Felix laughed,"I don't think that. I think I'm pretty devious though."

Tia, however, took that as a challenge. She raised an eyebrow. "Devious, huh? What have you done?" She challenged him.
Felix grinned,"I've messed with hades in the underworld, changed clarisse's spear into a water noodle, changed Seymour into a dog, pranked lots of campers.."
"I've gambled, shot somebody, stole about, oh, 75 thousand dollars, and haven't been caught for any of them." A brief, very rare smile flickered across Tia's face. "Oh, and I should mention, the shooting thing was self defense."
Felix laughed,"one devious person to another. And what a random thing to say." He said to the other girl
Tia glanced over at the other girl. "Puppies are cute, but I'm really more of a cat person... Jinx is back at my cabin."
Tia managed the ghost of a smile. "Yeah. She's just a few month old right now; my sister found her....." Her voice faltered and she stopped, her face suddenly as white as a sheet.
Triana's hand went to her right wrist out of habit, gripping it tightly right over the tattoo. "I...." She started to just give the usual response she always tried to do, but she had never yet managed to succeed. Blinking back tears she took a few steps away from them. "I... I should go." She choked out weakly.
Triana looked up at him, looking very different from the girl that had pushed him away moments before. "Are you sure you want to know?" She asked softly.
Tia laughed mirthlessly, looking down at her hands. "You know how I told you that I shot someone, but it was self defense? Well, my dad was Jack Diamond, who is one of those business men drug dealer types. Of course he had enemies. One of them wanted a leg up on the food chain so he took us. We were running and I managed to get one of their guns, and of course I was going to defend us. But I ran out of bullets, and they still had them, and we had to keep running... And we had to take cover and I went behind it first and I didn't pull her behind fast enough and now she's dead and it's all my fault and I could've, I should've saved her but I was too slow and now she's gone forever and it's all my fault." Tia blurted out. It had been so long since she had actually told someone about it, it was actually kind of a relief to just blurt it all out. But it was so hard. Saying it aloud just made it seem so more real to her, and she slid down to the ground, sobbing into her hands.
Felix chrouched down next to her and squeezed her shoulder,"you did the best you could. And what's happened has happened. At least she's happy in Elysium."
"B-b-but how do you know?" Tia sobbed. "She was only 9. She never did any big heroic things-- she never had time to! You don't know where she is." She pushed at him feebly, trying to just get him away.
Felix avoided her hands,"I bet she was great. She never did anything bad. I bet she wouldn't blame you if she talked to you today."
Triana flinched back away from him, staring at him balefully. "You don't know." She whispered. "You weren't there. You didn't see what happened. I could have saved her. If I was faster, I could have. She's dead and gone, and I could have prevented it. It's my fault, don't you see? After this, my father died. My best friends. Everyone I love dies."
"Oh yeah? Really?" Tia shot him a look. "Well, they're definitely dead. Have any other explanations?" She hissed.
Felix shook his head,"not about them being dead. I mean..that it was your fault. I don't think you would ever let someone die."
"It's not something I want. I mean, I try so hard. But they're still dead. And I could have pulled Tania down faster. I could have warned Dad how angry Tony was, and he could have prepared better so he wouldn't have died. I could have told my friend about everything so she would have been aware of it." Tia basically babbled.
"But I could have done more. I could have saved them. It's not good enough that I did my best." Tia said plaintively, trying to wipe her still teary eyes.
Tia shook her head as she looked over at him, closing her eyes. "No. No it's not. It's not okay, and it never will be."
"And just how do you know that too?" Tia challenged him softly, bending over and wiping her eyes with the bottom hem of her t shirt. She sat up again, but didn't look up.
Triana looked over at him warily, biting her lip. "But.... Why?" she asked softly, her hands tensing in her lap.
Tia bit her lip, studying him cautiously. She wasn't completely convinced, but couldn't think of a good counter argument right now. Nodding slowly, her hands loosened slightly in her lap. "Alright." she said softly, "Alright."
Triana glanced over at him, shifting to face him. "Your turn for gut spilling." she smiled slightly.
"I told you all about Tania." Tia pointed out, her voice a bit stronger now. Her hands clenched at the other girl's name, but her voice only wavered slightly on the name. "What about you before Camp?"
Felix grinned,"I was a delinquent at most of my schools. And lived with my brothers and mom. Whenever we left home and came to camp, she disappeared. We haven't see her since."
Triana chuckled slightly, "We had an interesting school. Dad was paranoid protective and hired us a few tutors instead of sending us to the school." she smiled slightly, absently tracing the tattoo on her wrist.
Felix laughed,"well if I ever had a tutor., they'd leave with their wallet misding and a cheese wiz hairdo."
"We had one for each class. One was our uncle, one was our aunt, stuff like that. So we didnt want to be too mean. Plus, all of them were kind of like Dad in the illegal side business sense, so we learned a lot of things on the side." Tia smiled as she held up his wallet teasingly.
