Who would you save that died in Harry Potter?
Dobby and Hedwig1when I started the series i thought'ok a nice little kids book.' I didn't think the author would go off killing charactors. SO i WAS Shocked wh en Sirius died. I kept expecting him to pop up in the the fire
SERIUS BLACK: He deserves a better life being able to be free and getting to have a better relationship with Harry, after being in Azkaban for 13 years and than having to hide for 2 years in the house he hated where he was never accepted. He deserves to be happy.REMUS LUPIN: He has gone through way to much, loosing his 3 best friends, 2 dead (or sho he though, Wormtail), and one in Azkaban who betrayed him. Than he got his friend back who died 2 years later, so 2 dead best friends and Wormtail being evil. Than all he trouble of him being a werewolf. And at the end, he was finally happy, having married Tonks and she was going to have a baby. His son deserves a dad, and he and Serius could be back together as best friends.
FRED WEASLY: His death was devastating. George and his whole family were destroyed by this. He deserved to gro old with his twin brother, have girlfriends, laugh, have fun, jokes, happiness. Maybe one day even get married and have kids. He was also an amazing, awesome character who could always make me laugh. He and George are a pair, they simply need to be together.
I wish I could bring back so many more. Dobby, Dumbledore, Hedwig...Collin Creevy, Tonks, I would only bring Snape back if I could bring Lily back. Even if they wouldnt end up together because Lily had James (wich I would have to bring back too) Snapew only did all of that for Lily, so if I cant bring Lily back I wouldnt bring Snape.
I cant think of any other characters who died, but there are probably lots more I wish I could bring back.
I wouldn't change anything about the books or the fate of any character because it is part of a great story. But it is still very hard to accept that Fred and Sirius are gone.
That's a hard choice. But in the end I probably wouldn't bring anyone back. I believe that everything happens for a reason, wether it's apparent or not at the time.Actually, I just realized this also, almost everyone is counting Lupin and Tonks as one person.
Yeah I realized that too, Lupin and Tonks are two different people. And that is why I had a hard time chosing Lupin, Teddy at least needs one of his parents
VOLDEMORT
And the story goes on forever!
And the story goes on forever!
Yeah, I'd go with Fred, definitely. He could have been wounded badly and Harry still could have had that moment of realizing he needed to go on alone so as not to endanger anyone else.I'd love to say Sirius, because I cried so hard when he died... but I've come to realize his death was necessary, and without it, the story would lose some of its poignancy.
Loved Severus, too, but he needed to die in order to perfect his position as the tragic anti-hero.
So my other two would probably be Remus and Tonks... as their deaths seemed rather pointless to me (particularly after the enormous fight Harry had with Remus about leaving his son/potentially orphaning his son)
Definitely Remus & Tonks... I always loved Dora, and they didn't deserve to die. HP's story shouldn't have been repeated with Teddy.Dobby... I cried so hard that night reading it, and in the movie, and everyday since then... but he died as a free elf, just like he wanted. Sad but fair.
Fred, obviously... I still can't believe J.K. had been so cruel with all of us... and had broken apart the most perfect and hilarious twins.
This hurts, but... There's no victory without sacrifice, and all deaths, despite of how much they made us suffer, were meant to be. All of them.Period.

Remember the Goblet of Fire and what Viktor was saying about Dumbledore's partner and the terrors ..."True. I just felt so bad for what she had to go through, especially with those Muggle boys. I would have liked to save her and her family from all that heartache.
After Ariana was attacked, her father went after the boys and was put away for it. This left the Dumbledore family without a father figure, which may have been another reason for Albus taking up with Grindelwald. If Ariana had been saved before she had even been attacked, all the ensuing problems might have been avoided. Albus would still have fought for the good side. That was my thinking about saving Ariana. :)

I would save Fred, Lupin, and Hedwig
I would've saved Fred, Sirius and Dobby. None of them deserved to die, and their deaths are the ones that affected me the most.
Snape, Hedwig, and Dobby!!!!Ya gotta love Hedwig, and Dobby is so cute, it would be impossible not to save him! And Snape is just awesome.
Dobby and Hedwig. While still important characters, their being undead would not have effected Harry as much on his journey. Saving any of the people that died probably would have been a hindrance or distraction to Harry and it could have ended worse for the magical world. The people he lost made him stronger in the end and as sad as it was for us readers, it is best that JK wrote it that way.

No way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! Forever and ever!!!!!
By Maria: Fred's death was the element that ultimately separated Harry from Ron & Hermione. The moment in which Harry sees the whole family gathered around Fred's body, he realizes that he is (and should be) alone in fighting Voldemort. This is the point when he becomes aware that if he would take his friends any further, he would kill them. I think that only the death of a family member could have really stopped Ron from following Harry. That's why Fred had to die. I kinda agree. Though Fred and George are my fav. So that's why I think that Percy's death would be even more sybolic. They would have only just become friends with him again when he died. So I would have saved Fred and killed Percy instead. Also Percy was just so annoying. I would also have saved Snape if only just long enough for Harry to make amends with him. And lastly I would have saved Sirius even though he needed to die so he could help Harry grow up.
Sirius, Remus, and Tonks. For sure. I don't even have to think about it (they were my favorite characters in the whole series)
Fred, Remus, Tonks, Dobby and Sirius... and if possible, I also want to save James!! and Lily... UGH.. SO MUCH FEELS!

if I was told to choose one,it will be simple,I would save Tonks,no kid deserves to grow up without a mother...no matter how sad the other deaths are, nothing beats an orphaned Ted Lupin,so yeah Tonks and if given a 2nd chance then it would be Sirius,he had too much hardships and separation in life,he deserved better
Shouvik wrote: "if I was told to choose one,it will be simple,I would save Tonks,no kid deserves to grow up without a mother...no matter how sad the other deaths are, nothing beats an orphaned Ted Lupin,so yeah Ton..."u missed Dobby!

Lily definitely had to sacrifice herself for Harry, otherwise he would not have had the weapon to defeat Voldemort. And James would have never let his wife die without attempting to save her.
