As much as I would like to save Snape and Dumbledore, their deaths are too important parts of the story to save. Also, in Snape's case, it's part of the redemption of his character, so not to kill him off would detract from the impact of his sacrifice. The two deaths that shocked me the most in the books were Tonks and Remus. They didn't feel necessary. Then it's a straight choice, for me, between Hedwig and Sirius.

1) Sirius Black
2) Fred Weasly.
3) Tonks & Remus
...And Dobby the house-elf & Hedwig the Owl.
It would have changed the story, though.

I totally forgot that snape died.

I totally forgot that snape died."
I remembered that he died and put him on my to save list but only because of the end. Because of Lily and the doe and the memories. Because of the the blood shed to protect Harry and his cause and because of Dumbledore and the respect that I have for the man.
Once when I was eight I named my goldfish Dumbledore but because we were eight I was the only one who had read and understood that series my friends all thought that I was crazy because who names their goldfish Dumbledore. But I named him Dumbledore because of the respect that I have for Dumbledore, and at that point, I didn't really care what anyone else thought.

I can't just pick three. Fred should not have died, Harry should have been able to live with Sirius and Teddy needs his parents!! *cry*"
i so agree with you

OMG...you literally took the words out of my mouth. I agree about The Princes Tale ... so memorable and every word was like a punch in the face. I read it out loud to my kids and had to try so hard just to get through the chapter without breaking down. And George without Fred... there is something just so incredibly heartbreaking about that.
