"I fought. Before it became apparent how useless it usually is. Now I only fight to survive, not for pleasure," Renn said. "I miss the world. I miss school, work, family, girlfriends, and so much more," he said gloomily. "Now those things are practically nonexistent."

"As you can imagine, my parents are dead," Renn said. "The bleeder that turned me killed them," he explained. ((I was kinda hoping she'd react to girlfriend...))
"For VERY brief periods of time. A lot of them enjoyed biting... and well..." Renn joked. "I'm kidding. Yes, but then they found out I was a bleeder. Well, one didn't mind, until she found out that I didn't sparkle."
"I'm serious. She was all like, 'go outside real quick so I can show my friends!'" Renn said, laughing. "Safe to say, she looked like a total idiot."
Renn faked looking moody. "Your blood... it's hard to control myself around," he said, imitating Edward Cullen.
"Would you rather I do old style Dracula? I vant to suck you blood!" Renn exclaimed, in a fake accent.
"I mean, you can get blood from me any time, Zena," Renn said, coyly. He smiled, holding up his finger, which had already healed over, but a faint line from his thumbnail was there.
Renn sniffed, catching a scent he hadn't in a long time emanating from Zena. "Aw, don't be shy, I don't mind. I mean after all, you're sheltering me from your Simpcon buddies," Renn said, smiling.
Renn leaned closer to her. "I appreciate it," he whispered in her ear, voice dripping with honesty. "But what possessed you to do such a thing?" he asked.
"Hmm? But doesn't that make you unsafe as well?" Renn asked. His voice was naturally seductive when he was whispering, he couldn't help it.
Renn stayed silent for a moment. "I don't deserve to be called a person, Zena," he said, leaning back. "Especially not good."
"Because for three years I went into freelancer camps and slaughtered their people, mounting them on stakes," Renn revealed, grimacing. The memory pained him. "I don't deserve anything, much less your company," he said, getting up from his seat. He didn't mention that he was hired to by Simpcon.
"I study people who I perceive as possibly dangerous," Renn said. "Excuse me," he said, turning around again. He wouldn't waste her time any longer.
"I assume because Scarlet is the color of blood. But, Zera, you're young, you still can make up for it. I've been staining my hands since the day I was made a bleeder, 204 years ago. It doesn't matter whether I wanted to or not. It happened," Renn explained, but he sat down nonetheless.
Renn hugged her without warning. "The change does that," he said. "Your primal, bloodthirsty side overcomes the brain, making you enjoy death, making you love to see, smell, and spill blood," he explained, arms still wrapped around her.
"Zena. Have you been told of the year 2000 cannibalistic killings that took place in Mexico?" Renn asked, still hugging her.
"Whole cities were found with dead bodies littering them," Renn said. "They called it cannibalistic because they found me, drinking the blood of the last victim. Women, children... I... I killed them all. Not some. All."
"Not then. That was before the world went bad," Renn said, looking ashamed. "I-I had tried to starve myself. And then I lost control, and rampaged for weeks," he said, his voice wavering. He bit his lip, causing blood to run down it.
Renn sighed. "I keep thinking, that if I weren't so selfish, if I had used a gun or some quicker means, they would've lived. They'd be fine. But I was a coward," he said, biting his lip more, his blood dripping off his chin.
Renn smiled. "I don't mind," he said. "It shouldn't be wasted," he said. He only half believed that. "Go ahead."
Renn kissed her back, instinctively. He realized that she was feeding at the same time, but that didn't bother him at all.
Renn felt thirsty. "Don't be, it was... interesting. But nice," he said, pulling out a vial of blood for himself. He wasn't even thinking about drinking her blood. ((He wasn't, but I am. :D))
"Zena, are you sure?" Renn asked. "I can always retrieve a new one," he said, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. He'd have a larger appetite.
"Very well," Renn said. "Where would you like me to drink from?" he asked, not wanting to seem pushy.
Renn nodded, and leaned forward, his head beside hers. He sniffed, locating the vein exactly before biting it. He wouldn't want to miss.
Renn bit into her, as gently as possible, and began sucking on her neck, not realizing how it would look or feel.
Renn smiled, having been satisfied. He would've blushed with the PG addition, but is unable. "Oh, yeah. I was sucking on your neck," he realized.
Renn got up from his chair. "Well, where to?" he asked, not wanting to stay in a public place for too long.
Renn walked for a while, and ducked around a boulder, waiting for her. He had hideouts all over the place.
Renn smiled, and as the dust settled, he moved towards a large hole in the ground, and bowed, lumping into it.
"This is the hideout I've been using the past few days," Renn said, sitting down. He had a few belongings to a wall, a backpack, an antique sword, and some blood vials.
"I do. The sword can go in my belt. the vials in my jacket, and the backpack on my, well, back," Renn said. "So it doesn't slow me down much."
"Any time," Renn said, smiling at her. He laughed softly, hoping that he'd be safe here, at least for the moment.
"I came here to give you guys that map. I stay for however long it takes someone to find me," Renn answered. He sighed. It wouldn't be long before they did here.
"I'm helping them to get them off my back. I'm not against them," Renn replied. He already guessed ho long he had.
