Thomas Paul "Field of Dreams" is better than the book. I could watch the movie over and over again.

Ana (404-equivalent) This is an unpopular opinion, but I liked the film of The Time Traveller's Wife much more than the book. I also saw the movie first, then read the book, so I knew what to expect. The writing didn't really blow me away (although that might be the issue of translation) and I couldn't really connect to Henry and Claire's party life, which is left out in the movie. They both seemed colder to me in the book, then again the film focuses more on the romance. I don't know. I just really like the movie where the book was enjoyable, but nothing special.

I have had the book for a while now and still not read it Ana.

Ana (404-equivalent) Well, I know many people love the book, so maybe it's just me. I'm interested in what you'd make of it.

message 105: by Colleen Marie (new)

Colleen Marie Zukowski (clevergirlfromgallifrey) Usually I tend to like the book better but I definitely think the movie of V for Vendetta was better than the graphic novel.

Duane Parker (tduaneparkeryahoocom) | 14 comments 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke much better than the book.

I totally agree with you. I saw the film first and absolutely loved it, I was eager to read the book as the book is usually much better than the film. Not in this case, well in my opinion.

I preferred the book Noorilhuda. It was much darker, whereas the film had been sanitised a little

Marina (sonnenbarke) One classic example would be Blade Runner vs. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I really liked the book, but the movie was much better in my opinion.

Then, I much preferred Stanley Kubrick's version of Barry Lyndon vs. the book. I thought the book was incredibly boring, while the movie is one of my favorites ever.
