Strawberry Fields
((Are we going in a order or no?))

What the hell is wrong with this kid. "Um kid u don't think so because you talking in nonsense" Sydney rolled her eyes. She wanted time only but no. She wasn't able to have any. "I'm gonna talk to this lady over here. I'm sure she talks in English" She ran over to Jasmine and waved "Hey. How is it going?"
"See? You have to miss the strawberries at least," said Bennett to Brooke optimistically. "No one can make strawberries grow like your grandpa. Las Vegas doesn't have strawberries as ripe and delicious as this." His friend had just returned from a quest that stretched out for a year. Only a few days for her had been a year for everyone else.

"Woah!" The momentum knocked Bennett over onto the ground so that he was sprawled on the ground with one foot in the basket of red berry mush. Bennett looked up at his friend and the boy that had bumped into him. "Anyone for some freshly smooshed, strawberry jam?" he asked, grimacing a little. Brooke chuckled.

"Funny coming from you, because you were the one that was running," said Brooke, crossing her arms over her chest. "We were picking strawberries." Bennett glanced between the two of them, recognising that his friend was about to start a fight on his behalf. He picked himself up. "Don't worry about it, Knox," he said Brooke, touching her on the arm reassuringly. "I don't mind apologizing." Turning to the boy, he offered him a kind smile. "I'm sorry. Are you hurt at all?"

Bennett chuckled lightly. "It's okay," he said. Brooke raised her eyebrows at the sudden apology. "Could have said that to begin with," she muttered under her breath.
"Bennett, son of Eros," Bennett replied, offering his hand in introduction. He rested a hand on Brooke's arm. "And this is my friend Brooke, daughter of Pan."

Bennett laughed good-naturedly. "It is nice to meet you too," he said. He glanced him over, trying to be discreet. What could he say? The guy had a great body structure. Brooke looked between the two, not oblivious to the atmosphere. "You know," she said, smirking a little, "It should be weird when a guy is attracted to someone who could be the son of your ancestor." The words were in reference to Bennett's family roots and Ares.

Bennett chuckled, not really bothered by Brooke's remark. "I guess she means about my godly ancestors," he said. "Supposedly, I have demigod blood as far back as the mid-1800s. One of my ancestors- a daughter of Hermes- was a spy and soldier in the Civil War, which was how she met Ares."
"In other words, Bennett is your great-great-great-great-great-nephew," said Brooke helpfully.

Brooke sighed and shook her head at Andrew. She probably should have remembered that her friend was one of the worst people to cheer her up while she was feeling down- at least when there was another person besides her around. Her idea of having a good time did not really consist of watching two guys flirt and check each other out. The thought made her feel a little jealous that Bennett and this Ares guy were evidently interested in each other and yet the one person she was interested in had already moved on. "You know what?" she said to Bennett. "I think I will hold off on those strawberries."
"You sure?" Bennett asked, looking at her with a little concern. When she answered the affirmative, he nodded. "Alright," he said. "I guess I will see you at the party. Make sure you wear your nicest dress and your best smile." He watched her walk for a moment. "Poor girl," he mumbled sympathetically.

Bennett raised an eyebrow at him. "She isn't interested in me in that way, if that is what you are thinking," he said. "She went missing during a quest for about a year. Must be tough to be away for a bit and find that everything you knew had changed."

Bennett's cheeks grew warm at the concern he seemed to show. "Yes, I suppose it would," he agreed. Trying to laugh it off, he said, "Well, I don't see any danger. Unless you count being in danger of having good company."
"Oh?" Bennett asked, raising his eyebrows. "Well, I think it depends on my own definition of good. I think anyone can be good company if they choose to be."

Andrew glanced up at him and bit his lip lightly for a second. "And what if I don't want to be 'good'?" He said, crossing his arms.

Bennett smiled to himself and picked another couple strawberries. "Well, I guess you should probably revise that statement," he said. "I don't mind talking to you."
Bennett offered him a smirk. "I hope you don't mind," he said. His gaze lingered on his lips briefly. He had the sudden desire to bridge the distance between them, but he pushed it away, thinking that his companion would not appreciate it after only knowing for about twenty minutes tops.

Bennett held back a laugh when he noticed Andrew looking him over. "You like what you see?" he asked, a little teasing.
Bennett smiled to himself. He was kind of cute when he was embarrassed. "Don't worry about it," he said, leaning in to peck him on the cheek. "You are not the only one who likes what he sees." A smirk played on his lips.
His smile widened. "Anytime," Bennett said. He picked one strawberry and took a bite of the sweet, red berry.
"I like how tough and quiet you are," said Bennett, smirking slightly. His eyes met his. "Kind of makes you seem hot in that terse soldier boy kind of way." He looked him over. "Other than that, I don't know. I wouldn't mind finding out what else I like about you though," he said.
Bennett offered him a handsome half smile. "Well, we don't have to talk if you don't want to too," he said, leaning in closer. His eyes fell on Andrew's lips.
jasmine picked a strawberry and popped it in her mouth.the flavours burst in her mouth and she smiled.
