I loved the Cadfael series - read them all in the 1990s I think it was, after visiting Shrewsbury. Was disappointed with the tv adaptations - mucked around with the stories too much. I would like to read them again too as I've forgotten a lot of it now, but I keep hoping that they will come out on kindle. I did have the whole series in omnibus editions which was heavy and difficult to read, I've only recently passed them on.
I have read them all, I did have the omnibuses as well and most of them in paperback. At the moment they all seem to have legs, as soon as I want the next in the series it vanishes.Yes Kindle versions would be nice.
I've never heard of these, if I ever get to the library I'll look for them. As I have nearly 70 paperbacks its unlikely to be soon!

I loved them, historical whodunnits set in the 12th century.

I'm watching the TV series right now - I've seen about 10 episodes in the past few months - and love it.
I've set off on the quest :-)I started with 'A Rare Benedictine' which is the prequel written much later and and now going through in Chronological order and have got to St Peter's Fair.
And enjoying them all again :-)

Can't remember many details now, but I do remember that the second book, One Corpse Too Many was particularly good and brought alive what it might have been like to be caught up in the events of that civil war.

I have a copy of A Rare Benedictine but it disappeared. I saw it until about a week before I wanted to read it. I swear there is a book goblin in my house.
I was handed all seven of the omnibus editions by my FiL who had borrowed them, so I had no excuse. Anyway, I'm off to read :-)
Wow, you are further ahead than I am. I am still hoping my copy of The Devil's Novice: The Eighth Chronicle of Brother Cadfael turns up.
