena was Russian but she didn't want her child's name to be rhyming in such a comical way. So, Irene it was though it was originally Greek.
According to Vienna, they could live on forever without knowing a first name. The story of now was what was important.
But she could only fully imagine her fantasies knowing Axel's last name, so...
Not that the fantasies were concerning marriage or something...
Once a child, always a child.
She didn't notice the movement of another hunter approaching them, too immersed in her thoughts and Axel to. But then, he spoke and she swiftly turned her head with wide eyes. Should she jump away? Should she stay like that? What should she do? Well, she'll wait for Axel's reaction, of course.
Chick? Damn right. A model for a mother and a looker for a father. You do the math.
Her eyes landed on Orianna and her heart dropped in shame. She had completely forgotten about the friend who helped her most. Look at that, such a good friend she was. If you haven't figured, that sentence was sarcasm induced. She metally smacked herself before looking at Orianna with apologies laced into her expression, waiting to see if she had minded.
She averted her gaze to Ash and looked him down with a glare for ruining the moment.
But then, at his comment, she smirked with amusement.
"Oh, but you're the gay one here!" she cooed with a open mouthed crooked smile, "And who's Sam? You're boyfriend?"
She snapped her teeth together in a wicked grin, laced with amusement like hints of filigri.
"Oh, my! Being gay gives you periods? And I thought I was the only one with periods here! Thanks for making me feel less left out, motherfucker!"
Well, there goes the resolution for a less colourful vocabulary. Admit it, you were expecting a curse.

((Ouch! Those comments had to hurt. I'll let Jenny comment first and then I'll reply in the morning. I want to sleep.))
Axel had never really been 'normal'. One could argue that his childhood had been the standard, growing up with a mother, father, and sister that were all stable. However, that was certainly debatable from the moment that things turned into a massacre. Then it had all gone downhill from there. What Axel's life didn't have in it, though, was all the things that Vee's had. Though maybe he didn't know all the backstory she had to offer, he was quite aware that each of them had grown up different than the other. That was just a given. By some miracle, Vienna managed to make Axel smile. The words that she'd used on him in a suit had resulted in a grin from the usually solemn boy. It was kind of funny how she could manage to bring out a side to him that he hadn't known to even exist. Before all of this, he hadn't imagined that he could be happy again. It all seemed like some far off dream. Vee, though, helped him get those things back -- the best of things.
Another of the best things about her was the fact that she treated him like he was normal. There was no pity or sadness that was hidden behind her words at the mention of his disability. There was no treating him like a child, and Asher was more grateful for that than anything in the entire world. "You have a funny sense of humor," Axel spoke in response to her suit comment, employing his own dark wit in that moment. He could tell what little quirks she put into her words, the way that she tilted her head and bit her lip. Being able to tell what she was doing wasn't the same as seeing -- not at all -- but at least it was something, and that was better than nothing at all.
It was especially helpful when telling when nosy sons of bitches were going to pop up.
Axel sensed the other hunter's presence just before Vee had, but he hadn't reacted until he spoke, understanding that this was something a little more serious than he'd initially hoped. This was Ash; the chances of him just ignoring them were bar none. Of course.
Immediately, though he regretted the movement a moment later, Axel stepped back. He was running on auto-pilot by this point, and he only stopped to think about what his sudden motion could mean to Vienna when he conjured up a reply to the werewolf slayer. He just prayed that Vee didn't take it the wrong way.
He'd just opened his mouth to spit out some cruel remark when her voice cut through the clear, blocking whatever it was he was about to say. Not that Axel really minded. If she wanted to take this one, he would let her. And, damn, did she have it under control. In fact, she had it under such control that yet another smile was produced from the unseeing boy. It seemed he was doing that a lot more, ay? Whether that was a good thing or not, well, everyone would just have to see.
Orianna, on the other hand, was not smiling. Her lips were pulled into a frown as Ash addressed her, eyes pointed to the ground. There was guilt swimming within her, even though Ash couldn't possibly know of what she'd done over the past few days. She'd done it again -- she'd seen Henry. She could only imagine the backlash she would get from that. Just remembering the conversation they'd had in his tent the other day, Orianna fretted over the idea of telling one of the only friends she had in this operation. If she lost Ash, then what? Sam would surely follow and then she would have no one. Henry had said that he was her friend, but that was a whole other story. Friends didn't fight against what you were fighting for.
Still though, as Ash let lose every little remark he could think of, Orianna couldn't find herself able to meet the hunter's gaze. She knew that the moment she did, her emotions would flood into her features. If there was one thing she didn't need, it was that. However, there was something that she had to tell him, and Orianna knew it.
