Michael looked between the nomads and Vanessa. Edward obviously couldn't find anything to make out of.

"She doesn't need to explain herself to all of us. Who do you want to tell?" Michael looked at Vanessa once again.

"We will stay here as long as it takes until the problem is solved," The female nomad snarled.

Vanessa sighed. "I put their entire clan...and two cities full of humans...I led them to their deaths."

Many of them looked confused.

"Vessa lies!"

She couldn't make eye contact with any of them.

"I mean...I killed them."

"Why did you do that?" Michael whispered.

Edward and Toshka still looked calm. Michael and Alexis were the ones that looked scared and shocked at the same time. The nomads gave a small smile. They were ready to give her punishment, but they didn't know when they would ever be able to give it to her. Michael slowly recovered from shock and turned to face the nomads completely.

"And who are you to be the ones to give any punishment?" Michael snarled back at the female nomad. "But I am still a bit confused."

Michael looked at Vanessa again.

"Did you kill the clan too? Or did you put them in danger? And you better give me a truthful answer." He waited for an answer.

Vanessa took a deep breath. If she were human it would have cleansed her...but the only thing that could do that now was fresh blood.

"I killed their entire clan...all but five. And..." She paused. "...and this clan...they're worse than the Vulturi!" she spat, looking directly at the nomads. "These vampires were hired for their clan...I can smell the human blood on their breaths! You can too, I know it!"

"Vanessa...why?"

That was the question, wasn't it?


Why?

Michael stared at her. She had killed vampires? Why had she done that? He looked at the nomads. How could any vampire be worse than the Volturi?

"Vanessa. What will they do to you?" Michael whispered softly.

"You do not need to know that!" shouted the female nomad. "You probably don't want to be watching either..."

"No... it can't be true...... not her" Alexis whispered to herself. She was hiding behind Michael at this point. There was a period of silence. Everybody was waiting for Vanessa to say what her fate was....

"They won't kill me...right away."

Everyone was waiting.

"You all know what it's like to go for months without blood..." It was time to stop beating around the bush with this. "They're going to take me and burn me alive, and then they'll chain me up and not give me a drop of blood for an entire year. Then they'll tear me apart slowly...and burn my head last."

((sorry for the morbidity))

The female nomad smiled with pleasure, picturing Vanessa's burning day. Everyone else looked horrified.

"We won't let it happen." Michael hissed. "There are five of us. Three of you."

The female nomad still smiled, "Wait, one, two, three, four. It looks like there are only four of you. Two boys and two girls."

((Toshka went to get help from other vamps.))

"Where did Toshka go?" asked Alexis.

"You can just keep our mouth shut!" said one of the nomads.

Alexis cowered behind Michael like a scared kitten.

"You have no right to be that rude." Michael snarled.

The nomad glared at him. Edward looked between the two of them. He didn't want anyone to get hurt. The female nomad was now crouching. Then she stood up and smiled. "I guess your little friend decided to protect himself and leave."

"He wouldn't do that." Michael whispered.

((AND THEN TOSHKA ATTACKS AND THE NOMADS DIE! AHHH! AHHH! AHHH! Lolz...))

Toshka came out of his crouch position and turned to look at everybody. Alexis stood with her mouth open in shock. Everybody else stared with puzzled expressions.

"How?" started Michael. "...Why?"

"Well, I was kinda hoping I could join your coven... I figured rescuing you was a good start" he added with a smile.

"Well we certainly do owe you, Toshka. You are welcome to stay with us." responded Edward. Alexis beamed.

"Yay!! We are like a family!" Vanessa cringed at the word. She was a lone.. well wolf. She didn't want to be part of this "family". It was enough that this new kid showed her up...
