Skyler's cheeks colored lightly when she heard his reaction. She wanted to be with him at that moment more than she wanted to be with anyone, which scared and thrilled her at the same time. As she kissed him, her hands ventured lower to his belt, beginning to unbuckle it. What if he didn't like her as much without her clothes to conceal her body? What if she was terrible in bed? What if he was ashamed to be around her afterwards? She froze then, blushing fiercely.

Ray noticed her freezing, and stopped. "Are you okay? We don't have to do this if your not comfortable. I'm not going to judge you either way", he told her comfortingly.

Skyler chewed on her lip. "Wouldn't you though?" she asked softly. The words were more to herself than to him. Her fingertips traced his chest. "I want to do this," she said with a little more certainty. She met his gaze with an earnest look. "But I have never done this before and... What if I don't look as nice without the clothes?"

Ray smiled slightly, pulling her into a tight hug. "I don't mind what you look like, or whether you're comfortable doing this or not. I'm afraid your stuck with me, because I'm not going anywhere", he promised quietly.

Skyler's eyes widened in surprise. She raised her arms to move around him. A smile formed on her lips. After a couple minutes, she said, "So... Since I cannot rid myself of you, does this mean we are..?"

"Skyler Silverstone, would you be my girlfriend?" he asked, smiling at her hopefully, entwining his hand in hers.

Skyler raised her free hand up to her lips to muffle her giggles and her cheeks colored faintly. "Yes, of course," she said, still laughing even after collecting herself. She grinned, threw her free arm around him, and kissed him on the lips.

Ray kissed her back, elated inside. He'd finally done it. He'd asked Skyler to be his girlfriend. And she'd said yes!

Skyler pulled away reluctantly, smiling. "I think it's starting to become late now," she said, wishing he could stay longer.

Ray nodded, a grin still on his face. "You're probably right", he admitted. He stood up, and picked his shirt up from the ground, slipping it over his head soundlessly.

Skyler stood up and walked him to the door, where she wrapped her arms around his neck again. "See you tomorrow?" she asked.

((Do you want to skip to a few weeks later when her disorder and depression has progressed? Maybe somewhere in the forest? Or we can time skip and have Ray come looking for Skyler and bumping into Kendra, who ends up telling him her concerns about Skyler, and then he find her afterwards?))

Ray nodded, and gave her a quick hug. "I can't wait, girlfriend", he said, a wide grin covering his face, as he walked out of the door, turning around to smile at her once more, before closing the door behind him and walking toward his cabin.

Ray was walking toward the Apollo cabin, but hesitated going in. He wanted to see Skyler, but kind of didn't just want to show up completely out of the blue. Also, he wasn't sure if he was being too overwhelming, he hadn't done the whole relationship thing in years.

Kendra moved about the room with a broom and dust pan, humming to herself. Quite honestly, her cabin mates usually were not the types that took to chores around the cabin very well, so she usually found herself doing most of the chores to pass cabin inspection. Usually, Skyler was around to help her, but lately, she started seeing less and less of the sweet, strawberry blonde. Probably because she was off with her boyfriend or- hopefully not the case- because she was avoiding herself and the other residents of the Apollo cabin. The latter, possible reason was most likely the case as Kendra found every night, there were no signs of Skyler preparing for bed, and every morning, no signs of Skyler having slept in her bed.

Ray shook off his worries, and walked toward the cabin door. He knocked loudly on the door, desperately hoping Skyler would answer it. A thought crossed his mind What if Skyler wasn't even in her cabin? He shook it off. She had to be there. Where else would she go?

Kendra wiped the sweat from her brow with the back of her hand and leaned the broom against the wall when heard the knock. As she walked towards the front of the cabin to answer the door, she ran her fingers through her hair, removing any dust that might have been there. "Hello?" she said, opening the door.

Ray took a breath, and smiled. "Hi, uh, is Skyler here?" he asked, looking past Kendra into the cabin and looking around, hoping to see Skyler standing behind her sister. But when she wasn't, he turned back to Kendra.

"Nope," said Kendra, shaking her head. "She usually helps me clean up for cabin inspections, but I haven't seen the girl in days. I thought she might have been hanging with you. You can come in and wait a while to see if she shows up." With the last suggestion, she opened the door wider for him to enter.

