I've read some of Joe Hill's work and enjoyed both Horns and Heart-Shaped Box.
I have only read a short story by Joe Lansdale so I can't really comment on his work and James Herbert was a great writer with a ton of work to choose from.
Someone not on your list is Kealan Patrick Burke, you should definitely try Kin, it's an amazing read.

No bias there, Adam. ;)

Boy's Life is an amazing read, Kate. I hope you enjoy it.

Hey Kacy. You should really check out Tight Little Stitches on a Dead Man's BackIn my opinion, this story is a classic that is not too be missed. I've read a lot of Lansdale's work, but my thoughts always seem to return to this one due to the impact it had on me.