Back at the ruins, the man that she had fought against had warned her, telling her the fate of the hunters. Brainwashed, he'd said. Some of them were under someone's control and she needed to let everyone here know that. The only thing she had to watch for was that she told the right people, and in her mind, that was Ash and Sam. She had to tell them as soon as possible.
"Ash, I need to tell you something," Orianna started, though judging by the quietness of her voice and the way things looked to be headed now, this would take a lot more than that.
Has Ash ever been normal? Are you serious? He was born into a family of werewolves. His older brothers and sisters were fully trained supernatural killers, as was his parents and uncles and aunts and everyone else in his life. Hell, even his grandparents could kick ass. Not only were his family hunters, but also drug dealers, smugglers, and had many connections to gangs and the black-market. His girlfriend was a street boxer, and had killed more supernaturals then he even thought imaginable. He had slaughtered his first werewolf when he was eleven years old. His whole life revolved around guns, drugs, supernaturals, and death. And you honestly think he was – even for one moment – normal? Fuck off.
Ash’s attentions turned to Axel’s whacko girlfriend, Vienna. She had been snuggling up to her companion, the dreamy look on her face making him want to throw up. But now her face was a giant smirk as she threw her ‘insults’, and Axel had taken a step away from her. Trouble in paradise, he thought to himself, barley taking in what she was saying. He did, however, hear a few words that suggested she was insulting his sexuality. How original. Her words were nothing to cry over, so he replied nonchalantly, “Bi, darling, not gay. Here’s a tip on telling the difference; we’re the people who have awesome sex.”
Now, Ash had always been a liar. But what he said the complete and utter truth.
His gaze dropped down to the blood on the ground before flitting up to Orianna. She said to him she needed to tell him something. Interests peeked, he nodded. He wanted to know the story about the blood; it looked as though they all slaughtered a giant pig. “Private or open?” he said, his head inclining to the two before them.
((Blaa. I can't write today.))
"You betcha!" chuckled Vienna with a grin and a wink in reply to Axel.
Sure making him smile was her job, wasn't it?
And then he stepped back. Vienna didn't know why she found herself so let down. She ought to have been expecting that, right? Or maybe she thought Axel thought differently now, maybe he didn't care so much no more. Apparantly not. Vienna couldn't have guessed why Axel would do that because Ash approached them. Afterall, she didn't really know Ash.
But without thinking for reaoning and trying to build false hope again, she cast her eyes to the ground, dropping her hands to her sides. Nope, she won't look at him. Nope she won't.
At Ash's reply, she rolled her eyes exhasperatedly. They always say that. And she always says the same words back.It wasn't even a contradict!
"Same thing," she mumbled.
She scoffed at the 'darling'.
"Fucking with the bi girls, huh? Best to stay with your own kind. What else? Ass fucking with the guys? How interesting," she sighed nochalantly with an arched eyebrow, " I'm a real girl, I have a vagina...you don't fuck with us!"
After that, he presented him her third finger and turned on her heel to walk away.
((As explained, I can not write today. At all.))

Yeah, Axel had thought differently of himself too, but apparently everything was not actually going in his favor for once like he'd thought it had been just a moment ago. Of course things couldn't stay happy just for a little longer. That always seemed to be impossible, didn't it?Giving a small huff to himself at the thoughts that plagued him, Axel only listened in to the conversation - or maybe you could call it bickering - that was taking place between Vee and Ash. It was pretty obvious who he thought should be the winner in this little debate. To him, Ash was the biggest idiot here. An annoyance to everyone around him, it was surprising how Ash even had friends, especially ones like the little angel that seemed to be everyone's seeing eye-dog. Did she tire of committing to everything people told her to do?
Apparently not, for just a second later, the girl spoke up to Ash once more, only confirming the thoughts Axel had of her. The people in this place were unbelievably predictable, he thought, turning his back on the two to follow after Vienna. They all followed blindly. Pun intended.
Orianna didn't even notice the bad mood that was wafting off Vienna and her boyfriend. All she got was the urge to speak to Ash whenever possible. And they needed to do it alone. "Private," Orianna stated, not following his gaze. They were leaving; she could tell at least that. Still though, whether even this was considered private enough, she wasn't sure. How many angels would believe the little Nephilim girl when she cried wolf? Orianna didn't think it would be many.
Vienna kept walking briskly to the secluded stairs, sensing Axel following her. She kept her head down, not looking back until she was sure they were alone. Suddenly, she swirled around on her heels.
