"Hal..." But he was gone, and now he felt oddly numb sitting back on the grass by himself. Numb, and alone. Honestly, Clark knew he deserved it, but that didn't make him feel any better. Not in the least.
Clark didn't know what to do for a long time. Mostly he just sat there, as if moving meant he would accept that Hal left him. It was so frustrating... He didn't love Barry like he did Hal. At all.
((Lol uh, kay, I'm really nervous about starting. How do you think I should? Besides what you gave me, I know zip about these people. :P))
((Okay zen. :) I'll play the moon.))
Innocently, the glowing sphere spun on; not knowing it was to be the tool used to unleash a new plague upon the humanity it overlooked with such care.

The shards of the prison floated out into the gravity-lacking space like some revolutionary dance, slowly creeping away from eachother.
((So they like, just appear on the moon? And then go to earth?))

"The moon General," Came the flat response as she knelt down to feel the moon dust beneath her fingers. "A small body orbiting planet Earth."
"Sir." Ursa nodded once and turned to excavate the rocky scape, gracefully climbing over the small mountain behind them in search for life.
Ursa stopped at the peak and scanned across the dusty landscape, letting her eyes stretch as far as possible. There was something there...
Ursa scanned until her eyes locked onto Hal's distant form. At least she wasn't wrong. Hurrying back, she strode up to Zod and then pointed over the hill. "One life form, General. Human as far as I can tell."
Ursa nodded and disappeared back over the hill now that she had her orders. She glided next to silently up behind the human and then landed with a soft thud. "Greetings, earthman." What the hey, it was in all the movies.
She dragged him easily back over the hill and down to Zod. Ursa deposited him at the General's feet and then took a step back. "The human, General."
((Couldn't call for anything better. They need to have some relationship in order for the invasion to be of epic proportions. ;) ))
((I think the first option is slightly less conceivable than the second... So I'm going to go with emo. ;-) ))
((It's actually my bedtime... I have swimming lessons *kill me now* in two days and I need to stop waking up at ten. I haven't really been acclimating to the time very well... My cousins are coming over as well tomorrow, so I'll try and be on tomorrow when I get a chance. :P))
((Commencing-))
It was strange how noisy guilty thoughts could be, how they could nearly drive you insane with their plaguing whispers even when you're completely alone. It was something Clark had been battling with for a while now. He tried to make them go away, but they kept coming back with their poisonous, yet true, words. It was all his fault, he shouldn't have cheated... With someone like Barry ontop of it all. The guy took off the day Hal walked in on them, and he hadn't been back. Not that Clark wanted him... Not in that way. He never wanted to see him again, not with his clothes on... Because the guy looked really great with his clothes off...
Clark scowled and broke his fifteenth taco shell into powder as he attempted to yet again make one last long enough to make it past his mouth. Damn it, tacos were hard enough to eat before he had a hard time controling his strength. He couldn't think that way... The thoughts were evil and he knew it.

Clark picked up his quiet words as if they were a crack of thunder to disturb his thoughts. He turned and saw Hal, and he melted all over again. It hurt to see him so sad, even if he didn't show much of it. He opened his mouth to speak, but it took a moment to get the words out. "I... I'm not happy..." He responded, truthfully, and slowly dusted his hands free of any crushed dinner cracker.
As soon as he wasn't looking, Clark clutched his head in his hands for the sakenof frustration. "I don't know," he said quietly, and you could hear how painful his words were to say. "I don't... It just happened... If I could go back, I wouldn't do it again... I made a bad decision." He hesitated before walking over to sit a chaste distance beside him. "I'm so sorry Hal..." Resting his elbows on his knees, Clark hid his face behind his hands.
Clark just nodded, trying to keep his tears inside. "Yeah," he said quietly, dropping his hands just so he could stare at them. "I would deserve that.."
Clark didn't move as Hal shouted, and didn't flinch as he shot off into the sky. He meant it... He did deserve to be cheated on in turn. Then he wondered if he should follow, and, despite all logic, decided too. Stepping outside his house, he shot off after Hal, as always having an easy time locating him.
((*insane laughter as I run off to post replies*))
Clark found him soon enough. In fact, he nearly ran into him midair. Nearly. He caught himself before impact and instead managed to grab Hal's arm instead. "Please don't think of me like that... I wouldn't - " He paused to cough, shutting his eyes tight as they began to irritate him. "Hal, I would leave Lois for anyone... But you..." He coughed again, this time realizing it was because he was inhaling smoke.

Clark shook his head and held the crook of his arm over his mouth so he could breathe better. "Dunno," he said, glancing down beneath his feet as he felt heat rising up from the city. It was no island effect. "It's crazy..."

All at once the heat was around him. It wasn't just around him, it was inside him too. It burned as if the air itself was on fire, a sudden and all comsuming burst of inferno enveloping everything in it's scorching breath.
Then suddenly, it was gone. Clark and Hal were high enough that they only felt the heat, and didn't catch it. Clark wobbled in the air momentarily, and then looked down. It didn't hurt him; he was the man of steel for crying out loud. But it had hurt the city, that much was obvious. The plume had ceased, but the groaning remains directly below them were still being licked by evil tongues of flame, turned black and broken by the explosion.
