((Hey. It seems that the lake keeps becoming busy. Do you want to roleplay Pyper and Thursday somewhere else?))
Jehan wasn't necessarily the person a lot of people wished to talk to. It wasn't because they were scary looking or overall mean, in reality they were the exact opposite of that, but it was more the fact that they gave off an odd vibe. Whether it was good or bad not many could tell, but it was enough to keep most people from going up to them. They had been walking without destination when they found themselves going down one of the rows of strawberries. Almost as if being snapped out of a trance, they picked one of the sweet smelling berries and took a bite. The calm around them was soothing, making Jehan feel safe and at home. Not watching where they were going, the teen tripped over their own two feet.
Elise walked among the produce. She was using her powers as a daughter of Prometheus to move and shift the earth to keep the soil rich and perfect. Of course, it didn't hurt that she could nibble some of the berries. They were about as big as her fist.
Brenna smiled and started to walk along the rows of strawberries. She didn't know much about gardening, but she was amazed that the strawberries could grow this big, all year round. She took in a deep breath and took in all of the smells of the fields.
Elise chewed on one berry, strolling through the rows. She glanced over at Brenna, wondering if the girl was a Demeter child helping the berries grow. "Hello," she called.
Brenna waved at the girl. "Hi! What are you doing out here?" Brenna called out to her. She started to walk towards her, hoping to have a nice conversation. What good were the fields of you didn't have anyone to share them with?
Elise smiled. Aerating the soil," she answered, finishing the berry and discarding the rind. "It helps the plants grow. What about you?"
"Enjoying the fields," Brenna said. She picked off a strawberry and too a bite into it. Brenna held out her hand, "I'm Brenna Taylo, daughter of Aphrodite. It's nice to meet you."
"Elise Allweather, nice to meet you too." She smiled kindly and shook the girl's hand. "It's really hot."
Brenna shrugged, she was used to the heat. She had grown up in Reno, there she had gotten used to the heat. "It feels fine to me. So what are you doing out here?" Brenna asked.
"And how exactly are you doing that? Don't you need to get your hands in the dirt for that?" Brenna asked. Yet again, she wasn't an expert gardener, but she was pretty sure you couldn't mix around soil while standing up doing nothing.
"Oh, um... I'm a daughter of Prometheus. The guy who made humans out of dirt? That's kinda... Um. Why I'm an earthbender, sort of."
Brenna took a step back, "Are you, like made out of clay?" Brenna, like a typical Aphrodite kid, didn't like to get messy. Even if the girl want made of dirt, she still wiped her hands on her jeans.
She chuckled. "No, of course not. I'm part human, after all. Though... Technically, we're all part dirt, if you think about it," she chuckled crossing her arms.
Brenna made a disgusted face. "Well," she said, "I do suppose you're right. Do you come to help the strawberries often?" Brenna brushed a bit of hair behind her ear. She wasn't close with any of the Prometheus kids, but Elise seemed nice.
Elise shrugged. "Mainly to eat them and insist that I'm being helpful," she smirked, winking. "You... don't like dirt, I'm guessing, by the face you made."
Brenna nodded, "I think it's just an Aphrodite kid thing. And it could also be the fact that when I was younger my sister filled my ear with dirt." She pointed to her left ear.
"Ew," she chuckled. "I heal people by coating their wounds in earth and using my bodily fluids to make a clay."
Brenna laughed, "All I can do is make my hair straight or curly." She demonstrated this by touching her head, and suddenly her hair started to curl. "See," She said, "Nothing too interesting."
"Sure!" She reached he hand out, and Elise's hair started to curl. Brenna took her hand back, "It should go back to normal in around eight hours, but if you want to change it back early, just find me." Brenna said as she smiled warmly.
Elise started laughing. "No way! That is the coolest power ever! I mean, their loose -they're way cool. Man... I mean, now I wish I could show off for you. Want a demonstration?"
Elise smiled. "Any suggestions? I'm like a half avatar. Fire and water. You know... Fire thief too."
Brenna thought for a moment, "Umm, what about lifting up a plant off of the ground? Like with the roots still in the earth and stuff." Brenna wasn't the most creative person, but still, taking something out of the ground would be a pretty impressive feat.
She shrugged, raising a hand. A plant behind it lifted out of the ground, a pillar of earth held together magically.
Brenna's mouth dropped to the ground. "Madre de Dios!" Brenna exclaimed. Her powers paled in comparison to that of Elise's. She regained her composure and said, "That was really cool!"((Means Mother of God))
Elise chuckled. "Ha, it's all okay, Brenna, really. Powers aren't really anything." She replaced the plant and chuckled.
((Yeah, I know. XD))
((Yeah, I know. XD))
Brenna ran her fingers through her hair, "So, how long have you been at camp?" She asked. Brenna was pretty sure she ad seen Elise some time before, but with everyone at camp it was hard to keep track of who you saw where.
Elise smiled. "Well... Years, actually." Elise was Ilsa's first character, meaning that Ilsa had put her through the most crud imaginable. "I need to think back to see just how long ago..."
Brenna nodded, "Time seems to fly when you're constantly training among half-gods." She adjusted the hilt on her leg for emphasis.
"Ha... Not really," she pursed her lips, making a face. "I'm actually one of the older half bloods, I suppose," she sighed. "I mean, I'm half titan. I wonder if that has much to do with it."
She shrugged. "I wouldn't know. Well, I've been here three years also. It's surprising we haven't run into each other before this!" Brenna said. In all honesty, it wasn't that much of a surprise. Brenna spent so much time with her siblings, helping them out, she barely had time for herself. Today was one of the few times she could relax. Well, at least until another fire started that she would have to put out.
