This sounds really good. I read it and I would read the entire book :)

I have been thinking about this for a little while, but if you were a hero, villain or a woman from Greek mythology, who would you be? For a while, I thought I could maybe be Atalanta and during the late summer, maybe Andromeda(?), assuming of course, that I would have been saved and married by Perseus. Then, during the last month or so, I have been identifying a lot with Medea and Ariadne, probably because they were both capable princesses abandoned by the men they loved.

Emmeline Homer |meet me at midnight| aka bookwormpanda | 3438 comments Ooooo, this is hard. I've always liked Atalanta's story, because she went down (if you consider falling in love going down) with a fight, though I've also liked Circe a lot, too. I'm not positive those would be the ones I'd choose, but they're the best one's I've got.

wallflower | 15660 comments Mod
Yeah, I admit I have been finding Circe interesting too- for similar reasons as Artemis though: I like the idea of turning intrusive men into animals. Truthfully, when I posed this question, I was thinking more along the ideas of which figures in Greek mythology do you relate to, but I guess I wasn't very clear.

Emmeline Homer |meet me at midnight| aka bookwormpanda | 3438 comments It's okay. If I'd known I could do goddesses, I would definitely chose Athena. I just...feel really similar to her.

Lol Well, I meant mortals figures, really. Heroes, princesses/maidens, kings, enchantresses...

Who are your favorite Halloween-type characters do you like/relate with? I like Edward Scissorhands and these days, I kind of relate to Sally from Nightmare before Christmas. She is sweeter than I am though. I relate to how she falls apart and stitches herself back up. My depression sometimes gives all of these sensations as if I am too. I don't really like watching horror movies usually. Probably the most horror I watch is Sleepy Hollow. I like psychological thrillers and a little bit of gothic romances though.

Emmeline Homer |meet me at midnight| aka bookwormpanda | 3438 comments Yeah...almost all of the mythological humans I don't really relate to that much, or only a bit. I do admire a lot though.

About that...I don't really like Halloween-ish movies that much, not really my type of thing. I did just start watching Hocus Pocus, though, so I'll reply to this post again when I'm done with it. Sorry!

I normally don't relate to mortal figures in Greek mythology either. I only have during the last few months.

Huh, okay. So what types of movies do you like?

Emmeline Homer |meet me at midnight| aka bookwormpanda | 3438 comments Yeah. I don't really relate to many of the mortals I've found from researching.

I know, it's weird. I really like dark humor for some reason, also. I'd say I like comedy, or things that make me laugh, though I haven't watched many in a while. I'm looking forward to watching to Addams Family 2 when it comes out online or I can convince my parents to take me to it.

Lol I love dark humor and the Addams Family. I can relate to Wednesday Addams too. I don't know why I didn't remember her when talking about Halloween-type characters. Do you like Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight? Do you like also like dry humor or British movies? If you do, you might like the original Death at a Funeral movie. It's great. It has Peter Dinklage and Alan Tudyk.

I have been meaning to ask. What are your preferred pronouns? I think you might have said to someone else, but I don't remember. I want to make sure I use the right ones.

Emmeline Homer |meet me at midnight| aka bookwormpanda | 3438 comments Oooh, I haven't seen the Dark Night yet. I'll try to watch it sometime soon. I'll try the other one, too.

She/her. Thanks for asking! What are your's?

😊Sounds good. 👍🏻They are both great movies.

Yeah, of course.🙂I wasn't sure with your username since it seems very gender neutral. Mine are also she/her. Out of curiosity, how old are you? You seem like you are in the middle-older side of the group's age spectrum.

Emmeline Homer |meet me at midnight| aka bookwormpanda | 3438 comments Yeah, I was thinking about changing it to one of my pen names (Emmeline Homer), but since everybody knows me as BookwomPanda, I decided not. And since I'm technically not supposed to tell people my age, I'm just going to work one of my math homework problems in here and say the GCF of 48 & 60.

You can change it to Emmeline Homer and put BookwormPanda in parentheses, so that people know who you are. You can also use "/" if you don't mind people calling you one or the other.

Really? You seem older. I suppose that would make sense why your parents don't want you to say your age. I always felt like this group was a bit safer than other groups since most of the members here are usually in their pre-teens or teens. I am 23, but I joined this group when I was seventeen.

Emmeline Homer |meet me at midnight| aka bookwormpanda | 3438 comments Okay, thanks for the tip!

Yeah...I guess it makes sense. It is a really nice group. And people of all ages can enjoy the books, it just mostly middle-schoolers because you're assigned to read it and write a report on it in middle school.

BTW, I posted in the start a relationship group.

Thank you! I am planning on having her done by the end of the week, hopefully. Though she should be done by before Wednesday because I already have a lot done.

Emmeline Homer |meet me at midnight| aka bookwormpanda | 3438 comments No problem. And okay! Don't feel pressured about it, though. Just get her done when you get her done.

Luna (luna13) So this is a random chat right? What are you guys looking forward to in the new Nico and Will book? Also the TV show? Any fancasting/theories?

message 38124: by Luna (new)

Luna (luna13) I don't have any fancastings for Percy and Annabeth since I'm hoping they'll cast unknown actors to play them so they don't grow too old for the role. Sort of like the HP trio. Luke, Grover, Chiron, Sally, the Olympians, etc. could be played by anyone.

Though I was really hoping for the show to be animated :( Oh well.

I wasn't aware a new book about Nico and Will or a TV show was coming out, but that is great they are. I felt like Nico and Will were the only reason to read the Trials of Apollo series. Apollo and Meg were such annoying characters.

Yeah there is. The TV show's still in production or whatever while the book is going to be released in 2023. I haven't read Trials of Apollo yet so we'll see.

I feel like it would be cooler live-action, though animated would be more practical. I am a little biased, though, because I like live-action better than animated.

Nice to meet you too. 😊Are you hoping to roleplay him moving from his house to camp? You can use one of the outside of camp threads to roleplay at his house and any place outside of camp. If you want to roleplay arriving, we have threads for the farm road leading up to camp as well as Half-Blood Hill, Thalia's Pine, and Athena Parthenos for the border of camp.

Also, if you haven't created a character yet, you should create a character in Character Creation. If you have any other questions, let me know. 🙂

Okay, cool! That's good to know, but what I'm trying to talk about is how he found out about the camp, and what led him to it.

Mm, that still sounds like that can be roleplayed in the outside of camp threads. Maybe you can roleplay with someone who has a satyr and they can roleplay that with you. Can you create a character first?

message 38139: by [deleted user] (new)

Ooooh...okie dokie! I'll search for someone who does!
