@Kimiko: I guess the height doesn't matter that much. I thought they were ok for appearance, for me, when I see a movie based on a book, I do care about their appearance, but the biggest thing is if they can pull of the character correctly. I wouldn't care TOO much if they were blond instead of brunette, and the shortest instead of the tallest, If they can BE the character.
