message 451: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Though she was still a little bit uneasy about her words, Orianna nodded, a soft sigh releasing her pursed lips. "Alright." She said quietly, thinking of something suddenly. Her eyes trailed the girl for a moment, watching her for any movements. How many supernaturals had she killed? That was exactly where Orianna's mind had gone. It seemed to be a recurring theme for every hunter that she met. The ones over there by the wall: how many had they murdered? The hunters wandering around and joking with one another: how many times had their weapons decapitated one of her past classmates? These thoughts formed a lump in her throat. Eyes moving back to Esmae, Orianna tried to smile but it didn't exactly work. "How long have you... have you been living this way?"

message 452: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) The girl seemed very uneasy and Esmae put up her guard "Since I was six so about 9 years now," she said simply. Orianna's behavior put her on edge. What did she know that she wasn't letting on. She tried to read her deciding whether or not to tell her that she like supernatural it was just demons she had a thing against.

message 453: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Trying to hide her uneasiness, Orianna succeeded in a grin and replied in a more confident tone. "Wow. That's a really long time." She twirled a piece of her light, white pigmented hair. "So you're fifteen then, right? I'm sixteen." She thought it may have been a little weird to be talking about age, but Orianna didn't mind too much. She was just trying to make conversation.

message 454: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) Orianna seemed less uneasy but Esmae was still cautious. "Yah I guess it is but I'm sure others have been doing it since they were born, practically," she mused. "Anyway that's umm...cool. I guess your of legal driving age. Wait do angels drive?" She asked curious. Her father's journals had never said anything about driving, but it's always possible.

message 455: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna nodded her head to the idea of hunting for one's entire life. She supposed that in that scenario, the person wouldn't know whether they were doing wrong or right. In fact, Orianna didn't know whether she was doing right or wrong. Lately it seemed that she just couldn't decide. The world was tumbling down around her and she didn't know what pieces to pick up and which to leave laying on the ground. However, though she was confused with everything, Orianna gave a small laugh, "Well, I don't. I mean, I don't even know how to drive. I was going to learn but, I don't know, I just never did." She shrugged her shoulders slightly.

message 456: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) "Oh," was all Esmae could say. Orianna seemed deeply troubled. "Are you sure you're alright," she inquired again with a bit of concern in her voice. Orianna looked lost and unsure, how she had felt when she was younger and she wishes to console her.

message 457: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "What?" It was Orianna's turn to appear completely and utterly confused. Her stormy green eyes flickered up to Esmae's that familiar lump forming in her throat. It seemed that, lately, she was just transparent. Everyone could see that she wasn't as happy as she tried to be. "Oh, yeah. I'm fine. Just... a little confused lately is all." She shook her head, smiling sweetly, "It's nothing."

message 458: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) "Oh, ok," Esmae wasn't convinced but dropped it. Not really knowing what to say she suddenly blurted out a random question that had been floating through her mind, "What do you think about the supernatural in general?" Esmae's eyes widened for a moment before she returned to her normal casual self. Rats, she was dead. How on Earth would she be able to cover that up!

message 459: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna once again froze at the question. Everything Esmae said seemed to catch her off guard. These kinds of questions, they were the ones that Orianna wasn't very good at answering. She never knew what to say. Really, it would have been right for her to say what she thought, but those thoughts would be wrong, would they not? She wasn't supposed to defend them. That wasn't who she was anymore. She wasn't going to the school, she wasn't hanging around supernaturals, and she wasn't on their side, no matter how much she wished some of them were on hers. Taking a breath, Orianna tried to come up with a good response. "I..." She picked it up after a moment, "I think they kill thousands of humans every day. I hate them. They've hurt so many people and I intend to stop it." Looking down slightly, Orianna let out the breath she'd gathered. Those weren't her words and they weren't her thoughts. She'd stolen them right from her friend's mouth. They were just as foreign as one would expect them too and she couldn't help but feel bad about them. Really, Orianna didn't know what she was saying anymore. Anything to fit in, she supposed.

message 460: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) Esmae closed her eyes for a moment thanking the heavens that she hasn't been asked to reply. She wasn't a big fan of lying but she didn't make sure everyone knew what she thought either. When she opened her eyes she nearly chuckled at the typical response of hunters and angels. Esmae had always been told that the supernatural were bad, and though some were others didn't seem to bad according to her father's research but one needed to be open to see the other side of the story for that to happen.

