I think they are all immortal, but maybe there is an element that makes the god/goddess vulnerable to death. Or the monster(s) are the types that are dangerous enough to destroy a god.

And this was my other idea:
"I can join. I can use Margot, a daughter of Eros. Her mother Louise- a daughter of Thanatos- ran away from camp as a teenager due to an incident that she caused- which was not made clear to Margot. A little bit later, she met Margot's father and had Margot, whom was raised on the run until abandoned at the age of four. I thought that maybe Margot's mother could have disappeared into the Underworld and just never came back for Margot."
