Has anyone seen the movie version of THE HOST yet? I haven't because THE HOST is one of my favorite books and I am a little afraid to see it because the previews make it look like the movie is mostly from the human's POV, but I hope not because the alien's POV is such a big part of the book as well, ya know?

I haven't seen it yet! It's also one of my favorite books and I feel the same.

I loved the book and I'm gunna buy the movie as soon as it comes out on dvd because even though it won't be as good as the book it will be an extension of the book that I want to experience. If that makes sense.

I have seen it, however, I haven't read the book, so I don't have much of a comparison to offer. I will say that I thought the movie was pretty well done, although there is a lot of conversations between the human and the alien inside of the human's head that can get a little bit tiresome, but they can also be funny, and it's an interesting look at the invasion of the body snatchers style genre. I rated the film an A-, if that helps any!