message 461: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) That was exactly what Orianna was trying to avoid doing: seeing the other side of the story. It was hard for her not to, but now she understood that she couldn't afford to. Thinking like that, emphasizing with the enemy in that manner wasn't a good idea. She'd already done that too many times and it just got people hurt. It was all her fault and now she had to take responsibility for her actions. She glanced back up, a question forming on her tongue, "Why did you ask?"

message 462: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) "Oh, no reason. I was just curious," Esmae replied, still a little edgy. From what she could tell it seemed the worst of her blunder was over and it took all she had to suppress a sigh. She thought back to every hunt she had gone on by herself: it was practically all of them. She liked it better that way though, no one but herself to get hurt, no one else but her to be responsible for. She suddenly became aware of the snug, leather strap holding the cold crystal dagger to her arm beneath her jacket sleeve. It was a comforting feeling and she almost smiled, it had gotten her out of some nasty predicaments before and she couldn't imagine not wearing it now.

message 463: by Jenna ⭐ (last edited Sep 09, 2013 03:48AM) (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna nodded to this, running over several possibilities in her head. Either she'd just given the perfect response to the girl's question or she'd completely screwed it up by sounding like a cruel, conniving jerk. She really hoped it was the first, but she couldn't be sure. "Well, you... You feel the same, right?" Orianna was truly hoping she did. Or maybe not? She didn't know whether she wanted the girl to agree and not be suspicious or disagree so she knew that there wouldn't be anyone harmed. At this thought, Orianna nearly let out a groan of frustration. What was she thinking? Ash had already told her that the supernaturals killed people. It was just the hunters that made sure it didn't happen again. But then what about... Orianna made herself stop thinking and just looked to Esmae for an answer.

message 464: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) "Well that's the truth of it, right," Esmae said carefully, smirking a bit for added flare. She hoped that if the remark came off as cocky Orianna would ignore that she hadn't said a flat out yes or no. "I wouldn't fight for something that wasn't true, would you?" She asked, trying to casually get the conversation off whether or not she hated all supernatural. Hopefully she would answer and then switch the topic, even if Orianna completely avoided the question and came up with something else, Esmae wouldn't care. She just wanted to be out of the rapids and into calm waters again.

message 465: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "No." Orianna stated quickly, trying not to stutter and make things a mess. She knew she wasn't supposed to lie - she'd always told herself that was something bad people did - but Orianna couldn't help it this time around. She hated that she had too, but it was the only way she could think to get out of this. If she could have told what she was really thinking, what she was really doing, she would have. However, Orianna just didn't see that as a possibility anymore. She was lying and she knew it. She was fighting for something she didn't believe in, she was doing what she thought was wrong. It just wasn't until now that she truly saw that. However, though she may have seen this, there was nothing Orianna could do about it. She was tied into this entire thing, over and done with. There was no easy way out, no reset button. She was stuck. Swallowing, she continued on, "I wouldn't. Not at all."

((Sorry - I've been overwhelmed for the past few days.))

“Great!” Ash exclaimed, his eyes widening at the thought of a thousand angels suddenly turning up at a given moment. It did give him a little more confidence, but there was still one question; “Then why don’t you give the word and kill them all while they have no idea what’s happening?” This would have been the faster, easier choice, but somehow the hunter knew what might be coming. It’s not time. That was one of Samael’s greatest excuses.

"I cannot give a command to the entire fleet of Heaven, Ash." He rolled his eyes in a scarily human manner, before dropping them down to the ground. "Besides, it isn't time." He added quickly, looking back at his human. "We still need to train. Handling supers isn't as easy as it sounds. We try not to interfere with them, but since they've been grouped in such a large amount, along with receiving education on their powers... It puts the humans at a great risk."

((Sorry with honers homework and studding for tests I've been swamped.))

Esmae wracked her brain for another topic. What could she say? Finally it came to her, "So, what do you like to do when you get a little time to yourself? If you get any at all that is," she asked, curious. It was a bit of stretch, but it was all she could come up with and it would have to do. She was mentally beating herself up because of how much she felt she was failing at this conversation. She reached out to some one and low and behold they probably thought she was socially handicapped.

