He nodded, "There's no way I'm leaving you."
She gave him a smile. "And I'm not leaving you either."
He smiled, and then turned to their bickering parents, "You know, we could always pretend..." He said quietly.
"Maybe...." She bit her lip. "Worth a shot at least."
He squeezed her hand once and then let go. He turned to the two gods, and shouted to get their attention.
Lexi let out a breath, hoping this worked. "Fine." She said, arms crossed. "You win.."
Phorcys raised an eyebrow, "Oh?" Nyx stared at her daughter.
"Not like we can really argue with you can we..."
Phorcys smirked, "See Nyx? I told you they'd listen to reason." Shark just rolled his eyes.
Lexi resisted the urge to glare at him. Why was her mom picking on her with this? Why not any of her othe siblings....
Nyx sighed, "Well, I suppose our work here is done then." She looked between the two of them, "I've got my eye on you."
She rolled her eyes. "Whatever mom."
Nyx pursed her lips, and then vanished into the shadows. Phorcys seeped back into the lake.
She glanced at Shark. "So how are we going to do this?"
He shrugged, "I guess we just don't meet out in the open anymore?"
"Yeah...."She sighed. "I really hate my mom right now...."
"I'm not so happy with my dad." He muttered.
"Why do you think they're so against us? They didn't really give a straight answer...."
