In "The Casual Vacancy", I was deeply affected by Krystal's suicide of sorts but the longer I thought about it, the more I realised that I could not imagine any other solution for her happiness once Robbie died. Do you think any other course of action would have given her peace?
Also, on a side note, are these characters as familiar to you as those of
Harry Potter? After all, you spent a decade writing the series and marginally less than that on this new novel; are characters intuitively intimate to you?
Thank you for everything you have done for my imagination and beliefs, currently reading HP for the umpteenth time :)

What gave you inspiration to start this book and if you were inspired a little bit by your Harry Potter?

This was a very enjoyable read, I laughed, cried - I hope we see more along this vein. I am thankful you took the chance on a new genre.

What inspired you to right this book and what did you fear most when you got the book published?

I would like to ask for a sequel as well. I was very intrigued by so many of the characters and would love to see how more things turned out.
