Sequel?

I just read this book a few days ago and absolutely loved it! I liked where Buzo ended the novel, but I kind of want to see where these characters ended up a few years later, ya know? Any thoughts?

I actually would like to see if Amelia does visit Chris in Japan and if Chris stays in Japan after his year of working. I really would like to see Chis and Amelia together, even though the ending of the book made it extremely mysterious whether or not they would somehow end up together.

I feel indifferent about how a sequel would pick up, but to say the least I would be ecstatic about one. I would love to see Chris and Amelia finally become something, and how Penny and Scott fair. Curious as to if Chris and Amelia DID get together and his ex wanted him back, who he would choose.
Just the though of this all is exciting~

i feel this book needs a sequel, without it the book would not be as good a it potentially could. I really liked Amelia's character and i think it would be an amazing sequel if there was one. the book ending was a huge let down, i was really hoping that they would end up together. I think there is huge potential, maybe something happening along the lines of either her visiting him or when she is 21 finding the diaries he gave her and reconnecting with him. All i know is that i really want to see them together. :)

I am very confused. I read Good Oil a while back and felt it was left on a bit of a cliff hanger. And now I have bought Love and Other Perishable Items but it seems to be the same book. What is going on here?
