Releasing a breath he didn't know he'd been holding, Jay nodded, looking relieved. "Thank you," he told her, going over to her.
Viola wrote: "Nadia returns to picking the hidden berries. "Keep a look out," she says. "Do you even know how to use a weapon?" she asks after a moment."
"Yes," Jay answered, not offended by the question. He knelt down beside her, saying, "I'm best with a dagger."
"Yes," Jay answered, not offended by the question. He knelt down beside her, saying, "I'm best with a dagger."
Jay shrugged, silently relieved that they hadn't been caught. "Sure," he answered. "What did you have in mind?"
Viola wrote: ""You know how to swim right?" she says, moving in the direction of the beach. "Maybe even enjoy our little snack." She looks back to see if Jay is following."
Jay seemed to hesitate, but followed her after a moment, putting his hands in his jean's pockets. "That sounds good to me," he told her, "And yes, I can swim."

"Cool." she nodded. "Um... People told me that most of demigods got claimed after they arrived here. What about you? Or you knew it before?" she asked carefully. "If you don't mind telling me."
"I don't get claimed." she shook her head and smiled. "They already knew it when I walked to the camp and introduce myself. My parent was a demigod."
"Son of Poseidon." she replied. "He was hiding it pretty well I guess, I never knew." she chuckled and shrugging.
"No, Percy Jackson isn't my father." she laughed. "He's still alive." Dylan muttered slowly. "Anyway, I stay in Poseidon's cabin."
Jay's eyes widened, impressed and stunned. He hadn't actually met a child of the Big Three before, even though he'd been at the camp for a while now. "Guess that explains the beach."
With a nod of his head, Jay confirmed, "Bingo. They're always a crazy, weird, bright color. Never anything dark, like gray or black."
Jay shook his head, putting his hands in his jean's pockets. "They don't mean anything, really. They're just a bunch of colors, like a rainbow," he answered.
"Blue is not boring," Jay protested to her, shaking his head. "Blue's the color of the sky and the water, both of which you need to make a rainbow. It has many shades and hues, bright and dark. Not boring."
"Well now someone has," Jay told her, grinning brightly. He looked away from her and turned his attention to the area in front of them, not wanting to walk into anything, like a prank, or anyone, like an Ares camper.
Jay looked towards the sound, one of his hands going to his necklace on instinct. Probably just another camper..hopefully, he thought.
((Sorry! Ghosting!))
While Nadia fired at the creature, Jay twisted the pendant on his necklace. A moment later, it turned into his celestial bronze sword. He has his eyes narrowed, silently trying to go everything that he'd learned from the camp about fighting. He stayed off to the side, ready to attack it while its attention was on the daughter of Poseidon.

Jay rushed at the monster, trying to have confidence. He let his demigod instincts guide him, though he did his best not to accidentally hit Nadia as he swung his blade at the goblin, trying to either kill it, wound it, or get it off of her.
Looking over at Nadia, guilt and worry went through Jay. He looked at her shoulder, paling. "It's not as bad as it could," he told her, "but we still might want to get you to infirmary."
"I took too long," Jay responded, twisting the pommel of his sword. It turned back into his pendant, which he hooked onto his necklace, where it belonged. "I'm sorry, Nadia."
((Ghosting-ish.))
Jay looked stunned, then felt guilty again, this time for a different reason, but he actually managed to hide it pretty well. He caught up to her, his face laced with concern. "We can wrap up your shoulder in the infirmary."

((Well..technically, but the user's not active anyone. And they'd never kissed; They just went to prom together. Since the user hasn't been active for a while, I'm pretty much going with that Jay's single, but he misses his old crush.))

Justice walked over. "Those strawberries look really good," she said as she picked one and ate it, "Yum."

Justice saw movement near her. "Is-is that a dragon?" she asked the girl, even though she's seen a dragon before.
