Dosha (Bluestocking7) Beard (bluestocking7) | 4376 comments Reading and listening to The Boys from Biloxi by John Grisham, NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, While Justice Sleeps by Stacey Abrams, and listening to Dyer Consequences by Maggie Sefton. Just finished Song Yet Sung by James McBride, and John Woman by Walter Moseley - what a crazy experience that was! Highly recommend, but put your thinking cap on.

Dedria A. | 258 comments Hi. I have like five books in a jet landing pattern, but am in the pages of George Saunders Liberation Day. Brand new book for the esteemed short story writer but A.Lincoln drew me to Saunders. His Lincoln in the Bardo slayed me. Mysterious, funny and messy about the 16th president mourning.

Sarah-Hope | 22 comments The Sleeping Car Porter by Suzette Mayr The Sleeping Car Porter blends historical fact with a bit of (what may be) magic to explore the endlessly demanding life of a Black, gay sleeping car porter working a trans-Canada train. This book is utterly original and deeply engaging.

Hi, Shaylah:

(Good question, Shaylah ;-) ...) There is a link just above the comment box, center right, for "add book/author" that lets you search the version of any book here on GR to link to in the comments.

How are you liking Nights of Plague, Your Majesty? I've been thinking of reading his "Snow" for a long time, but my Turkish reading is not quite up to it, yet, from what I hear of that book (that it is complicated and in difficult Turkish).

Karin | 629 comments Last night I started The Violin Conspiracy. Initially I was disappointed, but it's been growing on me as I've continued, although it isn't going to end up a 5 star read for me. That said, it's a strong debut novel so far. I'm about half way through it.

I wish I'd read it without all of the hype :)

Hey Dosha!
I read it a couple weeks ago. I thought it was good. I was kinda shocked when I found out who the killer was. I wasn’t too pleased with the ending but I was happy for the main character.
