Clark nodded and waved him off, turning in his own direction to find a game. He'd never been too big on the games, figuring they were all rigged. Thanks to investigation with x-ray vision, Kal found that most of them were, in fact, rigged. He wandered for a while, smirking at the 'test your strength' stands, the target ranges, the darts, etc. Finally he found something worth actually taking a look at, and stuck a quarter into the slot.
((Inserting Barry into Barry-slot))
Clark had to be conscious that he didn't pick a game that involved hitting or throwing, or punching, or anything physical like that. He knew he sometimes had a hard time gadging how hard he was actually moving, so ninty-eight percent of all the games were beyond his limits. He grabbed a toy 'lazer gun' for a target game and made a face, turning it over to try and find out where the lazer came out. And, if there was such a lazer, was like his own? That was a little dangerous for a county fair game...
"Don't shoot yourself in the face," a hand reached out and gently pushed the barrel of the plastic gun away from Clark's peering eye. "There're no bullets, I checked." The boy was tall and lean, with a shock of tussled red hair and a comical smile. But slap all that onto his model's face, and he was a winner any way you looked at him.
Clark smirked just a little and glanced down at the bit of plastic in his hands. "Actually I was looking for lazers..." Feeling stupid, he turned back to Barry and smiled his best. "Sorry, I don't - "
The boy held up a hand, maybe a little closer into Clark's personal space than normal. "Shh. I'm Barry. Nice to greet you,"
"Clark." He supplied quickly. "Yeah, you too."

"So you having fun?" Barry popped a quarter into the slot and picked up his own gun, aiming for the center of the target at the other side of the stand.
Clark shrugged, watching him with interest. "Yeah kinda." He replied simply, shutting up as Barry pulled the trigger and hit the third ring. "Well I'm having a blast." The red head handed the gun to Clark as put another quarter in the machine, nodding for him to try. "You should come on the roller coaster with me; it's awesome."
Clark grinned and picked up the gun. "Roller coasters have never been my kind of thing..." He murmured, then shot. Thanks to an entire life of practicing with heatvision, Clark managed to get a bullseye. He got a bag of cotton candy as a prize and he pulled it open, offering some to Barry.
"That what is your kind of thing?" Barry inched closer, and by the way he spoke, Clark had the odd feeling he wasn't talking about rides. "Uhmmm..." Before Clark could respond, Barry grabbed a handful of cotton candy and stuffed it into his mouth quite unsensually. This made Kal smirk. Heiked this guy already. "I dunno really. I'm just... Here." Barry didn't pause before replying, "Can I be here with you?"

Clark hesitated. "Uh," He wanted to hang out with this guy, definitely. But he also didn't want to abandon Hal... Then he figured, if Hal wanted to find him, he always had the ring. He could find Clark whenever he wanted to. "Sure." He set the gun back down carefully.
Barry grinned so energetically it left Clark flustered and wondering if maybe this guy ran off a nuclear plant. "Great. Bumper cars?" He grabbed Clark's hand before he could respond and walked off at such an astounding pace Kal struggled to keep up with out flying.

The bumper cars were interesting, to say the least. Clark had never been in one before, so the issue concerning the unique way of turning the wheel mystified him for a little while and rendered him next to immobile. Fortunately for Barry, this left the Kryptonian wide open for bumping.
"That was fun, wanna try the roller coaster now?" Barry spoke as if it was going out of style, and his tongue ran so fast Clark had to focus to figure out what he was saying sometimes. It was hilarious. At the mention of roller coasters, Clark gave him a wary look and it made the other boy laugh. It was a full, carefree laugh and made Clark feel as if he had made a good decision hanging out with him. "We'll do the little one then. C'mon." He grabbed Kal's hand and dragged him off again at high speed.

And Clark liked Barry. So far, it seemed as if Barry liked him too. In fact, it seemed pretty definite Barry like him. The boy flung himself into a car and pulled Clark in after him.
The track was a simple loop and the coaster did about three rounds before the money expired. Upon disembarking, Barry sighed loudly. "Most boring roller coaster ever." He complained, waiting for Clark to catch up at the bottom of the stairs. "Yeah?" Was all he could say, raising a dark eyebrow. "Oh yeah. I can run faster than that thing." The Kryptonian smirked. Considering the energy the guy had, he wouldn't be surprised. "Sure, sure." He waved him off and started to walk away.
Barry caught up quickly, another of his childish grins plastered on his face. "No seriously. They call me the fastest man in the world." Clark didn't believe him. He rolled his eyes with a smile and nodded, glancing off into the fair grounds. "Want to know why they call me that?"
"Why?" Clark had barely finished the word before Barry had his biceps in a tight grip, lips crushed against his own at the speed of light. Oh. Well Kal had to admit that was fast.

