Power: Cassidy can deconstruct matter through touch. Meaning, by touching something, she can make it deconstruct itself and become something else, melt, and so on. Doing this makes her extremely tired, though.
Appearance:
Personality: Cassidy is always wary. She's caring, but it's hard to earn her trust. She's sweet, for sure, but if she doesn't know you, there's a shell around herself that keeps her from getting hurt. She's very trustworthy, responsible, and extremely cautious. But Cassidy will always defend someone, no matter the consequences. She looks at things logically, and always, always, always, thinks before getting herself mixed up in something. She's beyond smart, really. She's smarter than most professors, but she's too shy to show it. Of course, no one knows that about her, because to everyone, Cassidy is a complete and total jerk. She's not nice to anyone, really. Cassidy is reluctant to put herself in a potentially dangerous situation, so her solution is to make herself strong as possible. Of course, she often comes across as arrogant and, well, b*tchy, but she's not like that at all.
History: Cassidy was always an unlucky child. She got in trouble at school for things she didn't do. She was adopted at age four, since her bright, amiable personality appealed to foster families so much. But she always knew she didn't belong. She didn't know why, just that she didn't. She always had an interest in science, as if she knew that she were a mutant--which she didn't. Cassidy was always the one that people bullied because she didn't fit in. She was the girl that was never the same as everyone else, no matter how hard she tried. She could never manage to blend in. At home, she was okay, even if her brothers always brought her down. They told her mean things, about how she was stupid and worthless because she wasn't related to them. In all, Cassidy was always lonely.

Personality: Keith was a destructive and angry kid growing up, dwelling on the fact that his real parents didn't want him. He had an emotional wall, never letting people know his feelings. Inside, Keith would always feel abandoned, lonely, angry, or upset. He'd sometimes try to solve this problem with drinking, but it seemed to make the problem worse. If someone tries to talk to him, he'll shut them out and ignore them. He prefers to be alone and isolated. When in public, he keeps a low profile and is diligent in finishing college assignments, playing the role of 'that shy quiet guy'.
History: Keith wasn't very happy growing up, feeling jealous every time he heard the word mom or dad. His adoptive parents tried the best they could to make him happy, buying him toys and almost whatever he wanted. Keith didn't ask for much, and kept himself locked in his room playing the guitar to songs according to his mood. Without close friends to talk to, he had spent his life studying different languages. He is fluent in French, Spanish, and italian. He drinks a little bit to get away when things get stressful, but ends up regretting it after. He doesn't have any foster siblings, but has his own great Dane named Jessie.

Personality: Quite shy due to being looked over growing up. Very innocent and quiet. Her normal talking voice is a whisper and she finds it hard to speak up. Semi - determined about her situation, but is a total doormat when is comes down to it. However when her favorite things or her family are threatened she becomes a totally different person. Her rage has no limits and WILL destroy normal people. Still it is incredibly hard for her to go into such a state. Drifts through the days unnoticed and never remembered.
History: She originally was under the care of a Frenchman. He was very flirtatious and generally left her to her own devices when he was in pursuit of l'amour in France. Soon and Englishman adopted her with his son who was already her age. They looked like twins even though they weren't related. Maddie's new brother forgot about her constantly. Even her new father forgot about her all the time when he did remember it was because he thought she was her brother and he had gotten in trouble. She soon had gotten used to that, even her polar bear kumajiro forgot who she was. Constantly she was picked on mistaken as her brother, because he was very obnoxious and ticked many people off. She was only truly remembered on the ice. She was a hockey master. But after the game it went back too "who are you again?".

Disadvantage: It takes her own energy to heal you. Geneva uses her energy to heal, or stop your heartbeat so it tires her greatly depending on the severity of the wound. She cannot heal herself

[Personality:] Geneva isn't the most social person. She may seem like a sweet, kind person, but isn't one you want to piss off. She is different from everyone she knows, not just because she a mutant, but because she loves school and devotes herself to it. Mainly she stays to herself, hating to talk to people. She normally just ignores people and lives in her headphones and music. Some of the perfect words can just set her off. She is shy, small and will disappear given the chance. Geneva can be dark at times, but people ignore her and don't even notice.

