Hey Rick, you might consider nominating it this time too - or something else with your Rickommendation! :)

The short article he wrote in Out was titled "A Family Outing". I loved the writing and wanted to know more, as I was born in NYC to Puerto Rican parents.

Have you read that one, Rick? I read one of his earlier books and found it nasty and badly written. Maybe his writing has improved since then? This actually sounds pretty good.

No, I haven't read it. It sounded good, and I think someone recommended it to me.

Have you read this one Nancy? It looks like something I might like, but I've never heard of it before.

message 464: by Nancy (new)

Nancy | 2838 comments I haven't, Greg. When I can't find titles on my own shelf, I'll do random searches. We're finding some good stuff here. :)

Nancy | 2838 comments There's another game here that involves book covers:

Let's keep this one simple.

The Wild Man

Patricia Nell Warren wrote this other great gay man's novel (before writing The Front Runner). It's a shame more people haven't heard of it. It's actually a fictionalized account inspired by the life story of a couple people she knew. Can't believe more people haven't heard of this story featuring a gay matador! I read it years ago and have been meaning to re-read it so I can write a review that does it justice.

BTW... Wanted to invite players of this game to a game thread that I started some time ago. It's a bit more complicated. And its not limited to queer lit, but those of us who play enjoy it. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
