she laughs "your kidding right? that's like the coolest thing ever!" she says smiling at him with a look in her eyes saying 'you must be crazy'

"Well, maybe a little. I can't really do all the things Poseidon kids can do. But I can control waves and turn fresh water into salt water."
"Still that's pretty cool!" she says smiling
"I guess. Though you have cool powers too."
she shrugs "Not really i can only jinx people... and myself... and screw things up"
"Well, the jinxing people thing is good," he offered. "You just need to learn to control it."
"I guess" she says shrugging smiling avoiding looking into his eyes knowing she'd get lost
"No, really that's be so cool. And helpful in battles and stuff. You could just be like, don't knock yourself out and boom!"
she laughs "I guess you are right" she says smiling at him
"Yeah, I'm right! You gotta start believing yourself more."
she shrugs she had never been one of high self confidence
"What were we talking about?" he asked, searching around for a ripe strawberry. "Most of my conversations tend to get sidetracked like that."
she laughs and says "I'm not entirely sure" she smiles at him
"Okay, so let's talk about something new. Any suggestions?"
"hmm... i don't know" she says thinking
"Alright then, random question time. What did you want to grow up to be when you were younger?"
"A zoo keeper" she says laughing a little "with my luck the lion would eat me" she says laughing
He laughed along with her. "When I was like three I wanted to be a zookeeper, but then my step mom explained how it involves shoveling poop and I was over it."
she laughs at his statement and shrugs "it wouldn't be that bad" she says laughing a little more
"it's still a very respectable job," he agreed. "You get free admission to the zoo and they sell peanuts and balloon animals. It's a interesting life style."
she laughs "i guess. but that was when i was little" she smiles
"So what do you want to be now?" he asked, looking over at her.
"A living breathing half blood" she says smiling at him
He snorted. "That's a very good idea. I guess we all aspire to be that."
she laughs "Amen!" she says laying on her back looking up at him
"So there's nothing you want to be in the future?" he asked. "Nothing you want to happen?"
"I guess i'd like to have a family one day... but it probably won't happen... it doesn't happen to many half-bloods" she says sighing
"Well, my dad managed to pull it off. And he was a son of Poseidon," he explained. "That kinda gives me hope that one day I can do what he did. Live in the real world. Start a family."
"it would defiantly, what i want to be when i grow up." she says smiling up at the sky, she knew in her gut she'd never be able to. not when her dad is the god of misfortune. bad luck.
"I think I'm gonna try going home during the school year," he admitted. "Or maybe every other summer. Just to be out in the real world again. Test it out, see how safe it is."
she looks up at him in shock "wow... that's brave... i'd never have the courage to go home.." she says smiling encouragingly at him "you should"
"I think I will," he mused. "But I'm not sure when, or for how long. I really love it here and I can't think of leaving right now or anytime soon." He started thinking about Lark, and also Lexi, his two best friends at camp. He looked over Lace.
she smiled and says looking up at him meeting his eyes "i'd hope not to have my only friend leave so soon" she jokes smiling
"Don't worry he won't," he assured her. "And I promise that if I ever do decide to go home for a while, you'll have met Lark and Lexi, who will take good care of you while I'm gone."
"That way you don't have to worry about being alone or having no friends," he explain. "And Lexi's a daughter of Apollo, which'll help with how accident prone you are."
she laughs smiling "That will definitely come in handy" she says. she thought about what would happen when he left. or when he and Lark got together how much she'd have to hide, but that definitely wasn't new she let out a small breath. smiling up at him
He smiled. "But, let's not think about what might happen when or if I leave. I dunno if I can ever leave this place anyways."
she smiles and says "it'd be awesome for you to hand around" she says smiling then adds "Though you should leave if that's what you want to do"
"Ugh, I have no clue what I want to do," he groaned, but smiled anyways. "I just want to relax, and surf, and hang out with my amazing friends."
"Then for the time being do that" she says smiling softly up at him
"I plan to," he said grinning. "Strawberry?" he asked offering her one.
"Please" she says reaching out to take the strawberry from him
He sighed, laying back on the dirt. He didn't say anything for a while, just stared at the sky, deep in thought.
she ate the strawberry and picked a dandelion and laughs a little as she put it in his hair smiling a little before laying beside him
It took him a second to notice the flower in his hair. "Thank you," he said sarcastically. "I feel it bringing out my masculinity."
"Oh yes and your eyes it makes them" she makes a popping sound "Pop" she says laughing a little and she leans over picking more flowers tying them together starting to make a crown laughing a little as she did it