First Family
As all mutants start, she was in an orphanage. She was first adopted at age three for her sweet appearance and attitude. Her foster parents were unable to have children and absolutely adored Geneva. Then there was a car crash. The father died, he was the main support for the striving family. Now a widow, the mother was unable to take care of Geneva so she was sent back to another orphanage. A six year old Geneva didn't know what to think. Why had they abandoned her? She thought they left her, didn't want her anymore.
Second and final family
She was then hardened, shut off from everyone. The sweet, loving Geneva was killed in that accident along with her foster father. Although this was a setback, she was later again adopted at age eight. Her foster parents loved her for the first six months they brought her home. Then, as if she were a toy, they lost interest in her. Actually, they once forgot about her and left her home alone for a week at the age of eight.
Cancer
Geneva's stepmother kept having seizures. She was always sick and weak. Doctor after doctor, they found out that she had a brain tumor and would die. And just as he predicted, a year later, she did pass. Her stepfather, Ryan, was devastated, grief stricken. He didnt know what to do with all his anger. Geneva. She was all he had left. Just like earlier, she was a toy. A lapdog.
His Toy
He would dress her up like a doll and do whatever he wanted. Sometimes it would be lust, love. Other times it would be hatred, anger. She was convinced he had some sort of mental disease. He was sick. More then one occasion, he would rape her. This all started when she was twelve years old. She was forced to take a pill that would stop her from having her period, he had thought of everything. He controled her. Ryan like his girls small. Sometimes, he wouldnt let her eat, and wouldnt ever let her weigh more then seventy-five pounds. She couldnt go to the police. How could she when he was head sheriff? Then on his bad days, he would inflict pain on her. Of course, everyone of her teachers knew she had been in a car accident at a young age. They just assumed they were scars from then. He hadnt hit her since she was thirteen. By now, they were only scars. But she would rather be beaten then raped again and again. Sadly, she had no choice.
Death
Geneva wanted to die. Living in hell everyday, without any motivation, anything to live for wasnt worth it. Ryan is now very secure on what she can use. For instance, she isnt allowed to shave her legs, they must be waxed. When she was fifteen, she tried cutting her wrists with a razor. If the teachers noticed the scars on her wrists, they didnt say anything. If she were honest with herself, she thought they were scared of her. She had that aura about her. She still wants to die, but cant with the father breathing over her shoulder.

History: Lila was adopted from an orphanage by two parents whom she loved very much. All went well, until she was about six. Lila walked into her father kissing a woman other than her father. Her parents split up a year later. Lila began having issues when she was around thirteen. She started seeing things and hearing things. When she was fourteen her doctors told her that she was schizophrenic. Now she is on medication for it, so it somewhat under control but, certain things still trigger her schizophrenia to act up. She hasn't talked to her father since he left, and her mother is planning on getting remarried. She now lives in an apartment with her mother in LA.

Light and shadow manipulation. A mass of malleable darkness which she can channel to various effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance, and ability to control, generate light particles; the ability to create objects of pure light. The bigger the object created or the bigger the attack is uses more energy, if she uses too much then she will faint for around thirty minutes no matter what. She must use a balance between light and shadow or the fainting will come faster, and stay longer.

Ash is a bright and shy girl. She tends to be closed off with several walls that are at least two feet deep. She doesn’t show emotion so people don’t come to her, but on the occasional topic such as books she shows the occasion glimmer of joy in her eyes. She would do anything for her dog Hazel, or her friends (if she had any). She’s sarcastic and rude so she won’t get attached to people, but the occasional person can penetrate the walls surrounding her.

Ash started in an orphanage, when she was 6 she went to her first foster home. The family there was very kind. On a family outing they were caught in a car crash, leaving the parents with damaged memories, and no longer being able to look after themselves properly, whereas Ash was left unscathed. After the news of this got out no couple was brave enough to adopt let alone foster her, so she stayed in the orphanage. Do to the constant bullying by others because of her unusual eyes on her 15th birthday she ran away to an abandoned house on the outskirts of town. She continued to go to school where she blends in the shadows, no one noticing her. That was until a girl named Shelby took her under her wing, she acted like Ash’s friend until she humiliated her in front of the other friends Ash managed to make. Now where ever she went she was made fun of. One day a group of boys took it to the extreme they picked her up one holding each of her limbs, blind folded her, taunted her then threw her in a pond. These resulted in Ash having trust issues, being closed odd to the world, and a fear of water. From then on she has only her books and music as an escape from her much less than perfect world. Although her first and last foster family has a hard time remembering her, she still visits them every week. To help pay for the costs Ash works two jobs one as a waitress at a local restaurant, and one as a mechanic.