Ray walked in past Kendra, nodding. "I haven't been with her. At least, not in the last day or two", he said, glancing at Kendra.

Kendra left the door open. It was probably better to keep the door open. Otherwise, the air would be too stuffy and too congested with dust particles. "Well, then, I guess you have seen more recently than I have," she replied, walking back across the room and picking up the broom. She paused for a moment before turning back to him with a look of sisterly concern in her dark eye. "How is she?" she asked, unable to keep her emotions as bottled as she would have liked. After all, who could be sure if Skyler even confided in her boyfriend?

Ray though about how Skyler had been the last time her saw her. "She seemed...fine, as far as I could tell. Sort of shaky, though I guess", he said, not really knowing how to describe it. His girlfriend had something, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what the problem was. "Why, is there something wrong?" he then asked, his eyes filling with concern.

Kendra searched his face for a moment. "Have you ever noticed the way she shrinks away from food or the way she never eats anything when you are around her?" she asked slowly. "Feeling that food is harmful for her is not a healthy state of mind." She paused to see he picked up on what she was saying.

Ray nodded. "That's still happening?" he asked, getting worried again. He thought he'd convinced Skyler to stop, but apparently he was wrong.

Kendra nodded a little grimly. "It doesn't go away that easily," she said. "I think it has become worse. She avoids me and the rest of our siblings. She never even comes back to sleep. She is worse."

Ray glanced around the cabin. "What can I do?" he asked, knowing that Kendra was a medic. She had to have a solution for this, right?

[wallflower, Daughter of Metis]

"Try to encourage her to eat at least a little bit every day," Kendra said. "I am not sure how much she eats now, but at least two meals a day. Even if it is small, it is still something. And try to offer her foods she likes. Just give her something to look forward to, okay?"

Ray nodded. "Okay, I'll keep that in mind. Also, if anything happens, please let me know. I really care about her", he pleaded.

"I will try," Kendra replied slowly, "but sweets, I can't make any promises." She paused for a moment. "I don't think eating is the only issue either. She seems easily irritated sometimes or very low at others. And..." She glanced at Ray, not sure if her worries in this area were worthy of mentioning.

Ray looked at Kendra, swallowing hard. "And what?" he asked nervously.

"I only see small things- little strange things she does..." Kendra said. "I am not sure if they really point to anything.... But I think she might be trying to hurt herself."

Ray blinked, his face falling. "Oh", he said, not sure what to do. He wasn't really very good in serious situations.

"Just keep an eye on her? Please?" Kendra asked, noticing his change of expression. "I try to, but she keeps avoiding me." She paused for a moment as a thought occurred to her. "Did she say anything to you about any of this?"

Ray nodded. "I will", he told Kendra solemnly. "At least, I would if I could find her", he then said, glancing at his feet.

"She has probably been crashing at a friend's cabin," said Kendra. "So maybe try the Eros cabin. I believe she has been hanging out more with Margot lately. I don't know these days. She probably goes everywhere. The lake, the border, the forest..."

Ray nodded. "You're probably right", he said, glancing back up at her. "I might go and look for her", he said vaguely, and began walking toward the door.

"I suppose I will see you around then," said Kendra, watching him walk away. "And Ray?"

Ray stopped in his tracks, and turned to face her. "Yeah?" he asked, nearly at the door.

((Ahah I know... Um, how about the Eros cabin? And speaking of, are we still going to try Nic and Jourdain?..))

"Take care of her," she said. "She is as naive and sweet as she is beautiful, so don't move too fast with her- even if she wants to." She offered him a smile that was half amused and half servious.

((Sure. Um... I think they could be an interesting couple still. Want to have them meet again somewhere else?))

Ray thought back to the last time he'd seen Skyler, and nodded. He wouldn't let that happen again. Kendra said things shouldn't move too quickly, and he just wanted what was best for Skyler. He gave Kendra a quick smile, before walking out of her cabin.

((Yeah, sure. And I don't know. Where would Nic normally go? I gave Jourdain some of Emmaline's interests, so he is into fashion and hairdressing, but he has some of Kendra's affection and Skyler's awkward sweetness.))
