((Ok. I'm back. I'm so sorry I left for so long. :-P Anyway, I read your comments, and all I can think is poor Sean. Poor Sean. Poor Sean. XD))
Sean looked down at the bracelet and waved it away dismissively. "Keep it. We have more important things to think about right now." he glared around. "Like who cursed us."
Addy was invisibly watching from the tree. Unknown to her, the ring had a limited amount of invisibility time, which she'd just used up, and it needed to recharge. It blipped and she became visible.
((Sorry I have to go. Talk to you tomorrow.))
"I told you, it was Adelaide. You won't be able to catch her. She has a ring that makes her invisible..." Sienna told him hopelessly, "She's-" She suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure silhouetted up in a tree nearby. It was Adelaide. "She's right there!" she exclaimed, pointing over Sean's shoulder and running to the base of the tree. She wanted payback.
Addy jumped out of her skin, almost. She was visible?! Instantly, she shot to the highest, thinnest branches, not particularly heavy or large. She hoped Sienna wouldn't be able to reach her. "Stupid ring!"
Sienna stood at the base of the tree, glaring up at the sliver of Adelaide's sleeve she could still see through all the branches. Oh, how she wanted to punch her right off of her stupid perch, watch her fall to the ground... Sienna forced herself to calm down. That would be stupid. For one thing, she could barely climb a ladder without falling, so this tall maple seemed out of the question. For another, she had never punched anybody, and she knew it probably wouldn't hurt much coming from her, anyway.
But Addy was cruel. She'd been watching them, laughing, most likely, the entire time, she was sure of it, had forced Sean to breathe from the scarf. Poor Sean... He hadn't deserved any of it. If only he hadn't tried to help her near the strawberry bushes... Then he would never have been dragged into it.
"Is that the girl?" Sean stood next to Sienna and looked up at a girl in the tree. Sienna nodded, and Sean smiled. "Your in some trouble, Missy!" he shouted up at her, and started to climb the tree. He was quite swift at it, and had been right next to the criminal in a matter of seconds. He grabbed her by the elbow and started dragging her down the tree and dropped her next to Sienna from about 5 feet off the ground.
Addy tried to look worried, but she instead burst out laughing. She could fight them. She could be awesome. She'd been here over an entire year. With that smirk on her face, she folded her arms and legs and looked up, despite being scratched by the tree, and smiled right up at Sienna and Sean, keeping back a fit of giggles.
Sienna clenched her jaw tightly. She knew that if she tried to speak, or even open her mouth, really, she would just end up in angry tears, and that would be even more embarrassing.
Addy was a daughter of Ares, and not very sensitive. "It was funny," she pointed out, confused at their anger.
"Really? Its funny to be bewitched into feelings that aren't yours?" Sean said coldly, crossing his arms after he jumped down from the tree.
"But why did you do it to us? I bet the Aphrodite kids would love to be forced into love."
"Well, I'm gonna find out." Sean dropped down and grabbed a handful of dirt, and threw it directly at her eyes. While she was blinded, he ran behind her and grabbed her arms behind her back in such a position she couldn't move without crying out in pain.
She went limp, but coughed at the dust in her eyes. "Jeez, man, you couldn't have gone for a better position?"
"Nope." he grinned. "Now, where is the scarf?"
She smiled. "I'm a daughter of Ares. I can withstand pain and interrogation. You're getting nowhere."
Sienna, whose anger had been building up steadily during their exchange, lashed out suddenly, her fist connecting with Addy's jaw. She knew Addy would react with some supernatural Ares power or something, like grabbing her hand in midair and beating her up, but she had really, really wanted to punch her, even if it didn't hurt her at all.
Addy did nothing, other than let herself accept the punch. She grunted, but smiled, blood dribbling down her chin. "Nice punch." she spat excess blood from her mouth.
Sienna stepped back a little bit, breathing heavily and examining her knuckles. She knew Addy wasn't being serious, but she nodded anyway. "Thanks," she said shortly.
Addy was totally serious, and contrary to most Ares kids, she got a kick out of fighting fairly, not being bullied or bullying. She loved pranks, but hated causing pain. And that sucked because she wouldn't mind taking a punch to leave her attacker unharmed.
Jacqueline walked through the strawberry fields with a skip in her step as she hummed a song twirling her light pink dress.
Stephan was crouched down in one of the aisles, looking at the strawberries. He was going to attempt to make some strawberry shortcakes later, so he was picking some strawberries for it.
Jacqueline saw a boy and raised her eyes. When was the last time she had been asked out? two months. "Mmmm....Thats calls for a celebration." She said clapping her hand grinning. He was bending down looking at the strawberries. "Watcha doing?" she asked.
Stephan looked up at her and smiled. He stood up and looked at his basket of strawberries. "I am picki strawberries do I can attempt to make strawberry s hortcakes." He looked back up at her.
She nodded and smiled. "Strawberry shortcake? Any occasion for that?" She said tilting her head.
"Nope. Just feel like making them. I have nothing else to do." He shrugged. "Why? You have something to celebrate?" He asked curiously.
"Another day alive i guess." She grinned.
"True, true." He laughed a little. "Wanna help?" He asked her politely. He was one of those people who was nice to everyone. "Im Stephan by the way, son if dionysus."
"Sure, id love to!" she said, her grin widening. "Jacqueline Zafaria, daughter of hemera. Please to make your accquiantance, Stephan." She said in a horrible British accent and curtsying teasingly.
"Okay!" He said happily and bowed also. "Its nice to meet you too." He smiled. "Im pretty much done here. Just need to go to the kitchen to make it"
She laughed lightly and nodded, "Alright then. lead the way, then."
He grinned and nod. "Okay. Just follow me then." He laughed a little and started to walk. ((Should we just go to the dining pavillion for the kitchen?))
((sure. can you post first?))
She followed after him blushin a little.
