There are a lot of secrets and mysterious happenings in the book so what are some of your theories on them? What was Elizabeth talking about in the end? Why did Rachael try to kill herself? Who is Joshua?

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) i think whatever Elizabeth has planned for Racheal, is going to fall through, and Racheal is going to turn the tables on her.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Well you will find that out in the Deceived. I will not say if anyone is right or not. I will simply tell them which book it will be in. And very interesting theory :)

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) i want to Write a paranormal book. This is tooooo fun!

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

You should :) It is a lot of fun to write and talk about to people who have read it or are reading it. That way you can see what other people saw in your work

Katie (katieh_96) I think that what Elizabeth is planning is going to end up back firing on her. Rachael seems like a strong character to finally realise the truth.

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) That's what I think is well.

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) Sorry, I mean as well

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Also in the second book. But I have added more factors and things that Elizabeth has to hold over her so it may be possible that even if Rachael realizes the truth; she may be too far in to get out. or maybe she has something on Elizabeth. I guess we will find out

Katie (katieh_96) Oo, or Rachael could be deceiving Elizabeth! Maybe Rachael is up to something secretly!

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Maybe she is ;)

Jennifer | 38 comments I'm too full of spoilers. there is a good twist in the second book for Elizabeth as well as for Jesse. The end of July can't come fast enough.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

You are too full of spoilers. Jackie has read the second book as well. The third one is obviously still being worked on but you have read most of that as well plus you know what is going to happen
(PS: Jenn is my creative editor)

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) Cool! Just for reference to every one else, the second book is really really really good. A lot of surprises!

Katie (katieh_96) I can't wait to read it now!

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

July 31. I wanted to make sure this one was professionally edited and the editor needs some time to do it. But there will be some previews and sneak peeks coming out in between now and then. So far the only thing I have out about it is the first trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANRNCm...
It is not very informative :P

Justin (justinbienvenue) I think Rachael is pregnant with Joshuas child despite him now being dead cause it happened before she made her choice. It seems that Rachael is evil but Elizabeth is playing and and Rachael is playing right back with her with her own agenda.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Well you will find out at the end of July

Kaine Andrews (kaineandrews) | 75 comments Having just finished it, the thought that keeps occurring to me is that Elizabeth does not appear to have put any failsafes into her little toy. She's got something that is capable of being cruel, fiercely intelligent, immensely powerful and utterly heartless... but seems to have only a light leash on it.

Can't help thinking that the leash is going to snap, sooner or later, and Rachael's going to teach Elizabeth that one should be careful what one wishes for...

Also, the fact that it was brought up more than once that an Angel of Death can theoretically return dead loved ones says to me that we're not done with Joshua. But that may just be because I like him better than the simpering yes-man that is Jesse. ;)

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Interesting that everyone seems to believe Elizabeth is going to lose control. I won't say yes or no. but I find it interesting.
And not to worry; Jesse changes a lot in the second book. let's just say any guy is eventually going to get fed up when they keep giving and giving and are only getting cruelty back

Jennifer | 38 comments Kaine, I love your description of Jesse. I believe the words I used were very similar, yet far more vulgar. I absolutely adore Joshua, & have been patiently awaiting new pages to see where (mostly Shay), we can take him.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes Jenn; your wording was very vulgar and insulting when regarding Jesse at least in the first book. But admit it; you like him in the second book

Kaine Andrews (kaineandrews) | 75 comments Poor Jesse. He just gets no love. XD

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

I love him XD He's always been my favorite but don't tell Joshua that. He'll get a complex ;)
He's a lot different in the second book though. He's toughen up

Kaine Andrews (kaineandrews) | 75 comments I think Joshua already has a complex. Perhaps several. Perhaps even enough that his complexes have complexes. But that's why he's fun. ;)

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol, yes. Complexes with complexes. He's got quite a few. He's also very sneaky and self-serving but that is also a part of him.

Justin (justinbienvenue) The three of them remind me of the characters in Twilight and the love triangle in that book. Two teams and people choosing sides lol

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha, the difference being Rachael is not a helpless, "save me, Edward!" chick and Joshua atleast is a lot more man than Edward or Jake.

Kaine Andrews (kaineandrews) | 75 comments ...and the writing isn't awful, there's actually a plot that doesn't amount to "OMG I can't decide between my boyfriends LOLOLOL," and even though I may not like Jesse, he doesn't inspire fits of blind, berserker rage... ;P

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha, Kaine you make me laugh. Jesse may be a pushover, yes-man, and words Jenn used that I will not, but he's still obviously male and attracted to women. With Edward and Jake... I'm not so sure half the time

Justin (justinbienvenue) I never read the Twilight series nor do I plan to. However I am more the certain the beautiful and talented Shay here can write better then Stephanie Meyers..thats her name right? Yeah. I've heard people say she can't write and im going to just assume they are right. I have also seen people say S.K.N Hammerstone can't write..you know what I say to those people? Shut your pie holes! The girl can not only write but is talented and a great author! (:

Justin (justinbienvenue) Also, I did watch Twilight..Kristen Stewart cant act her way out of a paperbag.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

You guys are all awesome :) And yes; that is her name. And Kristen Stewart can't really act... Taylor Lautner wasn't too bad but then again not too great.

Justin (justinbienvenue) I saw her in other movies and she seemed fine but when I watched Twilight I was like omg..did you just forget how to act? She sounds british in one scene when saying Vampire..why? I dont know!

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't know either. I think she looked the part but she didn't know how to play the part

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) I think they all forgot how to act, I must admit, I like the books. However, the movies... They suck.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

I read the first book. I don't think it should have been shelved as YA horror but rather YA romance. if it had stayed as that then I think it would have been better. It wasn't god awful. I think I rated it three stars. I think it was just too focused on the romance to be horror. Yeah; there was some vampire stuff but just not enough for it to be anything else.

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) Are you serious? Who shelved it as horror? It is a Romance book basically, with some paranormal. LOL

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Amazon did, lol. They shelved a lot of paranormal romance as horror

Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews (jackiefireicebookreviews) That is one book that is not horror.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol, definitely not. There is nothing in that book that is creepy or even mildly disturbing.

Justin (justinbienvenue) Its horror..a horror to read!

Jennifer | 38 comments I saw something on YouTube a few years back making fun of Twilight. It was poorly animated & called a vulgar word for a lady part light. (Tw#tlight). My favourite part of that story was Voldemort. look it up for a laugh. you should also look up bad lip reading versions of Twilight. they're worth the laugh too. heck, I prefer them to the movies.