"Look, I don't get this, I don't get you, I don't get your intentions, I don't get anything," she sighed, running stressful hand through her hair.
It was her little confession.
"I mean, you make me assume things and then you suddenly confuse me and I don't know what's happening."
She didn't know what was happening. Everything was so confusing. One minute, Axel acts as if he doesn't care if the whole world knows about their relationship and next thing, he steps away like they were caught doing a serious crime.
"I don't know what I'm doing right...What I'm doing wrong...What I should do...What I shouldn't do- you get what I mean?" she explained with a shrug and blue orbs focused into his blind ones intensely.
She wanted everything to be okay, she wasn't intending to start any arguments or anything. She just couldn't handle so much.
"Can you explain to me all that? I'll listen and do whatever, I swear."
No, she might retort but saying that migh'vet been the only way to get him to talk about it.
Vienna just wanted them to be happy in any way possible. She also wanted to be on track, not being the lost puppy.
"I don't know what the fuck to do!" she mumbled, "Tell me, Axel, what're the right things to do? What're the wrong things to do?"
She was afraid of going back to a point where there was no one to tell her 'no' and no one to tell her what to do and guide her in the right direction. She was terrified of that. The last time, she went on to doing stupid things just to have someone tell her no. And finally they did, but reformatory went with it. It wasn't a bad and tough one like the other reformatories, it was voluntary, if a parent wanted to send their kids there to fix a habit, they would. But to Vienna, it was horrible though it was nice to be told 'no' every day for once.

But to Vienna, it was horrible though it was nice to be told 'no' every day for once.
Axel stopped dead in his tracks the moment that Vienna turned around, his unseeing eyes staring straight ahead. At first, he didn't really understand what she was referencing, having thought that everything was going okay. But then he seemed to comprehend. She was talking about how he'd stepped back, wasn't she? He guessed he should have known better than to think that nothing would come of it.Shaking his head, Axel tried his hardest to listen through all she was saying, but by the end of it, he couldn't help but interrupt her last sentence: "Vee, no, you're not doing anything wrong." But even with the finishing of these words, he still didn't know how to leave it at that, "I just..."
What was he supposed to say? That he didn't know what he was doing? That he didn't know how to deal with any of this? Axel didn't know. He truly didn't.
It wasn't often that someone actually cared about what he thought. Most of the time, Axel walked around with an attitude that said that he didn't have a care in the world about what others thought, and most people seemed to reciprocate that. After all, why would anyone care when he made it so obvious that he didn't? But now, Vienna was here asking him what to do, asking him what he thought she should do. Axel didn't want to tell her what to do, though. He didn't even know the answers to these things. How was he supposed to answer when he had no clue?
"I just don't know what I'm doing." After the words slipped out of his mouth, he realized that they were the truth. He thought that she was doing fine, that she was the one holding this together. He, on the other hand, was only screwing it up time and time again. He just didn't really realize all that until now. "It's not your fault that this keeps happening, okay? I swear that it's not." He let his voice lower a bit, repeating the same thing as he shook his head, "It's not."
Letting go and coughing awkwardly because of invaded privacy would have been okay to Vienna. I mean, no one wants to be snuggling with their girlfriend while speaking to someone. But stepping back to keep a distance like this was a disgusting crime? That wasn't okay. That was hurtful and Vienna felt hurt.
When Axel told her she wasn't doing anything wrong, she was pretty surprised. Why didn't he complain that she had them being too touchy?
"I'm not?" she repeated incredulously, "Then what is it? Is there something wrong with me?"
She hated this, both of them stressing out.
Axel didn't want to tell her what to do. That's probably because he has no idea about where she landed last time no one told her what to do.
That was a pretty big secret to keep from him. He was her boyfriend. She had sex with him. He had every right to know his girlfriend landed her idiotic sexy ass in a reformatary. She'll tell him later. But when was 'later'? Truthfully, she couldn't bring herself to tell him such a thing. How she weakly gave herself up to all those things.
"Mother of fuck," Vienna whispered, "Axel, I'm begging you to tell me what to do, I'm begging you!"
Axel wasn't the person who would screw up, she was screw up material. She was terrified of what will happen this time. Maybe not reformatary but there are things just as bad.
"Why won't anyone I love tell me what to do?"
She was broken, Vienna. She was so broken and terrified of herself. She needed Axel to save her from herself. Now he was here telling her he didn't know what he was doing. She needed him strong and she needed him to make decisions. He was meant to be the man in this afterall. Her parents never did anything. In the end, they never said "No" to her.
"I don't trust myself and I never will again," she added hoarsely.
