It's very complicated. See, in my favourite TV show (Doctor Who), an alien named the Doctor has the ability to regenerate (get a new personality and appearance) when his body tires out. Known to us as the 1st, the 2nd, and such until 11. Because 11 hasn't regenerated yet. And my favourite Doctor is Matt Smith, who plays Eleven, and I consider his Doctor what got me into the show (and bow ties). So
