Kendra ..."
Zac shook Kendra's hand, nodding. "So, Ken-", he said, smirking slightly. "Judging from that song, I'm going to guess Apollo's cabin", he tried, looking at her for confirmation.

"Always seems to be the natural conclusion," Kendra replied, laughing. "But for all anymore knows I might be one of Baubo or the Muses' kids. Not too many Apollo kids with dark skin."
Kendra smiled and nodded. "Yes, my dad is Apollo and my mom is a music teacher. She has a gorgeous voice, which I caught my dad's ear," she replied. She propped her guitar back on her knee and strummed a chord. "So what about you, sweets? Who is your old man- or woman?"
"Elpis, goddess of hope", he said, glancing at her. He bit into another strawberry, smiling at the sweetness.

Looking at her for a while "You know i havent smiled this much in my entire life but with you that is all I seem to do"

Kendra's smile widened a little. He's kinda cute when he smiles, she thought to herself. "Does that mean you are a hopeful type of person? The type that never gives up on a soul fallen astray?" she said.

Zac shrugged. "I suppose", he said, not really sure what she was getting at. "But I mean, everyone's hopeful in some way", he added.
"I guess," Kendra replied, returning her attention to her guitar. "Not everyone heals though." The last part was spoken with a small sigh as she thought of people in her care before.
"That sounds like it's from experience", he said, looking at her softly. "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked. "Or we could just change the subject", he then offered, smiling slightly.
A smile made its way across her face as she looked up at him. "Only from my experience as a healer," she said, realizing that she had given him the wrong impression.
"Yeah," Kendra said with a smile. Her expression grew thoughtful for a moment. Was it possible...? There were so many campers that came into the infirmary with injuries. Naturally, she forgot some of the names of those who came in and out of the infirmary. "You haven't been feeling sick recently, have you, honey?" she asked with some genuine concern apparent in the crease in her forehead. The idea of him in the infirmary distressed her more than she expected it to.
"That's it!" he exclaimed. "You were the healer in the infirmary when I brought Ray in", he explained, grinning. "I knew I recognized you".
Kendra laughed in response. "Ray as in the guy my half-sister Skyler has been swooning over?" she said. Her long-lashed, dark eyes narrowed a little as she smirked a little. "You are the guy that was in a hurry to leave."
"Yeah, Ray as in my best friend, and the guy who has been swooning over your half-sister", Zac confirmed, chuckling slightly. "I guess I kind of don't like being confined for long", he admitted, shrugging.
Kendra laughed at the first part of the response. "That makes sense," she replied. "Although it would have been gentlemanly of you if you hadn't decided to tease me behind my back to keep yourself busy." Her voice was playfully accusing.
"I did no such thing", Zac defended, his actions very over the top. He tried to keep the smile off his face, but ended up failing miserably.