'Again' was the key word there. 'Again' was the word to ponder about. 'Again' was not a safe word.
She should have never let that word slip.

It took Axel a little while to come to the conclusion that he needed to. He understood now that she wanted him to tell her what to do, but he still didn't have an answer, and it wasn't until she spoke that last word that he formulated one. Again. He didn't know what it meant or what had happened in the past, but he made it up in his mind that he had to figure it out. He had to make up what he wanted her to do just so he could deceiver what she was talking about. It just... it just hurt a bit that she was obviously keeping something from him.Everything -- Axel had told her everything. That one day when they had gone to the academy, even in the middle of this godforsaken war, he had spared no expense in telling her every little detail about his life. He hadn't held back on his parents' death and he hadn't even stopped himself from saying everything about his little condition. All that he had ever had in this life had been laid out on the table for her to take, and he felt like she had. It was only until now that he realized it hadn't been the most fair of exchanges. While maybe he might have spilled his guts, she hadn't. Not entirely. There were slivers missing, almost like a puzzle that was yet to be finished. How he hadn't found that missing piece, Axel didn't know. It must have just slipped through his fingertips.
"You want me to tell you what to do?" He asked, not really giving enough time in between the question and his next words for her to even give an answer. "Fine. Tell me what happened. I know something did, Vee, and you're not telling me." He shrugged his shoulders a bit in a surprisingly nonchalant way. But even despite this movement, he could feel the anger rising in his chest. Hell, it was always there, but it was always worse when he couldn't help but let it go. When he really felt like he had something to be angry about. Yeah, he'd done wrong. He'd stepped back when he shouldn't have, but he was hardly thinking about that. Instead, he was thinking of how he felt about her little secrets. Axel hated them, and he wondered if they were even going to dissolve like he wanted them to. Maybe this would keep building and all the secrets would keep rising up, threatening to throw this entire thing overboard. He wouldn't have put it past either of them.
((Helen! How dare you! XD))
When Axel finally told her what to do, she paled. All the colour drained from her face, her hands began to tremble and she became stiff, all over. Was she ready to talk about this? At the end, Axel might never touch her again, never kiss her, never look at her the same. He'll think her diseased, disgusting and might even suspect her to have never changed. Vienna was preparing to say how she wasn't going to tell him but that had to be rethought. Axel had the right. He was the only person who had the right to know. The only person and not telling him? That might end up in her losing him. She had to trust him. If he leaves her, it'll be her fault. She should never have done such things. She stared at Axel for a bit longer. He was acting nochalant but she could see he was angry. He had to be angry. He spilled his deepest, darkest secrets to her, putting his life in her hands. He trusted her. She had to do this. It was now or never. Slowly, she turned around and sat herself on a step, burrying her face in her hands before removing her hands and peeking over her shoulder at Axel. How was she going to start this?
"Fine. But, Axel...you are going to look at me so so differently after this...I'm not in control, I'm not strong, I'm not- perfect as so many suppose," she mumbles, preparing herself for a confession to her boyfriend.
"My parents were rich, not normal rich, over the top rich as if they win the lottery every day," she started, "My mum was a model and my dad...he was a businessman...and a drug dealer. They spoiled me, to the pits of hell. I was allowed to do everything."
Vienna, he doesn't need the lifestory, get to the point. She was procrastinating. Maybe she could talk about the weather there? No. She had to tell him.
"They never said 'No' to me and I got to so many extremes to try and get one 'No, Vienna.' I never got one. I was always told to 'follow my instincts' or whatever. No one told me what to do and what not to do. I was so...misguided.
"I was such an idiot. Later on, I started hanging out with the wrong crowd. People called me a prostitute, they spread these weird rumours and all but they never ever understood why I was doing everything. So, amongst temptations, I started drinking, smoking. I wasn't made an alcoholic, I drank to become one. I smoked alot. My parents didn't say it. They blamed it on themselves and apologised to me for...for never warning me about hangovers. That was completely insane. All I wanted were restrictions. That's all I wanted. Restrictions. For once in my life, I didn't want to feel so aimless, clueless...
"And then, we started stealing from my dad's warehouse. Drugs. I wasn't clean. I was actually on drugs. You probably want to leave me now. Just thinking of landing with a former drug addict. I went home everyday...whatever you want to call it...'high' or something, My parents, they never took notice of me, never looked into the cause of my unusual behaviour. They thought I was happy. I had everything any other girl wanted. They had everything I ever wanted. A caring family and restrictions. I loved everything I had, laptops and a huge house but I wanted way more than that.
