I am a huge Picoult fan and have read ALL her books. Most appealing to me is that she weaves her story line about a current social issue. The only novel I could not get interested in was Songs of the Humpback Whale.

~ Picture perfect is an excellent one! The Pact and Nineteen Minutes. I also just finished reading Between the Lines also by her and her daughter. All of her books are fantastic.! (:(:
Nineteen Minutes and The Tenth Circle. There was also some book about wolves and how the family coped, but I forget the title. I do remember that I liked it.
I love all her books. I believe she takes her research very seriously, actually going to live in communities that feature in her stories - and it shows.
Has anyone read Lone Wolf ? I picked it up at the library and have it on my to read list. I've only ever read one Picoult book , My Sister's Keeper and loved it! I'm now a big fan and welcome the inspiration on what to read.
House Rules is my favourite. I agree with the comments that a lot of her books are similar, but I loved House Rules.
I've read every single book from her and I love them all.
My two favorites are Salem falls and house rules. I love both of them, especially Salem Falls.

You should read Between The Lines by Jodi Picoult and her daughter. It's about this girl who reads this fairy tale book and the prince from the book begins to talk to her and now she has to find a way to get him out the book because he wants to be on Earth. Beautiful and romantic as well

I did! I love it but I know a lot of people who didn't like it much.

I loved the pact as well! I liked the book a lot more than the movie as well.
Have read quite a lot of her books, Handle with care and Nineteen Minutes are probably my favourites. Have just bought The Storyteller for my Kindle so looking forward to starting that.

This book is great if you like reading books about "family issues" this isn't a love story but it has a lot of love in it and you fall in love with the characters right away and hen you're torn but you want a happy ending(of course).
So good though. I read it in a day or two because I was hooked from the beginning. After reading other people's reviews I don't think this book is predictable either.

I'm a big Jodi Picoult fan and have all but a couple ofher books. I sponsor a book club in my town and THE LONE
WOLF was last month's title and it made for some great
discussion. My three favorites are SECOND GLANCE, SALEM
FALLS, and THE STORYTELLER. All are five stars in my
opinion.

Any and All. I've not yet met a Picoult book i did not like. her characters come alive, vivid personalities, and enough nobility and flaw in each that a reader can related - as if they've known them, met them.
Change of Heart was my favorite. A must must read! Plain Truth was great too, especially for Amish fans.
I've read many of Picoult's books. My favorite is 19 Minutes. Great read.

I agree...I was so disappointed by the movie. I feel they ruined the whole concept of the book!

Ilove JOdi Piccoult - seem to devour each one as I get ahold ofit. The Storyteller is my all time favorite.
I loved the book Plain Truth I love books about Amish and those kind of books. The movie left stuff out and if you read the book first you will notice what has been left out.
The books by Picoult that would receive my highest recommendation would be: House Rules (shows some growth from earlier works), Nineteen Minutes, My Sister's Keeper, and Keeping Faith. While there is some similarity of setup in some of her novels, each one deals with a different issue that often lands in an actual court -- if not the "court" of public opinion. I like the fact that she makes an effort to represent different sides of an issue. She tries to create balanced, realistic human beings struggling with real issues. I like her stuff.
I've read everything Picoult has written and the only thing formulaic about her writing (if you can call this formulaic)is she always has the reader questioning themself about their own preconceived notions and values. Every one of her stories sets up some sort of moral dilemma (at least one) and I think most readers go into her novels thinking they know on which side of an issue they stand, but end up having to take a look at the issue from all sides. This is a testament to Picoult's excellent research and writing skills. I loved her very first novel "Songs of the Humpback Whale",and everything she's written since, most notably, "Handle with Care", "House Rules", and "Lone Wolf". I think Picoult often gets short shrift because she writes popular and topical fiction. It's a pity as she's an articulate, talented, and sophisticated writer, unafraid to tackle difficult and sometimes almost taboo topics. I hope she continues writing for a long, long time.
Linda Reck. Lone Wolf, My Sister's Keeper, Nineteen Minutes and whatever else you can get your hands on. She's very readable.
I really enjoyed "Vanishing Acts" as well. I would read any of her books because her writing is so amazing I always get lost in the story. She has a unique way of weaving the tale so that you see every side of each character.
It really doesn't matter which one you read next because after a few you will reach saturation point and never pick Picoult up again. The sameness of her novels i.e. the moral dilemma; the mother who loves their child more than anyone else in the whole wide world EVER; the God given right of that mother to flout the law in the name of that unequalled love, they will slowly start to grate and annoy so much that, one day, you will see the light and discover that Diane Chamberlain is so much better.
Nineteen Minutes, The Storyteller, Second Glance, and Change of Heart are my favorite ones. They are all as amazingly great as usual. Love all her books so far!
Picoult is such a depressing writer. Unless you are really going for that grimly heart-wrenching feeling, stay away from Picoult's works.
I am a HUGE Jodi Picoult fan so I say read them all. I still think My Sister's Keeper is the best, but Nineteen Minutes is way up there too. I think my least favorite was Sing You Home. I am an author and my style is very similar to Jodi, although I do not profess to be near as good as her. But I love current event drama which makes people think "what if" and perhaps see a different side to a very traumatic experience. Oh yea, loved Storyteller too
I have read 19 Minutes , The Pact, and My Sister's Keeper. LOVED the first two. Want to read Change of Heart, due to someone's recommendation, and The Storyteller.
I haven't read right through this thread, so the two I'm going to suggest may already be here. Firstly I have to admit I am NOT a fan of this author, but I picked up "The Pact" years ago, read and liked it, which then led me to "Nineteen Minutes" - these are the two I would suggest. I have read "My Sister's Keeper" - again enjoyed it, but after that I just couldn't find one I liked and usually gave up after a few chapters. I just find her writing a little too twee for me. I don't go for the heart-wrenching stories that require boxes of tissues. I know she always picks topical and controversial subjects, but it's her style I don't care for, which is a very personal thing.I wouldn't watch another film adaptation, should there be one, as I though "My Sister's Keeper was awful on every level

Maddie wrote: "I read My Sister's Keeper kind of on a whim; I didn't necessarily want to, but I am writing a novel that is compared almost religiously to this one, so I wanted to see why it is. And I was blown aw..." I love Jodi Picoult. I have read almost all of her books. I'm going to agree with a lot of people on this feed, and say that sometimes it can seem like the same plot over and over, but there are definitely some books of hers that stand alone and are simply amazing reads. 19 minutes is a great one. The plot is always developing, and I myself have read it three (four?) times. I think my other favorite written by Picoult would have to be The Pact. The way that it's written (it's written backwards) is such an interesting device, and it adds so much to the already awesome plot. None of her others will probably compare to My Sister's Keeper, but they are worth exploring. I also liked the Plain Truth, which was about life on an Amish farm (don't worry, it was a lot cooler than it sounds). The reason that I am able to read SO many of her books is that her amount of research and dedication to making these books the most factual and "real" that she can is outstanding. If you liked reading about the cancer itself, maybe her book Handle with Care would be a good choice. It's about a girl with Osteogenesis (brittle bone disease) and it's absolutely captivating. Hope I helped!(Your own book sounds awesome, by the way!)
I recommend everyone to read House Rules. It's very good and shows a reality that doesn't always want to see.