Personality: (at least five sentences. Actual sentences, please.) Light is very sweet and charming. She's flirtatious, but not the high school cheerleader way. She's the kind of girl that everybody ends up liking, though usually before you really get to know her. She has a sweet voice, and is very persuasive. She's secretive in a manner because often, you don't know what she really wants.
History: (Ten sentences or more please :) ) Light's a sealed letter in an open book. Everyone knows where she's been and how she lived. She grew up in a harsh orphanage due to parents tht didn't want her. She was then sent to a foster care with abusive parents. When she was 12, she was an overnight star for standing up to them. She was on headlines everywhere, a poster child for independance and bravery. The part that no one understands though, is how she always managed to act like everything was okay. She could always manage to smile through everything, laugh along and joke with insults. In the end, sticks and stones were the only thing that could break her, though she smiled as they did. No one knows her true intentions, and why she's hidden under sunlight, despite her dark surroundings.

Personality: Evie is brighter than the sun. She'll never hurt anyone, never allow someone to get hurt. If it means ending her own life, she'll do it in a heartbeat. Evie will do anything to make another person happy. She's got endless energy, loves to talk, and is always hyper. She can't sit still, at all. Evie is smarter than she appears, knocking the dumb blonde stereotype out the door. She's got a knack for music, as well as theatre.
History: Despite her sunny personality, Evie didn't have a bright past. After she was released from the experiment at age six, her first adopted family was murdered. All of them except her. By the time she was seven, she had another family who adopted her, this one in Michigan. That went well, up until she was eight. Then they were all killed in a plane crash, one she was fortunate enough to survive. Evie then was crushed. She taught herself music, which became her safety. By the time Evie was eleven, she'd had two more adoptive families, both of which had met tragic ends. She moved to LA with a new family at twelve. Even though Evie had no trouble making friends, none of them stuck around. That was okay with her. As soon as Evie turned eighteen, she moved out. She didn't want to hurt any more people than she already had.

She never got in trouble at school, she was quite a girly girl. No one even had the slightest idea she was a mutant. Isabelle didn't either. She had a steady boyfriend, a steady family, everything was fine. She hanged at with friends and went to the mall. But then she read the note on her locker.

Advantage: This power is very useful, and is it's own weapon. The ability to manipulate water and ice. Water molecules can be pulled out of the air itself and combined to make whirlpools, tidal waves, or jet streams.
Disadvantage: She can do it for extensive amounts of time, but it's very tiring and gives her splitting headaches if she does it for too long.
Appearance:
Aine is very slim; with devastatingly blue eyes; almost black, wavy hair; and is about 5'7". She has a strange birthmark on her back in the shape of a pentagram. (view spoiler) It's small, but it is still there.
Personality: Ainsley is a very feisty, sometimes rude, and brave teenager. She never backs down from a fight, and always stands up for what she believes in, and the people she cares about. Once you get to know her, she is actually very nice and is a great listener. She loves music, combat and gymnastics, and she is an avid reader. She isn't a fashionista, like most of the other senior girls, and isn't very popular. She usually likes to wear t-shirts, combat boots (or black Converse) and dark wash skinny jeans. She isn't self conscious, and doesn't really care what people think of her. Aine is very strong, emotionally and physically. She often has a look of sadness on her, her eyes are dead and empty and she looks very wistful.
History: Aine's childhood is definitely not a happy one. Quite frankly, it's one she would rather forget. Her mother, a widowed woman, adopted her as a baby. She had no idea about the birthmark, and only really noticed it when Aine was three. She went crazy, literally, when she saw it. See, her mother was extremely religious, and very unstable. She associated the pentagram with Satan. Aine's childhood was a nightmare of being shut in closets for hours, hit and severely abused by her mother, and name calling. 'Satan's spawn', and 'Witch scum', were some of her mother's favourites. (Think the crazy mother from "Carrie") Aine suffered for 15 years under the same roof with her mother... And was slightly happy when she heard that she had been killed in a car accident. Aine was moved into foster care, and has now lived with a foster family for a year.
Her foster family is almost as bad as living with mother. Her older foster brother, Andrew is extremely creepy, and unbeknownst to the parents, likes to come into Aine's room at night and do... Things. Very bad things to her. He says that if she tells them, he will make her life a living hell. It's not like they will believe her anyways, as they adore Andrew- the perfect, popular, intelligent, golden boy- and they don't care for Aine at all, as they are also busy with looking after four other foster kids. Aine can't wait for Andrew to move out for University next year.
Crush: None at the moment. She isn't planning on dating anyone (psshhaa yes she is). She doesn't let anyone boy touch her, and probably never will because of Andrew.