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) ((Trust me, I feel ya. I have two papers due to the same class Monday morning and I haven't even started. I'm pretty much dying of sickness too. Gosh, this sucks DX ))

It was funny, in a way, how both girls thought they were utterly murdering the conversation. While Esmae might have thought the angel may take her as socially incapable, but Orianna instead thought that of herself. She assumed that she was the one completely setting the girl off, making her words uncomfortable on her tongue. In fact, Orianna felt so awkward she hardly knew how to answer the simple question that had been brought to life. "In my free time?" She repeated, immediately regretting it. Her words were trying to tread light on the conversation but it appeared as though she were walking on broken glass. "I really love music, I suppose. I haven't in a while, but I can play the piano quite well." This, at least, was true. Orianna had always had a thing for musical aspects.

message 471: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) ((Oh no! I hope you feel better))

"That's cool!" Esmae said enthusiastically. "Is it fun to learn or just hard?" She asked. Her mother had had such a lovely voice and was apparently musically inclined but they couldn't afford a piano when Esmae was little. She almost laughed as she remembered the time when her mother told her that her parents had named her Angila after angels because when she cried it sounded more like singing. At the time Esmae had believed that this was true but now she supposed it was just another fairytale, like those that her mother had read to her before bed. She silently cursed the cruel world for having to show her that fairytales were only stories showing humans longing at a perfect life, and Esmae, like any other human, longed to believe that they really did happen 'once upon a time'.

message 472: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "Actually, it was kind of easy." Orianna answered, smiling genuinely. She found that since she'd gotten on a topic they were both seemingly interested in that she had an easier time expressing herself, "All it really takes is a big of effort and determination and, really, it's not too hard at all. It just took me a month or so and I was already playing. The trick is finding the places where your fingers can rest, almost like typing on a computer, you know? Once you get the hang on that and understand the notes, it's pretty easy. But I guess that depends on musical background though..." She drifted off before glancing up, realizing she'd been talking a mile a minute. "I'm sorry. I was rambling, wasn't I?" Orianna felt she often had a habit of doing that. She was still working on it.

message 473: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) "No, no you weren't," Esmae replied smiling genuinely, "My mom taught me a scale or two when I was younger and it would be cool to learn more about music and that sort of stuff." She, too, was glad that a topic that they were both comfortable with had been found. "So do you sing or play any other instruments as well, or is it just the piano?" Esmae asked curiously. Her mom had said something about how if you knew the piano playing other instruments and singing would be easier and more natural. Honestly she had always loved minor cords and how beautifully erie they were.

message 474: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Smiling sheepishly to herself, Orianna nodded, "Um, yeah. I do sing." She used her hands in a slightly strange gesture, an awkward one of sorts, "I mean, I sing, but it's not the best. Piano is my strong suit." There was truth in her words. Though Orianna really did like to sing, she wasn't the best. It was ironic, in a way. Her last name, Lark, meant songbird, but it was funny how she truly wasn't much of a singer. She liked to do it when she was alone or in the shower, but she didn't tend to otherwise. "But, no. No other instruments. I wanted to play the flute when I was younger though."

There it is! Ash mused in his mind. 'It isn't time.' He was starting to think he might have missed his calling of psychology. Although, seeing someone like him would probably scare a lot of his patients. And besides, you can't shoot or hit at anything when your a psychologist - you'd have to act calm and soothing, and all that rubbish. What type of life was that?
But when Samael started saying that they needed to train, Ash felt his anger rising. There were people here who have trained their whole lives to kill these things - himself included - and here was Sam saying that they were outmatched... he might as well have slapped your sainted mother. That was how insulting it was. However, the hunter knew it would be useless to fight against his angel. He wouldn't change his mind, no matter how hard Ash punched him in the face. So all he let out was a mix between a growl and a grunt.

message 476: by [deleted user] (new)

Sam could almost feel the frustration hanging heavy in the air. "Ash, you don't understand. These creatures have been in mass groups for who knows how many years. Training. That's all the school is used for." He stood up, brushing off his jacket. His dirty blonde hair was ruffled in the wind, his blue eyes calm yet tired.
"You're just human Ash. You get cut; you bleed. Please try to remember that." His pale hand settled on Ash's shoulder for a moment, tiredness replaced with concern in his eyes. He lingered for a moment, as if he was trying to read his human's mind. Samael tentatively removed the hand, before shoving it in his pocket and heading back inside to the warmth of HQ.

