((Sorry I gotta go I think I just broke my ankle.. T-T))
Kendra was sitting in the strawberry fields with her guitar on her crossed legs. From time to time, she picked up a sweet, ripe berry from the basket beside her and popped it into her mouth. While gazing at a strawberry, a thoughtful expression came across her face and she plucked the guitar strings for the first chords. After a couple measures of notes, she opened her lips and sang:
"When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?
And, darling, I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Well, me- I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am
So, honey, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are
When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don't remember my name
When my hands don't play the strings the same way mmm..
I know you will love still love me the same
'Cause, honey, your soul could never grow old, it's evergreen
And, baby, your smile's forever in my mind and memory
I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it's all part of a plan
Well, I'll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you'll understand
That, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
Thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are, oh, oh
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, lo-ud
So, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Oh, darling, place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
But maybe we found love right where we are
Oh, baby, we found love right where we are
And we found love right where we are."

At the end of the lyrics, Kendra played another couple chords that created a soft vibration in the air. She settled the guitar in her lap and reached into the basket for another strawberry.
Zac walked up behind the girl, stopping beside her. "Hi", he said quietly, trying not to frighten her.
Kendra slowly turned to look at the boy. "Hello," she said, a little curiously. His face was familiar, but she could her quite place her finger on how she knew him.
"Hi", he said, smiling. He recognized the girl, and just assumed he'd seen her around at some point. It was probably nothing more than that.
"You already said that," Kendra said, laughing. After a brief pause, she said, "Want some strawberries, sweets? They are pretty ripe despite the season." She lifted the basket for him to take a few.
Zac chuckled, a blush spreading to his cheeks. "Sure", he answered, grabbing a few strawberries, he bit into one, and smiled. "Yeah, they're pretty good", he said.
Kendra's smile widened. "So, honey, are you going to stand there, munch on 'em, and run off or are you going to sit down and stay awhile?" she blurted out. Her cheeks grew warm at her own impulsive words.
((I have to go after this too. I have an appointment with my lunch and another with the therapist.))

"I'll sit, if you don't mind", Zac told her, not wanting to interrupt anything. He wanted to tell her that he liked the song she was playing, but he wasn't sure how.

Kendra smiled and set the basket of strawberries down between them. "Go ahead," she said gesturing to the ground. "So what brings you here...?" She furrowed her eyebrows as she tried to remember his name.

"Zac", he said, smiling. "I was just walking through, going nowhere in particular", he admitted, taking a seat beside her.

The name did not seem to jog her memory either. "Do you usually walk to nowhere in particular?" Kendra said, smiling back at him. She picked up another strawberry and chewed on the ripe berry.
Zac chuckled. "I do seem to quite regularly these days", he joked. "Sorry, and you are?" he then asked, turning to face her.
