Elaney So, what did you think?

A. Absolutely loved it. It is definitely my favorite of Gen's tales.

Elaney Yes! I totally agree.

A. What was your favorite part?

Elaney Hmmm, that's a really tough question. I would have to say when Gen duels Costis and the Guard.

Elaney How about you?

A. That was great! It was the perfect way to end it.

Elaney I read that part over and over again once I finished.

A. Me....hmmm. I'm not sure. There were so many good parts in this one. I'll have to think about it for a minute or two.

Elaney Now I really want to go get my copy.

Elaney Take all the time you need.

A. I liked the one you mentioned, when he talks to Relius in the dungeon, and the assassin incident. (I love exciting parts.) I wouldn't classify any of those as my 'favorites,' because I like quite a few more.

Elaney I know! It's so hard to pick just one part.

A. Exactly.

Kristy Hunter Loved... loved... loved... this series and especially this book. Gen is so clever.

Elaney Especially in this book because it's not from his perspective.

A. I know, the POV really added to the book. I was pleasantly surprised.

A. Isn't he? He can be so infuriating, then lovable all at the same time. (All the while still being human!)

Elaney I love that he's not perfect. It makes it seem like he could be a real person!

A. I know. He's very well developed.

PageTurner It had so many interesting moments. One of my favourites is when Costis assumes he's guarding the king and queen at the king's chambers when the next day they both magically appear in the queen's chambers. We never did find out where their secret passageway is, did we?