"That's cool, the flute is very majestic" Esmae managed a small smile. "Do you prefer major or minor chords?" She asked, curios. She would have assumed that since Orianna wanted to play the flute she would like major chords but she never did since assumptions were dangerous and could make you look like a stereotypical idiot. Esmae took a deep breath as she started to feel a small lump in her through as she thought of what her father had taught her.

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Teadrinkingcat wrote: "Sam could almost feel the frustration hanging heavy in the air. "Ash, you don't understand. These creatures have been in mass groups for who knows how many years. Training. That's all the school is..."

((Naw. A little human and angel bonding moment. :) ))

"I know," he said, his voice slightly cracking. He knew that he could bleed - he's seen others do the exact same. That was what kept Ash going; knowing that humans like him could easily bleed, while supernaturals couldn't.
He watched as Sam went back into the HQ. He was glade that his angel never asked where he had been that day. What was he supposed to say? Nothing much. Attacked a werewolf, nearly got Orianna and myself killed, and had a brawl with a fellow Hunter. He could just imagine the long speech he would be given then. Taking his hat off, he rubbed his fingers through his hair, letting out a long sigh. Ash found that he was more and more tired by the day - this was probably because of all the stress and the lack of food and the lack of a good nights sleep where he's not haunted by nightmares. His face looked as worn out as he was in that moment. In that moment, he was only a sad lost boy. But he quickly put his hat back on, and all of a sudden he was Ash Wate; a snakry, hansome, and badass werewolf hunter. He was himself again.

message 479: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Orianna gave a bob of the head to the girl's appreciation of the instrument. Though she'd never learned how to play the flute, Orianna had truly wanted to. That was actually exactly why the Nephilim love the instrument: it was so elegant and majestic that she couldn't help but find it amazing. Music was something Orianna pleasured herself in. "Major chords." She answered, smiling. This was most definitely something she enjoyed talking about.

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) "When I was younger my parents read to me this story of a man called the Pied Piper, its actually kind of a dark tale. This man used a flute to rid the town of rats and ask for a high price, the people didn't give all of it to him claiming he didn't deserve it for it took so little effort. The next day the Pied Piper came back and once again he began to play his flute but this time the children began to dance away and were never seen again. This is a terrible story but I guess it shows the power of music and to never underestimate someone," Esmae said, then worried that she might scare the girl or make her think that she was a terrible person she added, "That night I cried my self to sleep and I didn't listen to any music for weeks." She chuckled at the last part because of how ridiculous that had been.

message 481: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) ((Sorry if it sounds like I'm just backing out, but my friend wants to RP with Ori so I kind of have to get her there somehow. But I really loved RPing with you :) it's always fun to do a scene not involving angst and murder XD ))

Instead of being scared or even intimidated by the story, Orianna found herself smiling and letting out a slight laugh. Strangely, she found the story somewhat humorous. Yes, it was dark, but certainly not the darkest thing she'd ever heard or even witnessed. God knows that she'd seen and heard worse. "My sister read me that story once. I was teaching her how to read and that was the story she was assigned." There was a bright smile on Orianna's lips as she recounted the memory. Suddenly, her thoughts reverted to when she'd tried to teach another being how to read. Suddenly, she felt herself darken slightly. Back when times had been good, her thoughts never seemed to veer this off. Usually, Orianna was quite the level headed girl. Now though, things seemed to be changing. "Um, would you excuse me?" She asked, blushing slightly at the question. She disliked being this forward greatly, but her mind was elsewhere. At the moment, she just couldn't keep her focus. Her eyes glanced to a clock on the wall, seeing it was around three in the afternoon. There was still time for her to clear her thoughts before the day's end. Orianna just hoped that was indeed possible.

message 482: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) ((Oh no that's totally fine))

"Of course," Esmae said. In a way she was relived to be out of the conversation and back to her own thoughts, there was nothing she could mess up now. "I'll see ya around," she called walking away. As she was roaming the building Esmae retreated to the darkness of her mind, surprisingly getting more rest then she did during the recent nights.

message 483: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) ((Okay, thank you! :D ))