Clark stood frozen as the kiss began to lengthen. The awful yet wonderful thing about it, was that he didn't want to pull away. It was simple, plain, nothing but a picture of what a kiss was; but that was what made it so great.
After a moment, Barry let go of him and took a step back. "Believe me now?" He asked with a cocky smile on his face.
Clark nodded slowly. "Uh yeah," he said finally. "Yeah I believe you..." Barry's smile didn't waver. "So whatcha wanna do next?" Barry jumped from the topic as if it were a hot potato. But he knew what was going to happen next in the game anyway.
"I want to do it again." This time it was Clark's turn to pull Barry into a kiss, and this time it was a bit deeper.

Barry pulled away after several moments, grinning as usual. He paused, rubbing his nose with Clark's affectionately. Then, rather abruptly, he asked, "Wanna go on the big roller coaster with me?"
Clark snickered and shook his head, kissing him again. "Nah."
Barry's face fell comically. "Awww. Please? I'll hold your hand?" Clark made an offended noise and pushed him away. "I'm not going because I'm scared!" The redhead rolled his eyes and nodded condolingly. "Sure dude. Whatever you say."
Clark sighed heavily and crossed his arms. "They're just not my kind of ride, okay?"
Barry grinned mischievously and linked arms with the alien. "Am I your kind of ride?" He murmured into his ear and then began to play with it with his teeth, kind of indiscreetly.

His phone dinged like the timer on a kiss as he pulled away from Barry to see. A flood of guilt washed over Clark and he swallowed. "Uh..."
"Uh what?" Barry stopped and raised an eyebrow. "You got to go?"
Kal nodded and put his phone back into his pocket. "Yeah, yeah I do... Sorry."
The redhead shrugged and kissed him one last time. "Don't worry. I'll find you again."
Clark just nodded and then walked out, taking off as soon as he was out of eyeshot.

Ashley ran over and stopped short in the doorway. "How was your date with your boyfriend?" It was less a question and more of a taunt.
Clark didn't know where to go... He felt like he should go over and explain to Hal, but on the other hand he was tired and explaining not only required energy, it also required a good excuse. Maybe he'd just text him...
I'm super tired babe... Just going to crash at home k? Sorry.

Ashley replied with a smirk and leaned against the doorjam. "God you're so retarded." She sighed heavily and rolled her eyes. "What happened to Carol? Why'd you dump her? Not quite as pretty as Clark?"
Thanks. See you tomorrow.
Thanks. See you tomorrow.
Ashley watched him. "That's nice." She said flatly. "So what? Didn't both of you have girlfriends before?"
"You have such a fascinating existance." Ashley rolled her eyes, a new quirk, and stalked off.
((Should we time skip?))

Clark was still sleeping as a knock came from the door. It wasn't early by any means; he was just late. His parents were already out doing field work and, thank God, let him sleep in as he was, after all, a growing alien that needed his rest. He was down the stairs and at the door in under a minute, pausing only to rub the fuzziness from his eyes.
As the door opened, Barry grinned and looked Clark up and down without shame. "Rocking the rugged batchelor look I see." He said, smirking at the other's bedhead and bare top. "Or wait - maybe not batchelor. Is that sex hair?" The boy's eyebrows went up as he glued his eyes to Clark's hair.
Clark blinked and then reached up to run fingers through his hair. "Uh, no its not... Sex hair." He said with a nervous, breathless little laugh at the end of his words. "Just got up."
Barry smiled. "Just got up? At noon?"
"Roller coasters take it out of me." Clark shrugged and opened the door a little more to let him in.
The redhead nodded and stuck his hands into his pockets as he looked around. "Uh huh... Wanna go on another roller coaster with me?"
"What?" Clark rubbed his eyes again, (something Barry found adorable), and closed the door behind them.
Barry went to work examining a trinket on the living room shelf. "Where're your parents?" He asked suddenly. Clark frowned. "Uh, in the field... Why?"
"Oh good. So what do you say? Roller coaster?"
Clark gave him a confused and exasperated look. "What? No, I'm not going back to the fair today. Look at me. I can't go anywhere right now." He studied Barry closely.
The boy laughed and set the thing down, turning to look at him. "No Clark," he said, closing the distance between them. "Not that kind of roller coaster..."

Ashley giggled a little and slipped over the back of the couch and into Hal's lap. "Kiss me like Clark." She demanded in a dramatic, breathless voice and puckered her painted lips at him.
"Ah..." Clark's blue eyes narrowed a little at Barry, suddenly conscious of how close he was. He could almost feel his breath...
Barry raised an eyebrow. "Is that a no?" Clark's response was immediate.
"No, yes, I mean... Yeah. No I'm okay with a roller coaster..." It was just a one time thing... He didn't need to think about Hal right now. He would be fine.
Barry grinned and gave him a slow kiss. "No one will walk in on us?" He asked quietly, playing with his bottom lip already.
Clark shook his head maybe a little too quickly. "No, no one." He assured him.

