Agentil | 1 comments My self help book was doing wonderfully until I had a run in with a competing author and blogger and they flamed me on Amazon. Very unfair. What can I do? Has anyone else come up against angry, aggressive book reviews like this? Amazon won't remove it. Only thing i can think to do is to get positive reviews that will neutralize the negative ones. Anyone want to do book review swap?

Diane Griffith | 40 comments YES! He has even followed me on Goodreads with a 'load of rubbish' I don't understand.... SAD!
Post the link so I can see your book and I will read and review. If you want to review one of mine I would be so grateful! The main one, which I know has mistakes, written 20 years ago but published end of 2008 Chasing Dreams in Lefkas is the one that has been 'trashed'!

CHASING DREAMS IN LEFKAS

However, it did get a lot of good reviews so some people just enjoyed the true story.:-)

Not rubbish Diane, just pointing out that you have posted incorrect information about me, you have obviously confused me with someone you do know. I have never been to Cyprus, have never met you and my wife is neither Irish or "bitchy"!

Meant to say that if you let me know what you don't understand then I will try to explain to you, this may however reveal to all that perhaps you are not quite the "wronged" person that you are trying to make out.

Jonathan (derbyj) | 15 comments Hi Diane - still no comment from you? Just to be clear, I did not follow you onto this site. I was told by a friend that there were comments about me on this site, having seen what you had written I exercised my right to reply. I can only repeat my offer - more than willing to explain any of the items you do not understand: use of multiple names from one IP address for example?

Jonathan (derbyj) | 15 comments Well Diane - you were certainly busy!
June 22nd you ask for a link to the book and within one day you have read it, used the methods, found they work and posted a 5 star review on Amazon. How absolutely amazing............

Diane Griffith | 40 comments It was 15 pages!I can read that in one hour!
It was a very helpfull book for a friend. I have also recommended a similar book by the same author. I thought I had given you the last word.

Jonathan (derbyj) | 15 comments I don't doubt that you can read 15 pages in an hour. I do doubt that within one day of asking for a link to a self-help book that anyone could get the book, read it, implement the methods, find they work and write a 5 star review on Amazon. The problems this book refers to are compulsive actions, to say the methods work within one day of asking about the book is perhaps a bit quick! It was fortunate though that not only did this help you but that within another 4 days you were able to get hold of a similar book which you passed to a friend. They managed to try all the methods, find 2 that worked and get you to post another 5 star review on Amazon, all within 5 days of requesting the original link!

Jonathan (derbyj) | 15 comments Speed reading!
Interesting that on the same day you promise to write some kind words for a fellow author that you find a friend has a copy of said book (Savage Forest) which you are able to borrow, read and post a 5 star review on Amazon - again all in one day!

"I will write a few kind words on your book... Please do the same for me! It's the only way to get back at these sad people. It's only a little cheat! :-)"

Lila Veen (lilaveen) | 1 comments I had something similar happen. I received a 4 star review for a book of mine, but it mentioned that I had a multitude of "typos and grammatical errors" which was the first red flag, since my book is pretty clean and no one else has ever mentioned in a review.

Then the reviewer said "if you like this book, a similar read is..." and promoted their own book. I clicked to read the reviewers other reviews and they were ALL promoting the same book. Hmmmm.