As the girl walked away, Orianna nodded, trying to smile. She was fine; absolutely fine. Pivoting on her heels, she twiddled her thumbs for a moment before looking to the entrance of the HQ. For a minute, she considered just staying inside. Maybe she shouldn't go wandering about when the end of the world as they knew it would soon be at hand. However, Orianna found that she just couldn't help herself. She felt the need to get out of here and be away from the hunters and other angels for a little while. As much as she cared for the others in the trio of Ash and Sam, she didn't feel like hanging around this locale any longer. Too much had happened in the past day for her to go through another episode. She just needed to clear her head. So, in the spur of the moment, Orianna approached the door, nodding to the angels standing guard. A week ago, she would have been too timid to even do such a thing, but it seemed that Orianna was changing. Whether that be for the better or the worst couldn't be assured. All Orianna knew was that she was different.

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) Esmae wandered aimlessly not really paying attention to where she was going, her mind too consumed in her thoughts. After her blunder in that conversation she began to question if what she was doing was truly the right thing, her solid beliefs began to crumble and she didn't like it. Esmae knew she should be paying attention to her surroundings but she was to absorbed in her battle with her conscience, and ran in to someone. "Sorry, I should have been paying attention to where i was going," she paused a moment to orient herself.

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Just as Ash was about to leave, something crashed right into him, making him wobble to the side. He dipped his head a little, and his cowboy hat fell to the floor. Regaining his feet, he turned to the person who walked into him - who, as it turned out, was a girl. Scowling at her, he reached down and collected it in his hand, brushing off the dust with his other hand as he rose. "Well you'd better watch it next time," he muttered, putting his hat back on.

message 486: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) "What?" Esmae said forgetting that someone was there. She sook her head a bit to clear it, "Right, sorry." Well he seemed a bit on edge, she had said sorry and that she should have been more careful. She didn't recognize him but then again she never really paid much attention to many other hunters. "Nice hat," Esmae nodded, she loved watching old westerns though she didn't like the way some Indians were portrayed as savages. Then it hit her, could they be portraying the supernatural as something they're not? But the demons are ruthless and would kill anyone who got in their way she argued back at herself.

-☠- ṨⅈⱤ℮ℕ- ☠- | 8 comments Amata sat perched behind a stuffed dummy on the first level, drinking a rather bitter Red Bull as she scrawled in her journal. It was definitely a big one; more pages than any other notebook she'd kept. After learning about the existence of Angels in the past week she knew she had to cover everything about them. It wasn't as easy as she had hoped, either. They were extremely secretive, and the ones that would talk were rather thick, as she thought. Nonetheless, so far she'd stolen an Angel blade to examine (she promised to return it), had one younger Angel tell her what they looked like outside of a vessel, and had gotten a bit of information from the special humans that were being protected by such creatures. All in a days work.
She took another swig and brushed a black lock of hair out of her face.

message 488: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Ash looked at her, trying to figure if she was sarcastic or not. No one commented on his hat. It was a thing no one did. No one said anything good or bad about his hat. It was just... a hat. So this girl had to be sarcastic. But her tone didn't suggest it. So, he decided to ask. "Your either mockin' me," he said, "or your drunk. Which is it?"

message 489: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) "I don't drink and I'm not the type of person who mocks my allies. Can't I give someone a compliment without it being questioned?" Esmae asked, she felt insulted by the fact that he had asked it she was drunk. Though she could seem tough and cold she wasn't one to drink or do drugs or smoke or what ever other humans did to show that they were cool or tough. Esmae knew that those things would cloud her better judgement, and senses for that matter, and the one thing she feared now was being left helpless.

message 490: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) "No," Ash replied. "No you can't. No one gives off random compliments unless there drunk, mocking, or want something. And since we've just met I know you don't want something. So it had to be either the other two. And can't someone be careful of insults?" As it has been proven, Ash liked to drink and forget everything for a while. He didn't do drugs or cigarettes because he really didn't see the point in them. Drugs made his mind too slow, and every hunter's minds need to be sharp(ish), and cigarettes didn't do anything except make you sick.