"And then one day, I overdosed. Sent to hospital and all. I was near death. I didn't know what was happening, completely blacked out, I was so so terrified. So terrified. They were wheeling me to places, that's all I knew. But luckily, I was...revived! My parents found out about the drugs and guess what they did? They fucking blamed themselves and fucking apologised to me like idiots. Then, the hypocrytes said they were sending me off to some voluntary reform place thing because 'they couldn't control me'. They hadn't even tried. The bastards hadn't even tried! They sent me off.
"It was so horrible at that reform place but I didn't want to go home. I felt so sick and wrong. It was refreshing to have these strangers tell me "No" every few minutes. But they were strangers, they didn't love me and I didn't love them. I had to stand up at a table and openly declare to be...what I was and everything. It was terrifying. We had to make a speech of everything we did wrong, attend these 'How to be a debutante' lessons, we were treated so bad. They didn't comfort you to stop, they scared you, made you imagine terrifying things...made you have nightmares and put you on electric chairs. It was as if we were at a mental institution. I was so terrified, Axel, you couldn't even imagine...
"And the day I came home? I hated my parents so much. I left the house in search of my friends to complain. But only a while after did I notice 5 missed calls. They were trying to contact me when they were being slaughtered. They were calling for my help..."
Then Vienna broke down, broke down real hard.
"I didn't pick up...and it was too late."
All the while, she was staring emptily ahead, letting the terrifying images roll over and over in her head. She was internally shrieking with the pain.
But suddenly, she whispered, begged; "Please don't leave me, Axel, please don't leave me."

All the while, she was staring emptily ahead, letting the terrifying images roll over and over in her head. She was internally shrieking with the pain.
But suddenly, she whispered, begged; "Please don't leave me, Axel, please don't leave me."
There are some stories in this life that are a little hard to digest. They're the ones that no one wants to tell, and the ones that are often lost in the swell and tumult of life. Axel had before now thought that his was one of those. He'd thought that he had it difficult and that there was nothing in this life that could match up to the horror that he had faced. But as Vienna spilled her story to him, Axel realized that he was selfish in thinking that. He realized that he was wrong. Though there were definitely parts of his life that he didn't think he'd ever be able to deal with, he was starting to understand that horrible things happened to the best of people. Most of the people that went through these things didn't deserve any of it, Vienna especially. She deserved all the happiness that anyone could ever give her, and for some reason, she'd chosen that person to be him. So Axel was going to do his job.
As she spoke, he didn't let what she was telling him faze any of the feelings he already had for her. So what if she'd gone through things like that, an overdose, a reformatory? It didn't change what she meant to him. She was still Vienna. She was still the girl that had fought with him over the bathroom, still the girl that had taken him out to get a new pair of clothes; she was still the girl that accepted him when he was drunk and when he didn't know where to turn. No amount of rehab or traumatizing experiences could change that for him, no matter how much Axel scolded himself for thinking that. Since when did he gain so much sentimental value?
The moment that she was finished, Axel was by her side, sitting there along with her. She'd comforted him when he didn't know what to do, so he was going to do the same. If she was going to be there for him then it was only right that he do that for her. Vienna only deserved it.
Hardly thinking about it, Axel had his arm around her before he could say anything at all, and was pulling her into him through the midst of her break down. "It's okay." He tried to make his tone as soothing as possible, but knowing him, that was easier said than done. Axel had never really been the most comforting person in the world. But, hey, at least he wasn't telling her to suck it up like he would have to any other person that would have come to him with this information. This was Vienna, and that made everything different. That made everything a little more difficult to shut out.
"Vee, it's okay. I won't leave you." Axel nodded his head, mentally confirming his own words, "I promise I won't."
But could he really promise that he would always be there? Hunters died every day on the battle field, a million lives were lost every single second. Who was to say that wouldn't happen to him, and what would she do if he did end up like that? Would she find another shoulder to cry on or would it hit her harder than that? Just thinking about it, Axel wondered how it was that that could be possible. How could someone care that much about another person? It had always seemed like an impossible feat to him -- to like someone so much that you would be willing to give up your life for them, especially when they weren't related to you -- but Axel figured that it was true.
After all, he would do that for her.
When both The horrible truth was; Axel and Vienna were the closest things he could call friends.
And they thought he was the biggest asshole around.
His lips returning to their permanent smirk, he fixed his hat on his head and turned back to the little half-angel. No one was around, and he was sure the two he met earlier left a few things back in the tent, so he thought it best to get whatever she wanted to talk about over with. He crossed his thick arms around his broad chest. “Come on,” he said. “What’s wrong with ya?”
