Maggie Thom (maggiethom) | 105 comments I just finished Too Dark to Sleep by Dianne Gallagher. It is a thriller and wow. You can check out my review. It is a different main character and rather dark but really well written. I highly recommend it.

message 3: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Thanks for the recommendation. When I first looked at it I read Diana Gabaldon, and I thought when did she write another book? I thought I had read all of hers. I have not, however read Dianne Gallagher.

Love love | 16 comments Hi Maggie, is this a romance or just a thriller?

message 5: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I am going to suggest Captured Lies by Maggie Thom. It is a suspense, thriller. Really worth the effort to read it.

Maggie Thom (maggiethom) | 105 comments Noelle wrote: "Hi Maggie, is this a romance or just a thriller?"

Hi Noelle, just a thriller. Real. Gritty. Not a romance. But a very good book if you're into thrillers/suspense.

❤️ Dorsey aka Wrath Lover Reviews ❤️ If you love PRN books (Vamp) I highly recommend J.R. Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood Series or Jeaniene Frost Night Huntress Series

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Thanks Dorsey

I recommend Lingerie Wars by Janet Elizabeth Henderson. If you want a good laugh you will really want to read this one. I haven't finished it yet, but I CANNOT put it down.

message 11: by Sandra J (new)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 149 comments If you like PNR with humor and (a lot) of steam, just about anything by DanaMarie Bell works. I particularly like the Gray Court, and I'm not a fan of stories about the the fae. Dare to Believe (Gray Court, #1) by Dana Marie Bell And for something really different in PNR, there's Blood of the Maple (Maggie's Grove, #1) by Dana Marie Bell .

Janeiowa | 5009 comments I just finished Robyn Carr's latest, and I think it may be, of her books I've read, her best. I've read all of her Virgin River and a couple of her others, but this second one in her Thunder Point series is filled with believable characters who face very "real" problems. The Newcomer (Thunder Point #2) by Robyn Carr

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I just finished Lingerie Wars (Invertary, book one) by Janet Elizabeth Henderson . by Janet Elizabeth Henderson. What a HOOT!!

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I finished Tainted Waters, by our Maggie Thom. A really good read. The beginning of the book skips around a bunch, but at least for me, when I was getting frustrated it all started coming together and WHAT A GOOD BOOK! Tainted Waters by Maggie Thom

message 15: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Thanks to Dorsey, Jazz, and a few others I have started reading the Brotherhood of the Dagger series by JR Ward. It is really great!

Thank you Dee. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. There is a lot going on but it does all come together by the end of the story. I appreciate your reading it. :)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Amazing, but True, Bird Tales Amazing but True Bird Tales (Amazing But True) by Mara Bovsun

message 18: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Since reading Amazing...Bird Tales I was wondering if any of you can point me in the direction of other animal stories. This type of story really lifts my spirit.

message 19: by Kathy Anne (new)

Kathy Anne (kathyanne) | 598 comments Dee
Did you ever go to Amazon and type in Animal Stories on their search engine,I`d like to do that but I`m always afraid I`ll get a really sad one.I can`t watch much of Animal Planet because I can`t stand seeing animals hurt and they have to many with that for my taste.

message 20: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Thanks Kathy Anne, That is a good idea, no I never thought about it. I think if I look at the synopsis you can get an idea if they are sad or not. I also can't stand sad endings.

Kathy Anne (kathyanne) | 598 comments I also ordered A Sudden Light,it`s about a couple on the verge of divorce who have lost all their money and try to get Grampa to sell the huge family estate so he & his sister can start over but Gramps and the ghosts who occupy it with him say NOT.I love Ghost stories and this one does have some humor too

Untrue Colors was a really good book. Unfortunately, not all the ARC's are good. The last one I read was bad. Really, really bad. His Last Redemption My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I love the idea of A Sudden Light I will have to check it out. and I have to remember NOT to look for His Last Redemption, I love this thread. It really helps us find good books and to avoid bad ones.

message 34: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments I know Dee is a fan of Anne Stuart. I just finished her latest book Consumed by Fire by Anne Stuart . It is a continuation of her Ice series. If you have never read any of her books, don't worry, it works very well as a standalone.

My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

message 35: by Dee (last edited May 27, 2015 12:10AM) (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Thanks Anita. I do love her Ice Series. Originally, I thought the Ice series was a trilogy, but I guess not. I know I read the first three. I will look for that one. I just bought Cat's Lair Cat's Lair (Leopard People #7) by Christine Feehan . I am looking forward to that book.

❤️ Dorsey aka Wrath Lover Reviews ❤️ Anita wrote: "I know Dee is a fan of Anne Stuart. I just finished her latest book Consumed by Fire (Fire, #1) by Anne Stuart. It is a continuation of her Ice series. If you have never read any of her..."

It's actually a spin off series to her "Ice" Series. This is the first book in the "Fire" series. Great start to the series, can't wait for more!!

message 37: by Anita (last edited Aug 06, 2015 03:46PM) (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments Yeah, you are correct. I misspoke, the Fire series is more spin off than a continuation. Great books with imperfect anti-heros. I really like her books.

message 38: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I can't wait to read the fire series. I really do like her.

I do too, her hero's are a guilty pleasure!!

message 40: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments Even Anne Stuart's older works have the imperfect anti-heros. I personally love them. I just finished an oldie of hers that has been re-issued. The Houseparty The Houseparty by Anne Stuart is a Regency spy story with her sarcastic wit.

message 41: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments sounds good. I love Anne Stuart

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments I just finished the first installment Dangerous Games Dangerous Games (O’Connor & Kincaid, #1) by Tess Diamond by Tess Diamond. Great writing and riveting plot.

message 43: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (gr-nancy-a) | 799 comments Really liked: Blue Hollow Falls. It is the first in Donna Kauffman's new series. Setting: rural West Virginia & a bit of DC. Sawyer is the retired Special Forces hero and Sunny works for the US Botanical Gardens and is a thoughtful heroine. The secondary characters are excellent.

message 44: by Janeiowa (new)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments That sounds good...will put it on my list.
