Fallon fiddled with her heart shaped, golden locket. It was given to her by her parents, right before they died. Right before they were murdered. She opened it up. Inside was a picture of her and her parents, holding her when she was only a baby. Tears welled up in her eyes as she stared at the photo, remembering the life that she once had. The life that was gone now. Forever.

((when's the tram gonna stop?))

"Fine!" Leo said, flinging his arms out of their previous position. "It's just that the last time he fed on me, he drained half of me," he muttered as he grabbed Ruth's shoulders and starting shaking him viciously. "Wake. Up. You. Stupid. Thing..." he cursed just as Ruth's eyes snapped open. Leo dropped Ruth back onto the floor and stepped back, crossing his arms above his chest again.

"Why in the world did- You," Ruth hissed, baring his fangs at Leo the moment he laid his eyes on the Howler. "What are you doing here? Get away from me you fool," he snapped when Leo came towards him with a knife in hand now. Ignoring his remarks, Leo sliced a wound into his arm and squatted down.

"Here," Leo murmured as he extended his arm out towards the Bleeder. Gee, it had been a long time since they seen each other but Ruth hadn't changed...not that Leo was expecting him to. "Drink it," he snapped when Ruth just stared at the blood flowing, "Now, Ruth. Drink it, while it's still-" before Leo could say 'fresh', Ruth sunk his teeth into the wound and drank. Wincing from the sudden pain, Leo jerked back an inch but Ruth drank on. ...

One minute passed and Ruth finally let go, wiping his mouth with his jacket sleeve. Blood smeared the black material. "Enough?" Leo asked, glancing down at his own pale arm. Ruth gave him a curt nod and Leo withdrew his arm, cradling it in his chest. Standing over the Bleeder, Leo turned to the blonde and ginger. "I'm on the Freelancers' side. You too?" he jerked his chin at the ginger. "Simpcon," Ruth muttered as he stood up slowly, shivering at his previous blood lust. Ugh, it hurt whenever he just attacked someone like that.

Surkhab wrote: ""Simpcon." Zena said at the same time Ruth said and at the same time Maisie said "Simpcon." "So, you're all Freelancers, huh?" She said to everyone but while looking at Maisie. "Maisie. It's been a..."

"You say you would have helped me. But may I ask how you intended to? For what I am seeing now is Giordano letting me feed on his blood. Where, McKay, do you jump into the play?" Ruth said calmly, brushing his hands on his jeans, leaving a faint trace of blood. Now he smelt like blood, putting Leo on edge.

Trying to distract himself, Leo said, "Good. It's a good thing you're not going to kill us. What are your names, huh? I just wanted to know." He put his hands in his pockets, looking between Maisie and the ginger, not stopping for a second to look at Ruth. He didn't want to get into a fight with Ruth, now that his arm was still bleeding.

message 334: by [deleted user] (new)

"I don't know what to make you guys happy but oh well," Leo murmured, "How about we calm down, get the Hell out of here and towards a coffee shop? There, we can slowly discuss our differences and similarities, let's figure something out, huh?" He gave them a weak smile, trying to lighten the mood.

"I do not agree with the coffee part, I must say," Ruth said to Leo. "And it is not for me to care if the three of you are coming or not, but I, for one, am leaving because everyone here is gaping at me like they never seen a Bleeder before. Farewell." Ruth slipped around Leo and walked out of the club, like nothing just happened.

"I'm up for following him. You two?" Leo asked, raising an eyebrow at the girls. He glanced down at his wound. Well, more like where his wound once was because his arm was in its normal tan color and there was no scar to be found. Grinning, he turned away and out of the club without an answer. He wanted to settle the score with Ruth now.

message 335: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well, if you haven't noticed, everyone was staring at him. He totally crashed the club," Leo pointed out behind them. "And since you're a Bleeder, maybe I'll have to hate you too." He looked behind them, wanting to be sure the cops weren't coming after them. Or at least, the security guards.

"The Howler is correct. I 'crashed the club' really terribly. My apologies for ruining your day," Ruth said curtly, on edge when Leo was near. Leo felt exactly the same. Stalking on to the nearest Star Bucks there was, Ruth toyed with the long silver pipe he just slid out from his back sheath.

"Ever noticed how come he doesn't have a gun?" Leo said to Maisie, trying not to make awkward conversation. "He's very traditional, using something like that. And yeah, you might think he's crazy, taking a pipe instead of a M-something, but that pipe, my friend, is some mass killer weapon." Leo gave a low whistle as Ruth glared at him.

