((Ok, Cat is 15, so I'll bring her))Catalina walked into the strawberry field. She was feeling very bored and didn't know where to go.
Arien stared at all the strawberry's surrounding her. There was so many! And they were all plump and red, ready to be picked!
Cat sat down randomly in the middle of a row of strawberries, picked one, and ate it. She waved at another girl picking strawberries.
((Catalina is a daughter of Selene, has long, silver (like actually silver) hair in a braid, pale, blue eyes))
Arien waved back at the girl and worked her way over to her, smiling as she popped yet another strawberry into her mouth. "I'm Arien"
Cat tried to wave the girl over. "You're too far away! I can't hear you!" She turned to Arien. "I'm Catalina. Call me Cat though."
"Catalina is such a pretty name!" Arien exclaimed. She turned in the direction she saw the other girl. "COME CLOSER! WE CAN'T HEAR YOU!"
"Thanks! I really like Arien too. I haven't heard it before." She turned to the girl who had just run up. "I'm Catalina. Who are you?"((Tye is a girl, I think))
"Here I'll help you!" Arien dropped to the ground and began scooping up strawberries. She dropped them back into the girl's basket.
((*flings open doors* I'm back!))Cat gestured around them. "There are plenty more, so it's not tragedy!"
"Oh! Sorry. I guess they're all dirty now...." Arien felt herself turn red. Why did she always have to embarrass herself?!
"I'm in the Khione cabin. I've only met one other person who's a Khione like me! I guess he's my half brother...I can't tell you how thankful I was to have someone other than my mortal father to be part of my family...." Arien trailed off and stared into the distance. How different things might have been if only her mother hadn't just left her with her father!
Cat nodded. "I'm from Selene. It's easy going, but I don't get cool powers like control over snow and magic. Oh, and I know another girl from Khione. Her name's Fior."
"Fior?! But I met her! I mean, I was training in the arena and she was training too. I never asked her who her godly parent was!" Arien was beginning to grow more and more excited. She felt her fingers begin to buzz.
Cat nodded. "I just got here maybe a month ago, after my f-" She took a deep breath. "Father died from cancer. I lived all over Europe until now."
How could these girls have such sad stories! Arien wondered in dismay. "I've been homeschooled my whole life. I've never had the chance to make any friends so I ended up growing really close to my father. I..I miss him a lot"
Andra wrote: ""Oh, you met her? She's a very good friend of mine." Cat smiled.""She is? That's awesome! During training she was wheezing a lot but she kept saying she was fine..."

"Yeah.." Cat looked sad. "She was put in a coma after being stabbed multiple times, and it's been hard for her ever since."
"I think the only reason I've had an okay childhood is because of this necklace my mom gave my dad to give to me." Arien pulled out the sparkling snowflake necklace from her pocked. She always kept with her.
"Apparently it kept my powers dormant. I pretty much led a completely normal life. Monsters never came after me and I could use electronics....I wore this thing everyday because my dad told me Khione wanted me to. I don't know...it was like evidence that she actually cared about me. Anyways one day I accidentally cracked it. See you can see the crack right here." Arien put her finger close to where the crack was on the snowflake. "After that everything changed. The necklace didn't work anymore."
((np!))"That's really cool. So you knew, but the monsters couldn't bother you? I didn't know until right before my-" Cat stopped talking so that she didn't burst into tears.
((What does np mean?))Arien was oblivious to the sudden emotion Cat felt. She was lost in her own thoughts.
"No! That's the thing, I didn't know! My dad has always been really overprotective of me. He didn't want me to live in fear of the day monsters would finally come so he never told me. He didn't tell me until I saw my first monster. After that he immediately sent me off to go to here. He kept saying how it was the only safe place for me now."
((np=no problem))"It's just...I still miss my dad...and I won't see him again." Cat pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them.
Arien stood there helplessly, unsure of what to do. But then the right words seemed to just pop into her mind. Hopefully they would be able to cheer Cat up."Cat, you know that as long as you remember your dad he's always going to be with you here, in your heart" Arien put a hand over her own heart to emphasize her point.
Cat smiled, a little shakily, at Arien. "Thanks." She stood. "Where do you wanna go?" She asked Tye.
