River, though a bit taken aback, decided not to push it and dropped his hand.

Cora smiled. "Thank you." She said, taking the hand he dropped in hers. "Since you seem disappointed I can assure you there will be more dates."
River smiled slightly at this. "I see..."

Cora decided to tell the truth. "I'd be.. sad."
"Well, then," River grinned proudly, "Good thing my answer is yes."

Cora smiled. "So.. what now?" She asked.((Haha okay.))
Cora caught it in her hand and ate it. She tossed a strawberry at River.
River caught it behind his back and chucked two her way.
Cora spun twice and caught both in each hand. She threw three to him.
He caught one in his mouth and another in his right hand, but the third splattered against his chest. He threw a dozen toward Cora.

River laughed, even as a boat load of strawberries painted his shirt. He got an arm full and began to throw them one by one, like snowballs.
Cora laughed and ran to take cover behind a bush. Her dress ruined but she didn't mind.
River ran around the bush, only to be met my an ambush of the red fruits flying at him like bullets. He threw some back at Cora, backing away a little.
Cora laughed as the strawberries hit her as she ran after River.
River smirked and ducked as one of her strawberries flew over his head.
Cora stopped. "Oh no!" She was out of strawberries.
River grinned and tossed a single strawberry over and over in his hand.
Cora covered her face with her arms but was to late. A strawberry hit her cheek and forehead. "Ah! River!"
Cora picked up two strawberries from the ground and threw them at him.
River caught one of them in his free hand. Hmm... he thought Not exactly how dates tend to turn out...

Cora sighed and walked over to him. She stood by his side and looked down at her dress. "That.. was fun."

River smeared one more strawberry against her forehead for good measure, grinning.
Cora jaw dropped. "River!" She said, wiping the berry off her face and wiped it on his cheek.
River's face twisted into a smirk. "Cora!" he mocked.
Cora smiled. "Don't mock me!" She said.
River laughed and put an arm around her waist.
Cora gently rested her head on his shoulder. "This date was definitely special."
"I hope that's a good thing..." River said softly, "Good luck explaining your dress to your soon to be mortified sisters."