Power: Allysse can disable your greatest strength for as long as she can keep it up, and use it herself. By doing this, you are left with everything except your best asset, the thing you depend on most, as she uses it for her own good. With most mutants, this is their powers. However, this leaves her very, very tired, and unable to think straight.
Appearance:
Personality: Allysse has always been reserved. She loves people, and she's brighter than the sun, but she's been raised to believe that she couldn't shine the way she wanted. Allysse is afraid of everything, but mostly her mother and gang members and fire. Fire sets her off the deep end. Allysse, despite her many, many flaws, is a very sweet girl. She's willing to help anyone, except herself. Allysse is very insecure, and will burst into tears at a moment's notice. She tries not to let herself break down, tries to be strong, but she's not good at it at all. Allysse is wonderful with words, but she's hesitant to say them. Allysse feels uncomfortable talking out loud, uncomfortable around people, because they always hurt her. She's logical, and thinks before acting. She's never liked to disagree with people, but she will if she has to.
History: Allysse was once an imaginative little girl, who always believed in fairy tales. Then, when she turned seven, her father walked out on her, leaving her with her abusive mother. Allysse's mother liked to beat her, and bring home men--strangers to her--on a daily basis. She'd always tried to stay on her mother's good side, but that hardly ever happened. Most days she'd go to school trying to hide bruises, burns, and such. She'd never really had any friends, ever. Not many people liked to talk to her, not many paid her a second glance. When she turned fourteen, Allysse got in a fight with her mother. And unlike their other fights, this one ended with Allysse getting kicked out of the house. He had a friend in foster care that he considered his brother, and while they wanted to be adopted together, it didn’t happen. Joss isn’t unhappy with his foster family (the same ones that adopted him all those years ago), but he never fully adjusted to life with them and his new siblings. He was never truly content. After finding the letter, Iva convinced the gang to allow her to leave to go to Cairo, Egypt.
Everyday during her childhood Iva questioned the gang leader about her true family, much to her dismay he was never able to answer. Iva eventually grew used to the fact that she would never have a true family.

Also, I know you're probably sick of my criticism--sorry!--but mutants cannot be older than twenty, as the experiment started twenty years ago. The older characters tend to have slightly more faulty powers than the youngest--no younger than thirteen--as Robinson managed to work some stuff out between those times. Thanks! Aarron basically brought Mercedes up as his son. She isnt girly at all. She was considered a military prodity, ready for the military at the age of fifteen. Of course, she wasnt allowed, but would as soon as she reached 18. Aarron brought Mercedes to work with him, so she knew lots of other things normal kids at school wouldnt. She is homeschooled, but surpringly, has pretty good social skills. She got to train with actual army members at times, it was her P.E. credit. She loved it and wouldnt change it. Her father trained her personally, taught her everything. She is very athletic and smart. Not brilliant, but bright. Considered more athletic than smart. She has common sense and fast reflexes.
Her father never told her she was adopted and thinks he is her actual father. He was part of the military, high, repected. She met the president on several occasions. She loved and believed him him. Aside from his flirtatious nature, Renz is perceived by many as a walking and talking enigma; unpredictable and full of complexity one may find hard to comprehend. In general he's a fairly amiable fellow - always belonging in different circles of friends. However, none of his 'friends' knows what's really on his mind. He rarely shows his anger, for Renz has a long fuse. It suits everyone just fine because if Renz lost his temper, then he can create destruction... which he has no control of.
Despite his friendly approach toward other people, Renz does not cared about them at all. His so-called friends are there merely for his own entertainment. Not in a bad way, though. Just like the other Robinson experiments, Renz was taken away from his biological parents when he was a baby. At the age of four he was found in front of an orphanage and so they took him in. Due to his good looks he was adopted in a matter of weeks. Renz's foster parents brought him up being loved and cared for. Being a child, Renz returned everything they had done for him with the same love he had been given. But then a tragedy came to his life. Burglars broke into their house and killed his parents after they stole their possessions. Renz saw everything that had happened as he was just hiding inside the cupboard under the stairs. With the sound of his sobs the burglars eventually located him. He was eight years old that time, and that's the first time his power manifested. In a fit of anger Renz made the things in their house hover a few feet from the ground. The burglars were perplexed and a bit unnerved , and so left in a hurry, with Renz sitting beside his parents swimming in their own pool of blood.
After that he was taken into his foster father's brother's custody. His foster uncle, per say. They didn't treat him the way he was treated when his foster parents were alive. Renz was thought to a burden to their already expanded family. Since then, he isn't the same joyous Renzo known by many. The death of his parents was one thing. Him seeing how they died was another.
Renz promised to exact revenge on the three burglars who murdered his parents in cold blood.
His current situation is far from a promising life. Renz barely lives with his uncle anymore, and if he ever does, he will just stay the night as if he were a boarder. Most times Renz is invited in his friends' houses for sleepover, which suits him and his uncle both fine.
Now, he can't wait to turn 18 so he can live completely on his own... until the letter came.