Sierra Nihil (sierra_nihil) Esmae scowled, "I like old westerns therefore I like your hat, does that make it ok?" This guy was really getting on her nerves. Samael appeared between the two, brows furrowed together. He clearly looked upset.
"I sensed tension. Is everything alright here?" He inclined, narrowing his eyes at Esmae before scanning her with icy eyes. He materialized his Angel blade just in case, keeping it hidden in the sleeve of his jacket as he awaited an answer.

message 493: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Ash looked at the girl, his face blank. "I guess," he said, "if you like westerns an' stuff. And excuse me, but you'd be surprised how many hunters are drunks. You bumpin' into me could have been a sign that your drunk, and giving me a compliment could have been a sign too. So I'm sorry if I took all of these signs and said you were drunk." He turned to Samael, his angel, with a raised eyebrow and a small smile. "Is it not obvious that we're having a delightful conversation?"

She had only arrived at the Hunters HQ about a week ago, and new no one well. She felt out of place in a place full of other people, and since she wasn't much of a social butterfly, and she had made zero friends so far. Well, it's not like she was planning on making any friends anyways. She just wanted somewhere to stay. At least the people at the HQ all had a common interest: getting rid of Supernaturals.

She shut off her brother's--her minivan, and stepped out onto the the ground, her high-heeled boots indenting the grass. She slipped her sunglasses down over her eyes, the bright glare irritating her, and made her way to the building. She had no training to do this afternoon, as she had done a ton in the morning, so she was looking forward to just doing some relaxing yoga while listening to music. The next best thing would be getting into a petty argument with some idiot, but she wasn't in the mood for that today. To be honest, she was a little out of it and she didn't want people to know that harsh and brutal Brion wasn't... harsh and brutal today. She walked walked into the abandoned warehouse that served as the headquarters, and continued to the top floor where they all slept and relaxed to get her iPod and earbuds. And maybe her cat, as long as Pepper wasn't going to bother her while she relaxed.

((no that's ok, I'm sorry if Esmae seems rude but she's one of the 'survival of the fittest' people so she's often edgy. sorry I haven't posted I've been rather busy as of late))

Esmae rolled her eyes at the angel as he seemed to prepare for a fight. "I don't want to start any fights," she said to the angel, the muttered "We do enough of that already." Turning to Ash she said "Well I guess I'll take what I'm given, being as you don't seem to be the type to admit your wrongs to often." She didn't say it in a mocking or a mean tone, but one that showed she was merely stating an observation. She wondered what had his knickers in a twist, it was probably something like that he didn't kill all the supernatural he had wanted to or something like that. She had to stifle a chuckle at the thought.

Samael tensed at her dramatic eye-roll, clearly bristling even further. He didn't like this girl. Then again, angels don't really like anyone.
"I would hope one wouldn't be inclined to enjoy warfare. Now please, let's all be on our merry way." He spoke stiffly, voice leaking with self-taught sarcasm. "We're in a Hunter HQ. Friends with friends. Allies with allies. There is no need to fight here, and if there is, I'll take care of it quickly."

Well if Sam didn’t like this girl, Ash sure as hell didn’t. He felt his anger rise when she pointed out his little fault. Oh, I’m sorry if I wasn’t perfect enough for you, sweetie, he wanted to say. I promise I will be a perfect little boy from now on. I’ll bow whenever you pass, and I’ll always be oh so polite and kind. When a supernatural tries to eat your brain, I’ll ask that supernatural to please stop. Don’t worry, I’ll remember to say thank you afterwards. He didn’t say any of this, though, because he knew better then to lash out. He somehow needed to control his anger before it gets him killed. He wouldn’t have put all those people in danger at the restaurant if he had left that werewolf alone. That girl wouldn’t be mentally scared for life. So he stood there, eyes boring into her until he turned to Sam and said, “I don’t have friends. I’m not a friendly person. You of all people should know that.”

Once again, Sam felt anger radiating off Ash and couldn't help but sigh inwardly. Averting his gaze from the girl to stare at Ash. "Then have allies. I won't always be here to protect you, especially if this attack gets any bigger than it already is."
He shifted awkwardly, not enjoying having serious conversations around this girl. He started to walk away, but he stopped by Ash momentarily. "Control your anger." He whispered in his ear, words sounding a bit miffed and frustrated as well. He continued on his way, and couldn't help but remember that he had helped Sebastian and his friends go into Fredrick's layer. Shit. He had to make sure that went undetected.