Marching into the Star Bucks, Ruth picked a four-seated table and landed on one of the cushioned chairs, crossing a leg over the other and eying Leo as he took a seat opposite him.

message 336: by [deleted user] (new)

"Why? We're half-Simpcon here," Leo stated with a shrug. "Hey, sweet thing! We need some coffee here!" he called over his shoulder to one of the waitresses, who blushed. Turning back to the three, Leo asked Zena, "Do you drink coffee? Because from my experience with him, he doesn't drink anything besides blood." He jerked his chin at Ruth without looking.

Ignoring Leo's talk, Ruth just muttered, "Well, the Simpcon won't bother, for the three of us are still part or fully Simpcon and McKay doesn't look like she has any intention on stepping out of line. So, after all, I'm not concerned about the Simpcon."

"Two cups of coffee first, my dear friends are still thinking," Leo told the waitress when she came. After she was out of earshot, he laid back and looked between Zena and Maisie again. "I can tell the both of you hate Ruth, huh? Good. I'm on your side. Though, Zena, you won't bite me, right?" he said, trying again to make conversation.

message 337: by [deleted user] (new)

"Half-Simpcon because we never really retired?" Leo offered, not sure of how to explain their situation. Glancing at Ruth for help, Leo turned back to Zena. "Well, thanks for not pouncing on me," he said, with a tight smile.

Sighing, Ruth continued for Leo, "We are half-Simpcon for we have not retreated from their ranks. We are still there, to listen for news and orders. We are still their Programmers and we still kill for them if needed. Does that explain why, McKay?"

message 338: by [deleted user] (new)

((Oh, I forgot Maisie was thirsty...))

Soon, two steaming cups of coffee arrived at their table, beckoning Maisie forward with their beautiful and tasty looks. Even the aroma was excellent. "his is why I love Star Bucks," Leo breathed as he picked up the cup and sipped some.

message 339: by [deleted user] (new)

((No problem. ;))

"Trying to 'fight for the cause'," Leo mimicked a public speaker's voice. "What do you think? I'm here for coffee." He gave her an unreadable look and sipped more of the coffee.

"I was here to drink blood," Ruth said simply, "I was here because I had nothing to do. So, any news from the Simpcon we are needed to know?" He raised an eyebrow at Zena.

((Now I'm going for a shower. :P Alessia, out. Come Water Spirit!))

message 340: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah, I agree like Maisie. The last time you tried to drain me we were in a desert, I nearly died," Leo muttered, disliking himself for being out of the conversation.

Ruth just gave him a look of distaste. "Go to Hell. I wish you died, Giordano. Then you would not have been there to kill Kayle Cucoo. Though, I still killed him first," Ruth snapped, looking angry, another rare scene.

Gulping, Leo turned to Maisie. "I know you wouldn't want to tell us strangers what happened between the both of you but is there any slim chance?" he asked, trying to change the subject again before Ruth went onto the part where Alec came out.

message 341: by [deleted user] (new)

((Back! Wanna' know what I thought of? It's useless but I still have the idea. It's the conversation Alexander Revan Nexus-my new character that's coming soon-and Leo and Ruth would have had when they came together: (view spoiler)))

message 342: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 23, 2013 03:00AM) (new)

"Fine. You do it," Leo snapped at Ruth, who was looking calm again.

"Well, Giordano is a Howler. An enemy of the Bleeders. I, unfortunately for him, am a Bleeder. We hate each other and had no feelings for the other ever. Does that answer it?" Ruth said simply, though his eyes confirmed there were feelings for the other once.

"And you missed out the part when you called me a pain in the neck and a dick," Leo added in, trying not to look miserable.

((I'm about to go for dinner now...))

message 343: by [deleted user] (new)

((Back!))

"Well, nobody died in our story. Sorry? And besides, the Simpcons are not really that bad..." Leo trailed off. He didn't know how to comfort them for he never even comforted himself when Ruth called him a 'dick' simply. And Alec called them 'stupid bastards that didn't know what the Hell friendship was' in a very complicated way.

"This feels awkward, that the four of us are best friends that abandoned the other..." Leo murmured again, but stopped when Zena glared at him. You're not helping her look screamed. Clamming his mouth shut, Leo looked at his own lap, unbeknownst of what to say. Or maybe he shouldn't say anything at all.

