Stuti Rai (andsothefireflies) | 10 comments Dudes, I need magic books like Laini Taylor's. Anything with alluring characters, exocticness, evil pixies, prosaic writing style. Enchanting, terrible and out of the norm books. If it's got anything to do with Goblin Market, so much better.

Otherwise, if anybody's got a rec for cluedo-style mystery novels. Posh, eccentric, paranoid characters tangled in a mystery and blaming each other. Splendid inheritance must be involved.

Sorry I'm not more specific.

the only book i know that is about goblin's market is:

Hide Me Among the Graves. it helps to have read The Stress of Her Regard first, and that is such a fantastic book, i strongly urge you towards it, but if you resist the suggestion, you will probably still be okay.

as far as cluedo goes, i will tell you about What a Carve Up!, which should be pretty perfect for you. and maybe The Westing Game, although - no inheritance.

for the laini taylor, maybe Tender Morsels?? lush and fairytale like, dark and brutal like taylor. i also really enjoyed The Snow Child, but that one is both less dark and less fantastic, in the fantasy sense of the word. but that one i would still say maybe.

Betsy | 190 comments I don't really know what cluedo is or the goblin market either. But I wonder if you might enjoy Midnight Riot, which is the first in a series about a young London cop who discovers that he is a wizard and joins the wizard unit of Scotland Yard. He spend a lot of time investigating crimes of magic, fighting demons, and trying to learn how to use his powers. Again, no inheritance, I'm afraid, but they are enjoyable off-beat, somewhat dark mysteries.
