"The thing is, I can't imagine anyone that would like me. Look at me! I look like death!". ((What she looks like: http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:AN... ))

Rosemary shook her head "YOu do not look like death!" She exclaimed.
"Your right. I look like deaths wife. Really though, if you were a guy, if anyone was a guy, they'ed go after the hot cheerleaders and whatever".
"No...I really wouldn't..YOu're awesome! And look...good.." She told her
She shook her head "This is stupid! I'm pitying myself! Who does that! I'm not some stupid Aphrodite girl!" she looked at Rosemary and covered her mouth "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it that way".
Rosemary turned red. She looked down and pulled her cap down covering her face again
"No no I'm so sorry!". She brushed the hair out of Rosemary's face "You know I did t mean it that way". She smiled "I trust you".
Rosemary just stood there "I..know" she tried to trust people she just...couldn't
"Yes..." She whispered. "I'm sorry"
"Don't be". She laughed and pulled Rosemary's cap "Your making me get all mushy!". She looked at her watch. "Hey, I'm hungry, and I don't think strawberries are gonna cut it. Wanna go steal something from the dining hall?".
"SUre" She nodded. She smiled. "this should be fun" She giggled
Lucian was some where down the Strawberry Fields walking peacefully. It was beautiful there. He listened his ipod as he walked and looked across the strawberries.
Emily saw someone else in the strawberry field. He was listening to music so he wouldn't be able to hear her. She decided to get his attention a different way. She turned the strawberries a deep shade of blue.
At the corner of his eyes he saw blue. He turned to see a girl changing the color of the strawberries and smiled at her with amazement. Lucian walked towards her, "Wow, how did you do that?" he asked, he knew nothing about the place or anyone here, it was his first year.
"I'm sorry i'm new here. I came here a week ago and i don't know anything. SO what other powers, do you call it? do you have?" he asked as he took out his ear phones.
She smiled. "I can do this" she disappeared and in her place was a small rabbit with rainbow hair and rainbow eyes, just like Emily. Then the rabbit disappeared and Emily was in its place. "And this." She was hovering about a foot off the ground. "But I can't go that high." She came back down. "Who's you parent?"
"Hermes, apparently. I got a couple of things yesterday but i don't know how or why i have them," he said frustrated.
"Oh right, yeah. I read about that when i was trying to find out who exactly my father is," he said with a smile.
"I'm wondering what abilities i will get. What have you seen from other Hermes' children?" he asked.
"Well... As far as I know, Hermes kids don't get any special powers but I could be wrong." Emily knew he wouldn't get any powers. She had been here for 5 years and never once had she seen a Hermes kid do anything special. But she didn't want him to think he wasn't special.
((You know they do right?))"Oh, okay. Anyway, did you get any mysterious gifts when you first came here?" he asked.
((I don't remember them getting any powers in the book but I didn't do much research on him like I did with some other Gods.))
((They can magically break locks, enhanced thievery, they can sense traps and other demi-gods, teleport and find or create recipes for potions.))"Does it do anything?" he asked her curiously.
((Oh. I didn't know that. Sorry. That sounds helpful though.))Emily grinned. "Yup." She took it off and flipped it like a coin. It grew and by the time it landed in her hand it was no longer a ring. It was a huge staff. "I call it my 'rainbow rod'" she laughed.
((Don't apologies, you didn't know.))He laughed too, "Wow, cool. What can it do?" he asked looking at it.
"Cool," he said, "I got these shoes," he said looking down at his converse with a picture of wings on them.
He had no time to react as he started to lift off the ground, "Ah! Oh my goodness," he said looking at his shoes.
He tried to still himself and eventually stopped moving and just floated, "Oh wow, this much better," he said wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead.
Emily chuckled. "Most of the time it takes half an hour before a Hermes kid gets use to their shoes."
