“Lux said two, so it could take a while.” Gabe says
“Really? We’ve been working for like, five minutes.”
"im marina by the way sorry to be rude."
"It's nice to meet you Marina. If you guys want help, I can help"
"thanks im going to the hades cabin to see mia maria di angelo."
He rolls his eyes. “Fine, you can help. Lucio is a wuss.”
"Have fun with that. M'kay." she smiled
He looked him over. “Yeah, ok. Whatever you say, dude.”

"Here, Luc, let me," Lux said. She took the shelf from him. "You can make sure El doesn't ambush Gabe with a hammer."
“Thanks.” Gabe said to her, giving a tiny smile
"AHA! I DID it! You smiled!" Lux shouted. Ellisey stared up at her, mouth wide. "Gods. that was... Loud." Lux said, struggling not to say the curse word that Adrienne had taught Ellisey.
((Oh, I remember that))He stared at her. “I..you..what?”
"Nothing." Lux said apoplectically. "I'm fine. not freaking out in the slightest. I- wow, Lucio, you were right, this is heavy." She rambled.
“You guys are so weird.” He muttered. “Do you need help?”
Ashley walked back from the dining pavilion with popcorn and sat on her bed, eating it and watching them
“Hey!” She said, looking at the kid. “I don’t want to babysit!”
She groans and turns to the kid. “Want some popcorn?”
"No! I am insulted!" Ellisey screeched. "I am almost 8! He picked me up!" Lux sighed, ignoring her. "No. I do not. My dad has a six-pack, supposedly. Maybe I got my strength from him." She muttered under her breath. "Just hurry up."
Ashley sighed. “Stay quiet and behave, and I’ll tell you a secret.” “Can you hand me the tools?” Gabe asked him
"A secret?" Ellisey asked, clamping her mouth shut. Lux sighed and shook her head.
He hammered some nails in, wincing when he hit his thumbAshley smiled, happy that she had gotten the kid to be quiet
“I’m fine. Just got distracted.” He replies
He shakes his head. “I’m good. I’m used to pain.”
Lux whispered something that sounded like a hymn under her breath, and Gabe's thumb stopped hurting. "Too bad. Don't hurry up so fast that you hurt yourself." She chided. "I can't heal super smashed fingers."
He wiggled his thumb. “Thanks, Lux.” He said, hammering some more
About ten minutes later, Gabe was done with the shelf. “There you go.”
"gabe marina said hi to you."
“You’re welcome.” Gabe said, returning his high five, then turning to the other girl, he said “Who’s Marina?”
"the girl that was arguing with me."
“Um, ok?” He turns to Lucio. “Sorry, I think.”
He shrugs. “I guess.” He turns to Lux. “Do you want to finish the other shelf now or tomorrow?”
He shrugs. “I don’t really mind if I have to build another one.”
"uh yeah." chloe starts singing sunshine by coldplay
((Sorry I disappeared.))"Yeah, let's do the other one tomorrow." Lux agreed. "Now, we have to do something for you." She insisted.
((It’s ok))“Um..like what?” He asked
Lux thought for a moment. "Make you a helmet so El doesn't smash in your head?" She suggested helpfully. "Dedicate a song to you at the campfire tonight?"
“Wouldn’t i be the one to make a helmet? You said you were incompetent with machines.” He asked, raising an eyebrow
"Hey, a few of us can generate light, and sometimes make things like swords and shields out of it." Lux sighed. "But El is the only one that has that power, as far as I know. But there are a lot of us." She looked out the window at the sun. "Dad, you can stop giving us siblings now." She shook her head. "I don't even want to know how so many of us are the same age."
He wrinkles his nose at the thought. “Yeah, your dad is certainly…..” he trailed off, not sure what to call him. “And if you really want to do something for me, you can teach me to play an instrument.”
Lux grinned. "Oh, yes. This will be great." She ran over to a closet and brought out a spare guitar, and rummaged around for her own. "Ellisey Beame! Where is it??" She asked. Ellisey pulled the guitar off her bunk and handed it to Lux.
He awkwardly picks up the spare guitar. “I made a bet with one of my siblings that I could learn to play an instrument, and I don’t want to lose.” He explained
"So it's not because I radiate awesomeness and sunlight and you want to spend more time with me?" Lux joked, grabbing her own guitar from Ellisey and pulling over a pouf chair.
“Yeah, that’s totally the reason.” Gabe says sarcastically, sitting in a chair across from her.
"Okay then."
