Read this YA book with caution

Have you read a YA book that you would either caution another Christian mother about or that you wouldn't recommend? Tell us about it...

So many of the modern popular YA includes at least some sexual content. Part of the problem is that we have books written at a 11-12 year old level with 16 year old characters who are beginning sexual exploration. I am thinking specifically of Twilight, Hunger Games, and Divergent. I wouldn't recommend Twilight to anyone of any age, but the other two have some important themes besides the love story. As our kids get older, we need to be willing to read books ourselves before giving them to our kids. Then make the decision to say no to it or be prepared to discuss the more grown up themes with them.
