Computer/internet rules

I'm not sure if there's already a topic for this or not, someone tell me if there is...but if not... :]

What kind of rules does your family have around computer/internet, and what do you think is acceptable?

My parents have bellsouth parental controls on our computers. I think it's fine, considering that there are sites out there that I don't want to go to, anyway. The only thing that I hate is the timer. It comes on at 11pm and stays on until 8am.

ahhh that's no fun with the timer!
My parents used to actually give us limited time on the computer though like originally only a half hour a day, and then it grew to an hour, omg and thankfully now we can go on for as long as we want
but we have like times like no computer before 4 on weekdays and none between 11am & 4pm on weekends.

Yeah.

I have a laptop from the school, so I'm basically online 24/7 until the summer when they have to take him back.

There's not really any specific restrictions in my family. It's just "Use your head and common sense. Don't give out personal information to people. If you're unsure if a website is OK then ask." stuff like that
