( Brandon: Last chapter of Words of Radiance (Stormlight 2) is done. Still have to do epilogue, epigraphs, and a few interludes. But we have an ending!

I was going to try to make this one shorter than the last one. Technically, it IS shorter. Draft is still 1650 pages, of course...)

Yeah! Now just a few months of editing.

terpkristin | 4407 comments Wow. I know I read Way of Kings last year but I'm tempted to re-read before this....it was so good, this is great news.

Rick Sigh. More Sanderso... wait a minute!!! YAY, MORE SANDERSON! (I'm in the middle of Way of Kings, but it's on hold due to a silly amount of good books on my list right now).

Sky Corbelli | 352 comments Is anyone else afraid that their future self may have created a machine to write the kinds of books that they enjoy and then sent it into the past under the name Brandon Sanderson so that they would have more books to read? Because I'm just thinking about causality, and hoping that future me knew better...

That will be the 4th book he'd release this year, so maybe you're onto something Sky.

Christopher Preiman | 347 comments Even if he is quick I doubt we will see this one this year. Figure Jan at best. But you never know, the publisher could put a rush on it.

Casey | 654 comments I'm so excited to read this! I don't care how long it takes, I trust Sanderson with this series to get it right. So if it takes longer, I don't care. All good things...

Dharmakirti | 942 comments I'm looking forward to reading this. Way of Kings was my first experience of Brandon Sanderson and other than it being unnecessarily long, I quite enjoyed it.

I wish it had been longer.

Personally I could not imaging putting Way of Kings on hold to read anything else.

My thoughts exactly.

Then again I get a terrible sense of sadness when a loved book/series ends. I never want it to end... >.> I have book ending abandonment issues.

I got a notification from Amazon that the release date was pushed from November to January. For what it's worth.

There should be an un-cut version for books.

As for abandonment issues, just go Misery on Sanderson. (It shames me that I can't remember the character's name.) Kidnap him, break his legs, and keep him in the attic, they always look in the basement, and then it won't have to end.

Just do the rest of us the favor and wait till the series is over.

I for one do not condone the abduction of authors...
