So how does roleplaying on here work?
It's all fairly simple once you get the hang of it. The first thing you do, is you create a character. You fill out the outline in the first comment of this thread: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
Our Big Three cabins are full at the moment, but you can make a grandchild of one of them if you wish (as in their parent is a demigod).
After that's done, most people go to this thread: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... to find someone to start a roleplay with.

Check the character list :) I don't believe there are any Big Threes, but there are some Hestia and Hera, I believe.

Can someone please help me to make my own character for roleplay? I am confused and any help that a Mod has to offer would be greatly appreciated.
You follow the format for creating a character. Check the Character List to see which cabins are open. It's easy.
I have a question for the mods! Are children of Chaos allowed? Someone told me they weren't, but then I saw on the capture the flag that children of Chaos were on the blue team and I was confused.

is there somewhere that lists all the gods, because i was going to make my charrie Ares, but now im starting to realize that she might fit better as someones else demigod. so???:)

Hello :) So, I wasn't sure where to post this I am sorry if it is in the wrong discussion. I have a question hah. I was an active member of the group like a year or two ago (I even had three characters) and I realized I kinda missed it. I was wondering what I have to do with my characters (should I post their character sheets in the create a caracter) to get back to roleplaying? Thanks.PS: One of them was a child of Zeus and I know there is almost never free space in the Zeus cabin so I could change his parent.

2. Capture the Flag: I noticed that not all the gods were on there. For example, I didn't see Athena on the list. So... What's up with that??
3. Does the Big Three rule still apply? I saw someone say it didn't apply anymore.

On Capture the Flag, Athena WAS there, you just have to look. I found Command-F to be very helpful.

You can ask a mod to create the cabin, but if one of the mods are not active at the time, you can create it yourself. The Big Three Rule still applies and the rules involving the virgin goddesses still apply.

Just a couple things I want to mention...
First off, please read the group rules located on the homepage. There are a few more little rules that are not featured there but will be soon.
1. Keep things PG-PG13. Meaning NO sex under ANY circumstances, nothing too close to sex either. You can be violent but keep it kind of low key. Like, people can be bleeding, etc, just no biting off limbs, intestines hanging out, the like.
2. The Big Three Gods (Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades). Because of the low rate of demigod children of them in the series, we do not want more than ten members in each cabin at one time. At the moment those slots are all filled. Loophole! Is that you can have a grandchild of Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades. The catch is that a grandchild of a god will have less power than a child of a god. For instance, if you're a grandchild of Poseidon then you can control water, but not to the extent of creating a hurricane or typhoon.
We have a special system for children of Hestia, Hera, and Artemis. We only allow 5 full on children of each of the goddesses. Yes, full children of the virgin goddesses. HOWEVER! When you create these characters, you have got to make their births special in a way that keeps their mothers virgins. For example, I believe someone made a character born from Hera's rage, one from the teardrops of Artemis, something like that. These characters DO have to be approved.
Please follow the rules, it's what keeps this group from going crazy.
Now that we've covered the rules, lets move onto the history of Camp Half-Blood for those who have never read the books but like the idea.
First off. Demigods. Demigods are children who have one parent who is a god and one who is a mortal. There are the big twelve greek gods (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Demeter, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hermes, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Dionysus, Hera, and Athena) and there are the minor gods as well (Nike, Hypnos, etc). We would like to keep the camp a mainly Greek camp. We do have a couple Roman characters and things here which is allowed, but please keep things Greek/Roman.
Camp Half-Blood is a safe haven for children of the gods to train and to live. There's a nook for every special talent. Create a camper, or you can create a creature like an nymph or satyr. Any questions? Post them in the questions thread or send a message to one of the mods.
Ok, now that all that is out of the way: Roleplay.
The best way to learn roleplay is to read through the ones that have already been done, and try it out for yourself! Basically it's like writing a book, but with other people. For more information on it, check out this link! http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
To create a character in order to roleplay, you go to this link: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... and fill out the outline (you can add things like likes, dislikes, etc. if you wish the outline is just a suggestion) Read the rules for making a character please! You do not need to be approved in this group, you can just start roleplaying. But keep in mind that sometimes we do ask you to change things like if the picture is too revealing or things like that.