"You know," Ashley began stiffly as she got to her knees below him. "Carol used to tell me you were romantic. No wonder you dumped her... She was ca-razy."
"Good..." Barry put his hands on either side of Clark's chest, running them back and down his shirt until they rested on his lower waist. "Let's go then..." He probably said it since Clark was just standing there like a heavily breathing statue.
He nodded quickly, yet again, and then pulled the redhead even closer. "Yeah," Clark replied, maybe a little dimly.
His response just made Barry grin as he pushed Clark onto the sofa and then got on himself. "Wanna know another reason they call me the fastest man alive?" He asked, running his forehead down the other's chest as he adjusted.
"Roller coaster?" Came the quiet reply.
"Roller coaster."
((... not going to get too detailed... Not as much fun by myself... XD))

Ashley grinned and clambered onto the couch beside him. "Bitches be crazy man." She murmured, casually reaching out and taking the can from his hand so she could have some.
((... >:) ...))
((... >:) ...))
Ashley crossed her legs and kicked her foot out in boredom. After a kinute or so she sighed loudly and got up. "It's official," she hit the fabric of the sofa as she crossed over Hal's vision. "You have the worst taste in television ever."
((It's the Flash and Superman. This could literally go on for days. XD))
((It's the Flash and Superman. This could literally go on for days. XD))
Ashley snorted a very undignified laugh as she searched for pretzels. "Hannah Montana?" She echoed incredulously. "Pfft. Nah. I'm talking about the X-Files or Trading Spaces or something."
((I looove how 'the fastest man alive' can be turned into innuendo. It's just perfect.))
((I looove how 'the fastest man alive' can be turned into innuendo. It's just perfect.))
Ashley yawned and shrugged, leaning on the back of the couch and sipping on her juice. "Dunno... Hey," she reached down and grabbed Hal's hand. "Can I try it on?"
Ashley wasn't giving up without a fight. She put on the face that all annoying little sisters seemed to inherently own and stuck out her bottom lip. "Whyyyyy?" Came the predictable whine, and she tried to take it off his finger.
Ashley pursed her lips and cocked an eyebrow. "Uh huh. Them looks aint gonna get you nowhere Harold." She ran a finger over the symbol curiosly. "What does that mean?"
"Hal, wait - " Ashley stuck her head out the door and then grumped when she saw he had disappeared. "See you." She banged the door shut and wandered back into the house.
Barry grinned widely and kissed Clark as hard as possible on the neck. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't give the guy a hickie. "So?"
Clark smiled and moved his head up so he could meet his lips. "By far the best roller coaster ever."

((Oh God. T_T))
Barry nodded, satisfied with this answer, and got up to pull his jeans on. "Good," he said. "Glad to hear it."
Clark pulled his shirt on over his head and did up his own pants. "I honestly didn't think you would bother to actually look for me..."

Thankfully, they both had their clothes on by now (more or less). Clark's head shot up and he paled. "Oh... Hal... Listen babe I can explain this..."
Barry clenched his teeth together awkwardly. "You didn't tell me you had a boyfriend..." Clark responded to this with surprising venom. "You never asked." Then his voice softened. "Hal, please don't take this the wrong way..."

Clark trembled a little at the sight of him crying. "This... This was just a one night thing... I swear... You know I'd never leave you..."
He winced, as if the words somehow physically hurt him. Clark knew he had just screwed up big time, and he immediately wanted to make up for it. He glanced back at Barry, but no matter how hard his eyes searched, the guy had just disappeared. Suddenly he was very alone. Making sure there was indeed no one around, Clark shot off out of his window to try and find Hal and... Do something. Anything to make him see...
((Mmmmmm... I dunno... Maybe we should have one more attack. Just to see the new conflict between Clark and Hal?))
((LOL so why ask.))
Clark searched for him. He was almost in a frenzy, as if something bad would happen if he didn't find Hal right now. Clark flew along for several minutes before spotting him with his special vision. Damn it... He needed to fix this...
He tried to decend carefully, trying to aim for a graceful, quiet landing. It ended up a little less quiet and graceful and more hard and loud instead. Screw gravity and all her little forces. Stepping out of the small pit he had created, Kal stepped over to Hal hesitantly. "Hey?"

That made him paused for a moment. "Look, Hal, I'm sorry... I really am. I just... He followed me home from the fair and I guess I wasn't thinking straight. I don't love him."
Clark bit his lip hard. "Oh, man, I'm so sorry," he carefully sank to his knees beside him. "Hal, please believe me... I made a mistake."
((I know. I know. o_o
GOD Hal is making me cry. :'O ))
((I know. I know. o_o

The truth was, Barry was just really, really, hot. He hadn't given Clark any romance like Hal did, he didn't give him love love. He had just... Loved him. He wasn't more attractive than Hal, he was just different. He had just wanted... Something different just this one time. A different taste. "I..." Clark sighed heavily and looked down at the ground. "I don't know Hal. I... I'm sorry." He finished quietly.