"You have a unique taste," Ruth commented to Zena, "for I do not take McKay as a coward. She has proven herself brave when she tried to stop me in my state of blood lust. That, I suggest, is not an act of a coward." He had no idea why he just defended the stranger but he had nothing else to do besides glare at Leo, which was starting to bore him out.

message 344: by [deleted user] (new)

"Coffee?" Leo offered softly. "Shut up," Ruth replied with a snap.

"The weather?" Leo tried again. "That is too mundanely stupid," Ruth answered.

"Weapons?" Leo murmured, getting irritated at Ruth. "Reminds me of my thirst that your blood barely quenched," Ruth said simply, which hurt to Leo.

"Uh...Internet access in Star Bucks?" Leo bit his lip, for some reason, he was nervous with the heavy tension. "I have absolutely nothing in common with the internet. Next," Ruth said with a shrug.

"Ugh! Why don't you just shut up!" Leo snarled at Ruth who didn't even blink in reply. "I cannot resign from my duty, boy. You have not proven yourself worthy of freedom from my eyes," Ruth said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Look who's talking. I'm the one that gave you my blood, you know!" Leo growled. Ruth laughed coldly at that, "Well, apprentices do need to offer offerings to their masters." He smirked at Leo and Leo slumped back, hurt. He never knew Ruth could get as cold as that. Well, he was cold too, at times before but- But Leo thought those times were over.

Apparently not.

message 345: by [deleted user] (new)

"Kind of. There's this shop on the top floor, I changed the back room into my room. So I could handle it easier," Leo explained briefly with a slight shrug of his shoulders. He could tell Maisie was hurt by Zena's behavior, he felt the same too. He wondered if Zena was feeling the same as Ruth, both Bleeders, he guessed so.

"You?" he continued, "Where's your pack? I thought Freelancers came in pa- I mean, groups." He tried recalling the first time he saw Maisie...nope, there wasn't anyone besides Ruth or Zena who looked like they knew her...

message 346: by [deleted user] (new)

"Ditched me. From death, actually," Leo said, remembering all the blood splattering onto the sand and the blood-curdling cries that erupted in the air. "Thanks to someone here that starts with 'R' and ends with either an 'A' or 'H'." He shot a small glance at Ruth, who was looking out the window and eying a fat pigeon. He seemed calm, for someone being accused a murderer of twelve people. Ugh, Leo was disgusted. Were Bleeders really that bad?

message 347: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah, really. And I mentioned someone trying to drain me in a desert before? That, was the time that special someone killed all twelve of my companions singlehandedly. He was a pretty high ranked Programmer, that guy. Trained by the best, too," Leo murmured, leaning his elbows on the table edge. He turned to Ruth. He couldn't believe it, still. All thirteen of them. All armed thirteen of them. All well-trained and armed thirteen of them. He didn't understand. How did Ruth come out of that, unscratched?

message 348: by [deleted user] (new)

"Who do you think?" Leo told her, "Of course him. He killed all twelve of my armed and well-trained friends. He slaughtered them like they were flies, as easily and as emotionless at it too. Didn't I tell you that pipe was some mass murder weapon?" He gestured to the pipe strapped behind Ruth's back. That thing plunged through a thousand a more hearts, through the three thousand years of Ruth's existence. Glaring at Ruth, who wasn't listening, Leo tried to think why he wasn't even close to beating him. Ruth was the one who trained Leo to be a Programmer after all.

message 349: by [deleted user] (new)

((Oh, haha, I'll just leave my comment there though. A look through Leo's eyes...))

Ruth just then snapped out of watching the stupid pigeon which was waddling down the pavement. He head turned to Leo and Maisie. "Pardon me," he said, looking between them, "but I recall one of you calling out for me?" He unconsciously ran his fingers down Ryiia's side of the pipe-which was the end that faced the sky. He looked, for a second, like he never killed anyone in his life.

message 350: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yes, I am on thin ice now. I have this sudden urge to kill that pigeon," Ruth muttered as he stood up with Bleeder grace, then stalking out to the exit. Leo told the two to move on without him while he paid. So he left them with Ruth.

"You wanted to say something, I presume, McKay?" Ruth said, eyes wandering overhead, where a little kid was gaping at a new video game. Ruth awed at the excitement and happiness when the kid's parents agreed to buy him the game. Why did that remind him of someone long ago? Oh, wait. It was Johnathan Soar.

Just then, Leo exited from the coffee shop, tucking his wallet into a pocket in his shorts. "Where to now?" he asked them while Ruth pried his gaze from the kid and the games.