Personality: Joe is outgoing fun unafraid, and is known to throw caution to the wind.. Once you get to know her that is.. First impressions aren't her. she's a spitfire and will be rude witty and cruel when you first meet her, and will be very cautious of the person. but after the 'test' stage as she puts it, she will open up and become her fun outgoing witty and humorous self.. tho she will tend to get into arguments easily and her temper will lash out once set off.. She can become moody and unpredictable but who isn't like that sometimes...
History:
She doesn't remember the first four years if her life, of course not even glimpses. For the next two years of her Life, so until the age of 6 she lived in a lonely apartment building with her single mother and as an only child until the building burned down with her mother inside while joe got rescued by the firefighters. Joe was in the building during the fire but wasn't burned alive from the flames cause her mother had used her body as a cover causing her to burn to a crisp while joe came out with burns only on her limbs. She then spent the next year in the hospital both healing and trying to find out if she had any relatives... Finding none she was sent to an orphanage. At the age of 8 when they were about to place her into the adoption program when her aunt finally showed up and took guardianship over joe. Then living with her aunt for four years, she had enough of the abuse (her aunt abused her physically) when her aunt took a razor and sliced joe across the back. she packed a carry on with things she absolutely needed and ran away at the age of 12. She has been living on her own for the last four years working part time while she still attends school the rest of the time. Joe managed to rent a cheep apartment with a roommate that she rarely sees but she has not regretted leaving her aunt. The scar she has hidden under her hair over her left eyebrow when she got stuck in the middle of a Little gang and got nicked with a switchblade sneaking away. But the tattoo she had since as long as she can remember like an odd realistic birthmark of sorts.

Personality: Although Sybella is mute, it does not deter her from expressing what she needs or wants through gesturing. She is headstrong, fierce and beautiful. Sybella hates staying still for too long and loves to be outdoors always looking for her next adventure. Hobbies include climbing trees and playing with her animal friends. Her curiosity often gets the better of her, and it drives her parents crazy whenever she gets lost.
At school, everyone assumes that because she is mute, she is a helpless beauty. It also doesn't help the fact that she often has a dazed expression on her face during school because she'd rather play with her animal friends rather than interact with the complicated humans. History: When she was four, Sybella had been living at the orphanage. She was always ignored by the other children and forgotten by the adults because of her silence. They assumed that her lack of speech was due to being overly shy and left her alone. One day, the orphanage had a trip to the zoo and to her surprise, she discovered that she could communicate with all the animals. Delighted, she did not want to leave her new friends, so she ditched the orphan group and hid out in the lion's den and fell asleep against a lioness and her cubs. The next day, she was discovered by the zoo-keeper and his wife and they decided to keep her and raise her as if she were their own child.
Growing up, her parents were very over-protective when they found out about her inability to speak. They also discovered her love for the animals and they let her play with them and help out around the zoo. They think that she has a "knack" for dealing with animals, when in truth, she can actually talk to them. Her parents also taught her how to read and write and she can now communicate to others with her little white-board and markers that she brings where ever she goes.
